Of t h ~ skull I am unable to g iv e any details as it was cal'l'ieLl off by so me animal while drying: it probably possessed no characters that wou ld differentiate it from neighbouring races. Remarks. A nim::t ls from S,onth Tenasserim and Bandqn, Penin- sular Siam , connect thi~ race with 1·olntsta l\liller, from Trang "'; they are not so cl ull as vagans but less fu h·ous and buffy than the other, and t.he nape stripE' is faintly indicated: th<>y do not appear distinct enough, howeve t·, to just, ify the bestowal of a name. 2. Rattus griseiventer rabengis, subsp. uoY. 'J 'ypes. Male vix ad. and female a·!. from Me Taw, 4.0 miles ,N. W. of Haheng, W.
