My favorite part of the book would have to be when Yoh who is not as strong as Ren finally Breaks his oversoul and a glimmer of hope comes for the first time for our hero of the tale. In developing the lore for this manga, Hiroyuki Takei has now begun to incorporate more elements of questionable quality. Additionally, it seems Shaman King: v. 7: Clash at Mata Cemetery development of Oversouls steadily approaches the memetic "punch ghosts" of melee-oriented Stands from JoJo. It's not absurd to think the characters will gain the ability to summon their ghosts in physical facsimiles of their former bodies, basically being the same shit as e. Star Platinum from JoJo. Only one winner of this match can join further in the Shaman King competition and at the beginning, Yoh's chances are low. Gradually, Ren's mana decreases and Yoh s mana remains stable because of his usual calm. The fight doesn't end in this volume. I didn't notice any important difference from the anime. I like how Yoh is insisting on his own path through this volume rather than simply doing what is expected. It fits him as a character and as the story makes clear, that's the whole point.
