The highest bidder shall be the purchaser. If any dispute shall arise between two or more bidders, the Lot in dispute to be put up again at the sum last bid, or the Auctioneers may declare the purchaser. 2. The biddings to be ruled by the Auctioneers and shall not be less than £1. 3. No person shall retract a bid without permission of the Auctioneers, who themselves reserve the right of refusing a bid, also the right of withdrawing any Lot or Lots from the sale. 4. The purchasers to declare their name and addresses and if required to pay to the Auctioneers or their clerks the amount of the purchase money immediately on the fall of the hammer and in default of which the Lot or Lots shall be offered for sale again and re-sold. Under no circumstances must any Lot be removed without first obtaining a pass from the Clerk. Persons who are not known to the Auctioneers and intend making purchases must bring a Banker’s reference or other approved security for their satisfaction. 5. The Auctioneers reserve the right of deviating from the catalogue either by amalgamation, dividing or withdrawing the Lots, prior to or during the sale as circumstances may require, and also deviating from the order of sale. 6. The Lots to be under the immediate care of the Purchasers who must remove same at their own risk, on the day of the sale, and no purchase shall be allowed to be removed from the premises during the time of sale nor until the whole of the purchase money is paid. 7. The vendor guarantees sheep to be sound in mouth, udder and feet on day of sale. In the case of any complaint, the buyers must notify the Auctioneers within 24 hours of the closure of sale in regards of footrot, orf and sore mouth, and within 7 days of the sale in regard to teeth and udder. The decision of the Auctioneers shall be final. A vendor having allowed a weather lamb to pass through the sale and sold as a ewe lamb will not be paid for that lamb, and the buyer will be refunded the amount paid by him for the “ewe lamb”, the vendor losing all claims provided the Auctioneers are informed within four weeks. 8. No ewe shall have run with the ram prior to the sale and the vendor shall be held in default for any costs incurred by the buyer including professional veterinary fees. Furthermore, the vendor must pay 40% of the value of the sheep sold as compensation to the buyer provided that the buyer give notice to the Auctioneers within 20 weeks of the date of the sale that the ewes have lambed full term lambs. VENDORS 1. Gates will open 6:30am. Please arrive early as all sheep should be unloaded and penned and sorted by 9:30am due to EID scanning requirements. Once Sheep have been sorted- please DO NOT move them. 2. The entrance to the mart is as signposted and before unloading the Movement permit should be handed to a member of staff on duty. Pens have been allocated for all lots. You should then proceed to the wash bay to have your vehicle washed and disinfected- before parking. 3. Please ensure Neck ties are used as provided on the pen and attach to one sheep from each lot. ORDER OF SALE Vendors will sell on strict rotation and divided into four quarters i.e. if you were entered in Quarter One in 2017, you will be entered in Quarter Two in the 2018 sale, so forth. A draw will be made in each quarter to determine the order of sale. New Breeding Ewe Vendors are placed at the rear of the section with two new vendors picked at random to commence the sale. All new Ewe Lambs Vendors will be placed at the rear of the sale which in the 2020, catalogue will be placed in Quarter One.
