    Section C C.1 Risk Management and Internal Audit Internal Audit The Directorate’s Audit Committee oversees, on behalf of the Director-General, the Directorate’s governance, risk, compliance and internal control environments, and provides assurance as to their effectiveness. The Committee acts independently of management. The EDD Audit Committee Charter was reviewed and agreed (with only minor amendments) in November 2012. There were no changes to the membership of the Audit Committee during the financial year. Annual and forward audit programs are guided by governance, risk and compliance programs and are supported by an Audit Recommendations Implementation Register. The Directorate’s three-year internal audit program was agreed by the Senior Executive Committee and by the Audit Committee in November 2012, with the program including a balance of compliance and performance audits across the three years. A significant matter of interest for the EDD Audit Committee during this reporting year was the implementation of recommendations identified by the Auditor-General during the 2011-12 financial audit, to improve the control framework in place within the Directorate. By the end of the 2012-13 reporting year the majority of recommendations had been addressed and completed. The Audit Committee specifically congratulated the relevant areas of the Directorate on their work in documenting and improving governance and control processes. Four internal audits were completed during the reporting year, with a further three internal audits undertaken but not yet complete at the end of the year. The internal audits completed and presented to the EDD Audit Committee during the 2012-13 reporting year were: • Follow Up Audit – Territory Venues and Events – November 2012 • Review of credit card usage – May 2013 • Review of the payment of invoices – May 2013 • Review of salary acquittal reports – June 2013 The EDD Audit Committee met on six occasions during 2012-13.

    Return to play plan – Nova Scotia Cricket Association Introduction In preparing this plan, NSCA consulted with Sport NS, Cricket Newfoundland & Labrador, Cricket New Brunswick, Cricket PEI, Quebec Cricket Federation, medical professionals, and national body Cricket Canada. In addition, it was reviewed by Ingleton Liburd, General Manager of Cricket Canada, with input from various other provinces within Canada. The plan was prepared by a committee of the National Board and approved by the NSCA Board in a meeting on May 31st 2020. About cricket While NSCA is a PSO affiliated with Sport NS, Cricket is not well known in the province, it may be useful to outline the main aspects of the sport to assist in evaluating this plan. It is a bat and ball game without physical contact, with typical distances of more than 2m between players. It is closely analogous to softball and baseball. In Nova Scotia the game, as organized by and under the purview of NSCA, is played only on the Halifax Commons which makes enforcing the control mechanisms effective. Our programmes have two main components when normally carried out: Practice Practice takes place with variable numbers of High Performance (HP) athletes. The main practice facility is Spryfield Lions Gym (Indoors) and Ridgecliffe Middle School (Playground) for physical training. There are also “nets' ' within the batting cages – at the Warehouse (private facility in Lower Sackville), where at a lane each where a single batsman will practice against 3-4 bowlers taking turns to bowl at them. In addition fielding practice will take place at Ridgecliffe Middle School playground where about 20 participants practice fielding, catching and throwing, usually widely spaced.

The position will assist the event presentation, match experience and venue logistics for these matches in line with club’s purpose to be a loved Club that unites and inspires the Thunder Nation. Organisation Environment Cricket NSW is the peak state sporting organisation responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of cricket throughout New South Wales. The purpose of CNSW is to inspire everyone to love cricket. To achieve this purpose, Cricket NSW has three key focus areas 1. Fans – No. 1 for fans 2.
