ATR VERDICT: A high-quality turnout and a chance for GET ME OUT OF HERE to finally land a decent pot after a series of excellent efforts in defeat this term. He's well treated by the race conditions and a repeat of his last three runs, beaten by Oscar Whisky, and Son of Flicka (at the ) should suffice with trip and ground ideal. The 7lb he receives from the talented Oscars Well, not disgraced when sixth in the , can prove decisive. Jessie Harrington's charge nevertheless rates the prime threat having performed with great credit at the top level this term. The Real Article is next best.

Long Handicap: Bobby John 9 - 6 ATR VERDICT: Endless chances in an impenetrable handicap but Robert Tyner has two good shouts with ONE IN A MILAN and Its The Ice I Like, with the former preferred off a decent mark. The gelding, gradually progressive this term, has only gone down narrowly in competitive handicaps the last twice. He should give a solid account with his stablemate, also progressive, likely to go well too on his handicap bow after scoring with authority at Gowran Park. Dedigout looks a potential improver for Tony Martin with juvenile Bat Masterson not discounted on his first run in open handicap company.

ATR VERDICT: It takes a leap of faith to row in with STEPS TO FREEDOM after his disappointing effort in one of the hottest Supreme Novices' Hurdles for many years but that surely cannot have been his true form. The Statue Of Liberty gelding looked a serious prospect previously and is still held in high regard by his astute connections. He's forgiven that effort behind Cinders And Ashes and merits another chance. Alderwood showed great battling qualities to land the County Hurdle at the Festival and must go well on that evidence, with Midnight Game, another down the field when fancied for the Supreme, also respected.

TEELIN STAR has been backed as if defeat was out of the question on both starts to date and has cantered home a distance clear on both occasions. He is clearly a talented performer and can preserve his unbeaten record here. Something was presumably amiss with Torn Asunder when pulled up at Gowran Park last time after the son of Presenting was backed into favouritism. He certainly warrants shortlist inclusion if over that problem, with Balnaslow, Hinesight and Sraid Padraig also respected.

ATR VERDICT: A fiercely competitive renewal in which LASTOFTHELEADERS edges the vote representing last year's winning trainer/jockey combination. The nine-year-old son of Supreme Leader was mightily impressive when landing a 2m1f chase at this track in December and connections have protected his handicap mark with a couple of spins over hurdles since. The big concern is this marathon trip (yet to win beyond 2m1f), but Nina Carberry is a master at getting one switched off early on and reserving energy for a late kick. Allee Garde was well fancied going into the 4m National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham last month when getting no further than the 12th and could mount a bold bid today if his jumping holds up, while Four Commanders collected the bronze medal in that race at the Festival and merits a place on the shortlist. Alfie Sherrin appeared to benefit from the application of cheekpieces when landing the Grade 3 JLT handicap at Cheltenham and warrants respect with that piece of equipment used again. Catch Me, Groody Hill and Cross Appeal add further spice to the race.

He gave the impression that he might just have needed the run in the closing stages and should be cherry ripe here. He's not the easiest to catch right but could go close if on a going day. Friendly Society has turned into a really tough and likeable sort and looks nicely treated to go well again after a recent Limerick success. Action Master and Lucky William are other contenders of interest.

Long Handicap: Yeoman 9 - 8 ATR VERDICT: Things don't get much easier with another fiercely competitive handicap chase. BAREL OF LAUGHS is the most tentative of selections but he's clearly been waiting for better ground and could well be open to notable improvement after just three runs over fences. He's looked promising in all of those starts and will be well suited by the slight drop in trip. Talab is a steady improver and looks dangerous off this lowly perch whilst Pontiac was right back to form when making all at Gowran Park last time. Paddy The Oscar also commands plenty of respect.

ATR VERDICT: PEACE IN THE WEST created a good impression when pulling clear to score on his Down Royal debut last month and the son of Westerner is a value option to follow up here, especially with many of his leading rivals arriving after an absence. Morning Royalty, Don Cossack, Sword Of Honour and Bouillabaisse all fall into that category, with the latter pair having looked particularly promising when scoring last time. They are seen as the main threats if ready to roll and the market should prove instructive in that respect. Elsie has place claims after a solid debut, too.
