They understood, however, that a decision could not be made today because of the deterioration in the building’s condition and a shortfall in capital funding. The deputation sought reassurance from the Council that: all parties supported the establishment of a dedicated Gaelic primary school in Edinburgh; the current problems with the Bonnington building were only a temporary setback for the provision of a dedicated Gaelic primary school; and the Gaelic or English stream intakes at Tollcross Primary School would not be affected.

The study examines the potential for recovery of heat from four sites used for large scale fossil fuel power generation: • Longannet; • Cockenzie; • Hunterston; and • Peterhead. This study then examines the policies that could help make heat recovery a financially viable option. Heat Supply and Demand The study considers how four new power stations at each of these sites could provide heat to anchor heat loads within an initial catchment area of 30 km around each site.

Dunoon is very proud indeed to be hosting this First Royal National Mod of the 21 st Century and trusts that it will be a truly memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone. We are the last of the Local Committees charged with the task of total fundraising and at a target of £160,000, the highest ever. This target was not obtained without a great deal of support from many sources and we are extremely grateful to everyone who has contributed to our fundraising. I would like to acknowledge the dedication, enthusiasm and sheer hard work over the last three years put in by all the members of the Local Committee. I would like to thank all those who staffed our Mod Shop, everyone in the Community who contributed to it and of course all our customers. Together you made it a resounding financial success. I would also like to thank everyone in the Community who has supported us in many ways in the run up to the Mod and in particular our 'Friends of the Mod' Members. I would express a very sincere thanks to all our helpers during the Mod week. Success is always built round an army of willing volunteers and you are all most appreciated.
