‘THE WISHING WELL’ CAST BIOS JORDAN LADD (Cynthia) - An angel in her own right, actress Jordan Ladd, daughter of “Charlie’s Angels” star Cheryl Ladd, most recently added a Quentin Tarantino project to her already impressive resume, starring in “Death Proof,” half of Tarantino’s “Grindhouse” double feature with Robert Rodriguez. She then reunited with “Cabin Fever” writer/director Eli Roth in Lionsgate’s anticipated sequel to “Hostel” as Jay Hernandez’s girlfriend. Ladd previously co- starred in the comedy film “Waiting,” opposite Ryan Reynolds, Anna Faris and Luis Guzman, and with the Broken Lizard Comedy Troupe (“Super Troopers”) and Bill Paxton in Fox Searchlight’s island resort comedy caper, “Club Dread.” Additional film credits include a role as a snotty high school student who torments the likes of Drew Barrymore and Leelee Sobieski in FOX’s romantic comedy “Never Been Kissed.” She also had a star turn in the dysfunctional superhero saga, “The Specials,” alongside Rob Lowe and Jamie Kennedy. Next on the horizon is the thriller “Grace,” which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Though her acting debut came at age two, opposite James Garner in a Polaroid commercial, her career got a jumpstart once she returned to Los Angeles after studying for a year at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Since then, she has appeared with Mimi Rogers and Gabriel Byrne in the acclaimed HBO feature “Weapons of Mass Destruction,” as well as in the Gregg Araki-helmed “Nowhere.” Ladd has also voiced several characters for Cartoon Network’s series, “Robot Chicken.” In addition, Ladd has starred in E! Entertainment Television’s first original production, “Best Actress.” She also starred in the Lifetime TV movie “The Deadly Look of Love,” opposite Vincent Spano, and in the independent feature “The Perfect You,” as the virginal girlfriend to Chris Eigeman. Additional credits include the thrillers “Puzzled” and “Madhouse” for Lionsgate, as well as a guest starring role on Alan Ball’s HBO series “Six Feet Under.” ### JASON LONDON (Mark) – Jason London was born in San Diego, California and raised in Oklahoma and Texas. He made his acting debut in Robert Mulligan's “The Man in the Moon.” In 1993, London appeared in three films, most notably in the cult favorite “Dazed and Confused,” in which London played quarterback Randy ‘Pink’ Floyd. Other notable roles include his funny but touching turn as a small-town youth who naïvely falls in love with a drag queen (John Leguizamo) in “Too Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.” London went on to star in such films as “Broken Vessels,” “Poor White Trash,” “$pent” and (more) HALLMARK CHANNEL/ ‘THE WISHING WELL’ – Cast Bios – Page 2 “Out Cold.” He also played Luke in Patrick Lussier’s “Dracula II: Acension” and “Dracula III: Legacy.” He has recently starred in “Sutures” from director Tammi Sutton, and co-starred in the film “Killer Movie,” with Kaley Cuoco and Paul Wesley. London currently resides in Los Angeles. ### ERNEST BORGNINE (Big Jim) – The marvelous thing about any portrait Ernest Borgnine draws on the screen is that it is always believable. His credibility is unmatched perhaps because he is such a sincere person in reality. How could you doubt that face, that gravelly voice? He’s real, no matter what theatrical make-believe he’s involved in. Borgnine’s parents emigrated from Italy to Hamden, Connecticut, where he was born on January 24, 1917. His mother took him back to Italy when he was two, but several years later they returned to Connecticut, this time New Haven, where he completed his education through high school. From high school he went into the Navy, starting out at the bottom and coming out 10 years later as a Gunner’s Mate 1st Class. Once he had his land legs back, Borgnine enrolled in the Randall School of Dramatic Arts in Hartford. From there, he broke into the professional ranks at the famous Barter Theatre in Virginia, where he painted scenery and drove a truck in addition to acting. When Borgnine made his Broadway debut as the hospital attendant in Harvey, his career was officially underway. He made a motion picture with the famed Louis de Rouchemont, “Whistle at Eaton Falls,” and then, still in New York, he did more than 200 live television performances including such masterworks as “G. E. Theatre” and “Philco Playhouse.” In the film “From Here to Eternity,” Borgnine played the brutal stockade Sergeant, Fatso Judson and went on to become famous around the world for his Oscar®-winning portrayal of the Bronx butcher in “Marty.” Since then, he has done dozens of films for features and television. His favorites include “The Catered Affair” with Bette Davis and the classic “Bad Day at Black Rock.” In the 1960s, “McHale’s Navy” set a standard