Fifteen genera and 37 species are listed for the first time in the Moroccan fauna, among which 9 have been newly identified, 24 have been found in the bibliography and 4 deposited in natural history museums. An updated list of Moroccan species is given, including their distribution by regions, their general distribution and their hosts. Country level data (i.e. occurrence in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the Isle of Man) is reported where known. New information A total of 1754 British and Irish Chalcidoidea species represents a 22% increase on the number of British species known in 1978. The painted lady butterfly (Vanessa cardui) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae: Nymphalinae) is well known for its seasonal long-distance migrations and for its dramatic population fluctuations between years. Although parasitism has occasionally been noted as an important mortality factor for this butterfly, no comprehensive study has quantified and compared its parasitoid com- plexes in different geographical areas or seasons. In 2009, a year when this butterfly was extraordinarily abundant in the western Palaearctic, we assessed the spatial and temporal variation in larval parasitism in central Morocco (late winter and autumn) and north-east Spain (spring and late summer). The primary parasitoids in the complexes comprised a few relatively specialized koinobi- onts that are a regular and important mortality factor in the host populations. -

Alle erfaßten Titel wurden durch Auswertung der Bestände der entomologischen Biblio thek der Abteilung Taxonomie der Insekten ermittelt. Sie werden, nach Ordnungen zu sammengefaßt, in alphabetischer Reihenfolge aufgeführt. Durch eine kurze Annotation erfolgt ein Hinweis auf den Umfang der in den jeweiligen Bestimmungstabellen erfaßten Taxa. Für die einzelnen Ordnungen (mit Ausnahme derer, für die nur wenige Zitate vor liegen) wurde ein Sachregister zusammengestellt, in dem in alphabetischer Anordnung alle Taxa aufgeführt sind, die in den Bestimmungstahelien aufgeschlüsselt werden. The species diversity of these beneficial insects in Iran is summarized in this paper. In total, 227 species from 114 genera and 16 subfamilies, Asaphinae (2 genera, 3 species), Cerocephalinae (2 genera, 4 species), Cleonyminae (7 genera, 8 species), Colotrechninae (1 genus, 1 species), Cratominae (1 genus, 1 species), Diparinae (1 genus, 1 species), Eunotinae (5 genera, 8 species), Macromesinae (1 genus, 1 species), Miscogasterinae (5 genera, 14 species), Ormocerinae (2 genera, 6 species), Panstenoninae (1 genus, 1 species), Pireninae (2 genus, 2 species), Pteromalinae (79 genera, 165 species), Spalangiinae (1 genus, 8 species), Sycophaginae (2 genera, 2 species), and Sycoryctinae (2 genera, 2 species) are listed in the fauna of Iran.
