Stewards Summary of Judicial Outcomes - Update FINAL: issued Sunday 20th August 2017 at 1800hrs.

Matters from Race 4:

Race Director Incident Determinations

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an allegation that Car #55, Kurt Kostecki ran up the inside of Car #15, Adam Marjoram at Turn 5 and “subsequently lent on #15 through initial corner and pushed him wide, then made further contact on exit of turn pushing Car #15 off track and therefore gaining position”. After reviewing the available evidence the RD found no evidence that Car #55 was wholly or predominately to blame for the incident.

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an allegation that Car #88, Paul Dumbrell was alleged to have Breached Rule D11.2.13 by overlapping Car #35, Todd Hazelwood during the Safety Restart in Race 4. After reviewing the available evidence the RD found no evidence that Car #55 was wholly or predominately to blame for the incident.

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an allegation that Multiple Cars were alleged to have passed Car #21, Jack Smith under Yellow Flag Conditions at Turn 2 to Turn 3 during Race 4. After reviewing the available evidence the RD found no evidence that Car #55 was wholly or predominately to blame for the incident.

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an allegation by Matthew White Motorsport that Car #44, Richard Muscat (Garry Rogers Motorsport) had team members on the Grid on the start of the Formation Lap. After reviewing the available evidence the RD determined the above Incident does not warrant being referred to the Stewards.

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an incident that occurred at Turn 2 during Lap 1 of Race 5 which resulted in Car #26, Shae Davies being contacted. The contact resulted in a spin and DNF for Car #26. Following a review of judicial camera footage, it was found Car #44, Richard Muscat had made contact with Car #26, however neither car was found to wholly or predominately to blame for the incident.

Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed

The Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Car #44 Richard Muscat, for a Breach of Schedule B2 Article 2.2 Reckless Driving, (causing contact with Car #38, Will Brown who then made contact with Car #28, Jack LeBrocq sending Car #28 into the barrier on Main Straight at Race start).

STEWARDS SUMMARY OF JUDICIAL OUTCOMES Following an investigation by the RD after the session into an alleged breach of Schedule B2 Article 2.1 Careless Driving, by Car #55, Kurt Kostecki (made contact with Car #54, Nathan Morcom at Turn 2 during Race 4, causing Car #54 to spin off the circuit), and an admission to the breach, the Stewards imposed a penalty of Fifteen (15) Seconds added to Car #55’s Race Time for Race 4.

Race Director Incident Determinations

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an allegation that Car #56, made contact with Car #5, Joshua Kean, causing Car #5 to spin and lose multiple positions. After reviewing the available evidence the RD found no evidence that Car #56 was wholly or predominately to blame for the incident.

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an allegation that Car #57, Brodie Kostecki passed Car #21, Jack Smith, under Yellow Flag Conditions at Turn 2. After reviewing the available evidence the RD found no evidence that Car #57 was wholly or predominately to blame for the incident.

Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed

Following a post-race investigation by the RD after the session and an admission by Image Racing of a breach of Rule D12.7 (a wheel nut from Car #48 rolled across the working lane and into the Fast Lane), the Stewards imposed the penalty of a fine of $1500 and loss of fifteen (15) 2017 Dunlop Super2 Series Points for Image Racing.

Following an investigation by the RD after the session into a suspected breach of End of Race Procedures, Car #1, Garry Jacobson, failed to have complied with the Team Manager Briefing Instructions following the conclusion of Race 2 and an admission to the breach, the Stewards imposed a Two (2) Grid Spot Penalty in Race 3 at Round 5 of the 2017 Dunlop Super2 Series.

Race Director Incident Determinations

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an allegation that Car #1, Garry Jacobson and Car #38, Will Brown made contact in Turn 8 and between Turn 8 and Turn 9. After reviewing the available evidence the RD found no evidence that either car was wholly or predominately to blame for the incident.

Following the Race the RD conducted an investigation into an allegation that Car #57, Brodie Kostecki was alleged to have made contact with Car #98, Renee Gracie at Turn 2. After reviewing the available evidence the RD found no evidence that either car was wholly or predominately to blame for the incident.

Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed

Following an investigation by the RD after the session into a suspected breach of Schedule B2 Article 2.1 Careless Driving, Car #5, Joshua Kean (made contact with Car #57, Brodie Kostecki at Turn 2 on Lap 4 causing Car #57 to spin off track and Car #5 to retire with damage) and an admission to the breach, the Stewards imposed a penalty of Five (5) Second Post Race Time Penalty added to the Race 1 time of Car #55.

Following an investigation by the RD after the session into a suspected breach of End of Race Procedures, Car #67, Anton De Pasquale, failed to observe the End of Race Procedure by continuing around the track past Turn 4 and an admission to the breach, the Stewards imposed a Two (2) Grid Spot Penalty for Race 2 of Round 5 in the 2017 Dunlop Super2 Series.

Following an investigation by the RD after the session into a suspected breach of End of Race Procedures, Car #6, Richie Stanaway, failed to observe the End of Race Procedure by continuing around the track past Turn 4 and an admission to the breach, the Stewards imposed a Two (2) Grid Spot Penalty for Race 2 of Round 5 in the 2017 Dunlop Super2 Series.

The Stewards imposed a Pit Lane Penalty on Car #18 Matt Chahda, for a Breach of Schedule B2 Article 2.2 Reckless Driving, (causing contact with Car #99 Mason Barbera at Turn 2).
