SOBRE EL PROYECTO “VINCULACIÓN DE LAS UNIVERSI- DADES CON LOS SECTORES PRODUCTIVOS. CASOS EN IBEROAMÉRICA.” Es presente libro es resultado de un proyecto conjunto realizado entre la Fun- dación para el Análisis Estratégico y el Desarrollo de la Pequeña y Mediana Em- presa (FAEDPYME) y la Red Universidad-Empresa América Latina y El Caribe-Unión Europea (Red Universidad-Empresa ALCUE). Esto con el respaldo de la Asociación Universitaria Iberoamericana de Postgrado (AUIP) y la Unión de Universidades de América Latina y El Caribe (UDUAL). Este proyecto nació del interés común que la FAEDPYME y la Red Universidad-Empre- sa ALCUE tienen acerca de mostrar la actividad que llevan a cabo las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) de la región para promover el desarrollo de las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (PYMES) en Iberoamérica. Este proyecto consistió en que di- versas IES de Iberoamérica documentaran casos concretos de experiencias llevadas a cabo por ellas en esta temática, identificando buenas prácticas y dificultades en esas actividades. Todo ello ha dado como resultado los dos libros con un total de 51 casos.
