Each episode is a pleasantly deranged ramble through the mysteries and pleasures of life, pop culture, current events, weirdness, technology, New York City, food, beverages, cartoons, conspiracy theories, childhood memories, New Jersey, coffee, the occult, Walt Disney World, vegetarianism, Star Wars, pinball, popcorn, Japan, mass transit, candy, video games, time travel, The Beatles, virtual reality, cigars, television, whiskey, and everything in-between. In 2009, Frank welcomed in a diverse group of new hosts, to create The Overnightscape Underground (“Onsug” for short) – a podcast network starring dozens of hosts from all over the U.S. and the world, each with their own unique style. There are new Onsug shows just about every day. Currently (May 2015) there are 6,455 tracks, totaling over 8.8 months of audio. Onsug Guide provides you a list of every show in the archive, which are all free and available to listen to at: onsug.com/guide With so much amazing stuff to choose from, Onsug can be a little overwhelming at first. But rest assured, as you become more familiar with the various hosts and shows, you’ll find it much easier to navigate and find shows that will be keeping you company for many years to come. Onsug Guide 1 The Hosts Frank Edward Nora from New Jersey started it all with The Overnightscape in March 2003. In 2007, he started The Overnightscape Underground as a side project, and by 2009 it became a podcast network. The Rampler arrived in 2008 as another side project, and in 2009 it was briefly on the radio airwaves of WFMU. In the Fall of 2009, Frank ran into some chaos, ending his existing shows and starting The Frank Nora Show. But by 2011, The Overnightscape was back and it’s been going strong ever since. PQ Ribber from Truth or Consequences , New Mexico joined Onsug in June 2010 with Conspiracy of the Insignificant. He’s done numerous different shows, producing more content on Onsug than anyone besides Frank. Since 2013 he’s been doing Quaquaversal Satellite. In late 2010, he began Overnightscape Central, where all the Onsug hosts are invited to record on a particular topic each week. Eddie Murray from Ireland was the first host to join Onsug in May 2009 with Trampler Sampler. He continued the series as Trampler starting in October 2010, and changed the name to Cloud Base 44 in December 2011. The Meanderer was the second host to join Onsug, in September 2009. He’s been doing shows on and off ever since, and is known for his unique longform rampling style. Bob LeMent from Illinois began Morning Commute (with Bob) in September 2009, and he’s been recording weekly on his drive into St. Louis ever since. Bob also hosts a show that’s not on Onsug, Static Radio, which has been going since 1999. Brian Jude from New Jersey joined Onsug in September 2009 with The Brian Jude Show, which continued till December 2011. In 2012, Brian did two shows, Manifesting Mastermind and Success Odyssey. 2 Onsug Guide Jim & Lillian Fidler from Newfoundland, Canada, joined Onsug in December 2009 with Republic of Avalon Radio. They’ve shared a number of episodes of the show on Onsug over the years. Wayne Reichert from Long Island, NY, joined Onsug in February 2010, with a reboot of his show Sparetime Radio. He had a great run of shows, and was a big presence on Onsug for several years. Chad Bowers, originally from Mobile Alabama, and now Texas, came on board in April 2010 with a distinctive surreal style on Chadcast. He’s also a stalwart contributor to Overnightscape Central and various experimental audio pieces. Manny the Mailman from New Jersey launched Special Delivery on Onsug in April 2010, and continued it regularly into 2011. He’s also joined Frank and Roel from the Netherlands on many adventures in and around NYC. Mark from England / Hootie1233 from Newcastle, England, began Across the Pond in June 2010, with his perspectives on pop culture, politics, celebrity and everything in-between. Greg & Rob from New Jersey started The Paunch Stevenson Show, “The Ultimate Pop Culture Podcast”, way back in October 2005. Frank added their complete archive to Onsug in January 2013, and posts all their new episodes as well. Rob has known Frank since 2000, when they were both part of the band Fuzzy Daupner. Mike Boody from Birmingham, Alabama, joined Onsug with the 18th episode of his show The Midnight Citizen in February 2011. Originally recorded in the middle of the night on his paper route, Mike’s thoughts and observations hearken back to the classic age of late-night radio. Carrie Michel, originally from Texas, now in Colorado, brought The Carrie Michel Show to Onsug in November 2011, talking about her journeys in life, playing music and Old Time Radio shows, and much more. Onsug Guide 3 Shambles Constant is one of the most prolific hosts on Onsug, producing a number of different shows, sometimes taking long breaks between waves of content. He came on board in December 2011 with Anybody’s Guess, which he renamed The Shambleshow the following month. Since 2013, his main show has been Eclectic Symmetry. Jimbo from Georgia joined Onsug in 2013 as a contributor to PQ’s shows Pop Culture qd and Quaquaversal Satellite. In 2014, he produced Saved from Oblivion. In 2015, he began The Frank Nora Time Machine – going back to the beginning of The Overnightscape and playing clips from each show. Jimbo is also the world’s foremost authority on the old time radio show Vic and Sade. Marc Rose from Portland, Oregon, came on board in February 2015 with Fuse Box, bringing a new level of audio production and weirdness to Onsug. Sarjé from Minnesota did The Saint Paul Skyline for a few months in 2010. Rich from North Carolina did I’m Just Sayin’
