Today there seems to be a new trend of extreme left wing skins, redskins, communist,socialist,anarchist, who seem to be being used by politics yet again, most however grow up and realize extremist politics are a no win game.

    Website Preface As a lot of people reading this will already know, the first book published by S.T. Publishing was Spirit Of ‘69 - A Skinhead Bible back in 1991. Originally, a mainstream publisher in London, UK, was going to release it, but after a few months of pissing me about, I decided to do it myself. At the time, I knew sweet Fanny Adams about the publishing game, but it’s amazing what you can achieve when a lorry turns up at your front door with a mountain of books and you know every last penny you have (and then some) is riding on the fact that you can shift them. I wrote Spirit Of ‘69 - A Skinhead Bible not because I think I’m some sort of expert on skinheads, but because I passionately believed that the history of the cult, warts and all, had to be written from the inside. Before Spirit Of ‘69, there had only ever been one skinhead book that sought to act as a guide to the skinhead cult – Nick Knight’s Skinhead (Omnibus Press). First published in 1982, it was largely meant as a vehicle for photographer Nick Knight’s skinhead portraits, but was padded out with a few pages on skinhead origins, music, dress, behaviour and the like. What really makes it worth having though is the section on fashion by Jim Ferguson, something that to this day is held in very high regard by skinheads all over the world, and particularly by those who choose to dress in the original skinhead style.

Kesimpulan Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat diambil kesimpulan pada proses pemaknaan kelompok terhadap brand yang menjadi identitas kelompok skinhead di Yogyakarta. Skinhead telah ada pada tahun 1960-an di Inggris. Skinhead adalah kultur anak muda yang menjadikan skinhead adalah “Way of Life” dan juga merupakan kultur dari kelas pekerja yang mempunyai ciri fisik berkepala gundul, dan memiliki cara berpakaian yang unik, seperti menggunakan kaus berkerah, kemeja, celana jeans, jaket jeans, jaket harrington, dan sepatu boots. Ciri fisik dan cara berpakaian yang digunakan sudah menjadi identitas mereka untuk menunjukkan bahwa mereka adalah skinhead, dan juga untuk membedakan dengan kelompok lainnya, seperti kelompok hippies, punk, rockers. Setiap kelompok tersebut mempunyai ciri fisik dan cara berpakaiannya masing-masing untuk menunjukkan identitasnya. Pakaian yang digunakan skinhead tidak terlepas dari brand-brand yang dikonsumsinya, seperti Fred Perry, Ben Sherman, Levi’s,dan Dr. Martens. Proses pemaknaan pada brand-brand tersebut sebagai brand yang menjadi identitas skinhead melalui beberapa tahap. Tahap pertama adalah melihat. Melihat merupakan tahap awal yang dilakukan oleh ketiga narasumber sebelum memahami lebih dalam apa itu skinhead. Anggota 96 Skinhead di Yogyakarta pada awalnya melihat seseorang yang memiliki ciri skinhead melalui alat indranya. Ada yang pada awalnya melihat saudara kandungnya yang telah menjadi skinhead. Ada pula yang melihat sekelompok orang berbadan besar berkepala botak dan berpenampilan menarik di jalanan, dan juga melihat teman-temannya saat berkumpul bersama. Tahap berikutnya dapat disimpulkan setelah melihat kemudian memaknai orang-orang tersebut adalah skinhead dengan memperhatikan detail-detail pada setiap ciri fisik dan cara berpakaian yang digunakan. Setelah itu kemudian merasa terpengaruh oleh kelompok skinhead dan memperkuat pengetahuannya mengenai skinhead melalui sumber dan referensi yang ada.

Pullum Index More information 1779 Index The index is divided into two parts, lexical and conceptual; in addition, there are two specialised indexes given in the main text of the book, one covering the classification of catenative verbs (Ch. 14,pp.1239–40), one the inflection of verbs with simple bases (Ch. 18,pp.1608–9). In the lexical index we have in general cited lexemes (but in ordinary italics) rather than the separate inflectional forms, unless there are syntactic reasons for mentioning the latter. Thus there are no entries for took or children, which are covered under take and child respectively, in references to Ch. 18 (pp. 1567–1619). However, participial adjectives (such as distressing or worried) are listed. The number of lexical items mentioned in Ch. 19 is too large to permit them all to be included. For derivatives quoted in §5 of this chapter we have largely confined ourselves to listing the affixes; words ending in ·able, for example, will be found in the references for that heading. Similarly we have listed combining forms rather than the neo-classical compounds containing them. Other compounds cited only in the numbered displays in §4 (pp. 1644–66) are likewise not included in the index. Idioms and comparable expressions, such as cross swords with and at the behest of, are located in the alphabetical listing on the basis of the head word (cross, at). As will be clear from the discussion in the text, the listing of expressions of this kind does not imply that they form syntactic constituents.
