Care About Childcare - Weber State University 1351 Edvalson St. Dept. 1309, Ogden, UT 84408-1309 http://programs.weber.edu/cac 801-626-7837 Summer Activity Guide 2019 Summertime can present difficulties to working families of school age children who must make different arrangements for child care needs and children’s activities. This guide was designed to help with those needs. Care About Childcare - Weber State does not guarantee quality programs. We do not recommend one over another and we accept no responsibility or liability for them. We feel it best for families to choose and monitor the site that best fits the needs of their child. Programs in this guide are subject to change. Cost is not provided in the list because it may vary depending on age and hours enrolled. Please contact the program for further information on cost, hours of operation and enrollment. Programs are arranged by county in zip code and alphabetical order. This is not a comprehensive list. Some programs may not be included, although we have done our best to include as many programs in the area as possible. All state regulated centers in our service delivery area were invited to participate in this list if they have a summer program. If you have any questions or have suggestions of any programs you feel should be added to this guide, please contact us. Care About Childcare - Weber State is a program of Weber State University’s Child and Family Studies Department. Funding is made possible by a grant from the Child Care Development Fund Utah Department of Workforce Services – Utah Office of Child Care. Last updated April 8, 2019 PARENT’S GUIDE TO CHOOSING QUALITY SUMMER CARE Some programs are not required to be licensed through the State of Utah. These include many summer programs, preschools, and child care centers operating under the arm of a church. The state of Utah does not visit these programs to enforce basic health and safety regulations or have the authority to act on complaints made against legally licensed-exempt facilities. Below are some checklists to use as a guide for evaluating any program that you are considering for your child.
