On April 6th join Federal Hill Main Street for the kickoff of Neighborhood Lights in conjunction with Light City 2018. The parade commences at Federal Hill Park and will end with an after party, immediately following the parade, at the Main Street office. Local merchants will be open late so please take time to drop in and check out their wares. Saturday, April 27th is the Mayor’s Annual Spring Cleanup. The City dumpster will be at the corner of William and East Montgomery from 9am – noon. The cleanup is a perfect chance to meet your neighbors while beautifying the sidewalks and streets of Federal Hill. Page 4 -April 2018 FederalHillBaltimore.org Federal Hillsider Federal Hill and Locust Point Announce Light City Displays and Events By Kevin Lynch, SouthBMore.com Both Federal Hill and Locust Point are Neighborhood Lights partners for the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts’ (BOPA) Light City 2018. In Federal Hill, businesses will be displaying artwork created by local kids. Federal Hill Main Street (FHMS), artists from Future Makers, and BOPA have been collaborating on workshops in neighborhood classrooms and community centers where kids create artwork to be displayed in local Federal Hill businesses. The pieces of artwork are life-size photographic portraits of Federal Hill community members. The pieces will be mounted in framed boxes that are designed and built for storefront windows.