for broad comedy and ensemble work. Later, as Dominic Santini on “Airwolf” for three seasons, Borgnine brought a reality to his role that few actors could equal. In the 90s, he added his own brand of humor as the doorman in “The Single Guy.” His staggering number of film roles, now close to 200, has made Borgnine something of an icon in the motion picture community. Titles like “The Vikings,” “Torpedo Run,” “Ice Station Zebra,” “Wild Bunch,” “Flight of the Phoenix,” “The Dirty Dozen” and “The Poseidon Adventure” give only a sample of the dozens of films he has starred in. (more) HALLMARK CHANNEL/ ‘THE WISHING WELL’ – Cast Bios – Page 3 In the animation field, Borgnine can be heard on the Nickelodeon hit, “Spongebob Squarepants.” And for 25 years, he went to Milwaukee for his annual appearance as a clown in the biggest circus parade in the world. Borgnine launched his eighties by portraying the legendary J. Edgar Hoover in a one-man feature motion picture, “Hoover.” He followed that with appearances on “JAG,” “Early Edition,” “Walker, Texas Ranger,” “Touched By An Angel,” “7th Heaven,” “Family Law” and “The District.” In 2002 he celebrated his continuing good health by mounting a horse to ride in the Western feature, “Long Ride Home.” In 2004, at 87 years young, Borgnine guest-starred in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie, “Trail to Hope Rose,” in which he drove a team of horses. For that role, he received the Wrangler Award from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. In 2005 he was featured in an Adam Sandler picture, “Strange Wilderness.” Turning 90, he starred in another Hallmark Channel Original Movie, “Grandpa for Christmas,” for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe. After that, he was in another western for the ION Channel called “Aces ‘N Eights.” His autobiography, Ernie, hit the shelves in the summer of 2008. Looking forward, Borgnine next stars opposite Doris Roberts in “Another Harvest Moon,” in “The Genesis Code” and lends his voice to the animated film, “The Lion of Judah.” Borgnine has received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from three separate institutions. He has also been recognized for his support of the Navy Memorial Fund with the Lone Sailor Award from the Memorial Foundation, and he is an Honorary Chief Petty Officer with the Navy Chiefs. He was elected Veteran of the Year 2000 by the Veteran’s Foundation, and was honored in May 2001 for a lifetime of artistic achievement by the National Film Theater of Great Britain. In 2002, he received a lifetime achievement award from his mother’s birthplace, Carpi, Italy. As he celebrated his 90th birthday, he was honored with the California Commendation Medal for his support of the military by the Commanding Officer of the California National Guard. In honor of his Italian parentage, he received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He maintains contacts with old shipmates from his destroyer days. Some 20 years ago, he acquired another Naval title: Honorary Flight Leader for the Navy’s Flight Demonstration Team, the Blue Angels. Borgnine has flown with the Blues, and whenever they’re in the Los Angeles area, he fetes the current pilots and sometimes an alumni pilot or two at an intimate dinner. Borgnine has graying hair, unforgettable blue-green eyes, and weighs a mite over two hundred, which at six feet tall, is well distributed. In spite of his busy schedule, he makes time to go fishing in Alaska, stay active in several charities and is very proud to have been honored with the 33rd Degree of the Masonic Order of the Grand Cross. Borgnine lives in Beverly Hills with his beautiful wife, Tova, the record-breaking television personality selling Tova cosmetics. ### (more) HALLMARK CHANNEL/ ‘THE WISHING WELL’ – Cast Bios – Page 4 SALLY KELLERMAN (Donette) – Sally Kellerman has amassed an impressive résumé of memorable television, feature film and theater credits that total in the hundreds and continues to grow each year. Kellerman starred as the infamous Hot Lips Houlihan in Robert Altman’s “M*A*S*H,” one of the most popular feature films of all time, for which she was nominated for both an Academy Award® and Golden Globe Award. She made us laugh in “Back To School” opposite Rodney Dangerfield, and she has made us cry in “Big Blond.” She has made nearly all women in the world proud with “Boynton Beach Bereavement Club,” and has even made us hungry as the voice behind the Hidden Valley Salad Dressing commercials and a Milkyway spot. Besides her family and film career, the main source of her passion is her love of music and singing. Under contract with Verve Records at the age of 18, Kellerman has been blessed with a signature voice and an uncanny ability to make a song her own.
