EAST STROUDSBURG UNIVERSITY of PENNSYLVANIA Kendrick Williams Dusty Reed Sr. TB Jr. WR Jordan Hallman Eric Deery R-Sr. WR Sr. TB Robert Bleiler R-Jr. WR Matt Freed - 2008 Consensus All-American 2012 Football DEREK BROWN 1991-2012 East Stroudsburg University and the Warriors football program mourn the loss of Derek Brown, a junior linebacker, who died on Thursday, July 5 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Saturday, June 30. Brown, 20, an Elementary Education major and graduate of Souderton High School, was a two-year letterwinner at outside linebacker and safety for the Warriors. Derek continues to give in his passing, as eight organs were donated through the Gift of Life Donor Program, which serves eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. He is survived by his parents, Jack and Lillian Kerns, and two brothers, Matt and Ryan Brown. Matt was a four-year letterwinner at tight end for the Warriors and graduated in 2011. Derek played in four games as a true freshman in 2010 before a season-ending injury. He returned to play in 10 games, including nine starts, between linebacker and safety as a sophomore.
