Early on, X-it enjoyed tremendous success in the local and regional music scene playing an average of 3-4 shows per month. Venues included county fairs, street dances, bars and large festivals. The band broke up in 2002 and pursued other successful area band projects. In 2007, some of the original members of X-it decided to reunite. After the reunion, the fire was once again lit. The band was put back together and renamed 2nd X-it (second time around). As the years went on, the band has seen a few changes, but one thing will always remain constant, 2nd X-it’s commitment to deliver high quality classic hard rock songs with precision and talent. Every member of 2nd X-it is dedicated to performing at a very high professional level. 2nd X-it is passionate about delivering the respect to each artist they cover at every show. With decades of professional on- stage experience, 2nd X-it brings you the best in classic hard and heavy rock and roll. Exceptional musicianship, professional sound and lights, the ability to travel wherever, whenever, and the dedication to deliver the best hard rock cover songs that no other bands will attempt to try! We strongly recommend attending a live performance and feeling the rock! 2nd X-it averages around 25 performances annually. Meet the Band Larry Weese - Lead Vocals Larry hit the music scene in 1988 forming a band called “Faces” with some high school friends. “Larry and the Losers” was formed in the mid 90’s and worked the local bar scene. “Oilpan” was formed in the early 2000's. "Oilpan" performed on a limited basis in the Chippewa/Eau Claire, WI area for the next 10 years. Oilpan’s last show was at the Eagles Club in 2011. In 2017 the opportunity to front the great 2nd X-It Band presented itself with the retirement of Bim Semingson. Larry started working with 2nd X-It in April of 2017. Larry has been in area bands for over 25 years as a lead vocalist and rhythm guitar player performing all over the area from bars to festivals. Dave Dean - Lead / Rhythm Guitars Dave's guitar interest started on acoustic guitar at very young age when he started taking classical lessons. Dave has played in a diverse variety of bands in his career. Dave was hired to be the guitar player in a ten-piece funk band and also played in a Led Zeppelin tribute band. 2nd X-it contacted Dave in 2007 as they were looking to add an additional guitar player. Dave has been with 2nd X-it ever since. Dave's influences include: Jimmy Page, Greg Howe, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai. Dave's discipline, attention to detail and drive to be the best he can be, makes him one of the best guitar players around! Andy Cox - Lead / Rhythm Guitars Andy got his first guitar at age 13 after seeing a vintage Deep Purple performance. He was immediately inspired by Ritchie Blackmore's incredible guitar playing. When Andy was in high school, he joined his 1st band "Mass Confusion". Andy has played in great area bands including The Big Deeks, Big Backyard, Elements, and E.C. Gunz. Andy joined Qwikfire in 2010 and played several shows with them through the years. In 2012, The opportunity to join 2nd X-It came along, and the rest is history! With Andy's commitment and focus, he is a great asset to the tremendous success of 2nd-Xit. Scott Powers - Bass Guitar At age 17, Scott bought his first bass guitar (we won't mention what year that was....) He played in several basement/garage bands in his early years. Fast forward to the fall of 2011, Scott joined a local band called "Codger McNasty". He later moved on to play bass in a local band called "DyVerse". The opportunity came up for Scott to audition for 2nd X-It in 2013. Scott got the job and has been going strong since. Along with playing bass, Scott is the key contact in 2nd-Xit. Scott does all of the bookings and PR work. Rick Thompson – Drums Rick grew up in a family of musicians. His parents, along with all his siblings were in different bands around the area. At age 12, Rick's first band “The Eldorado’s” was his family's band which he performed in for several years. In 1983, Rick met up with some friends to start "X-It". For several years, Rick has drummed for "X-it", “The Fury”, “Not Responsible” and “Mr. Hanky”. In 2007, Rick decided to get the original "X-it" band back together to be called ”2nd X-It”. Rick's influences include Scott Travis, Neil Peart, Nikko Mcbrain, Mike Portnoy, Tommy Aldridge, Vinnie Appice. This is an example of some of the great bands 2nd X-it cover! 2nd X-it is always adding great rock songs to the list! I thought in light of this that this month's TALKBACK SECTON would take a look back at some other Rockers who checked out way too young. Let's take a trip down memory lane: 12/1/93 - Singer: Ray Gillian dies from Aids related complications. While he never appeared on record with Black Sabbath he was briefly a member of Black Sabbath's touring band when he briefly replaced legendary Singer: Glenn Hughes in the band. Following his gig with Sabbath Gillen briefly worked w/Ex Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake Guitarist: John Sykes in Blue Murder but eventually Gillen left Blue Murder and formed BadLands w/Ex Ozzy Osbourne/Ratt Guitarist: Jake E. Lee. Badlands released two albums before Gillen decided to leave because of friction that developed between Lee and Gillen. After Ray Gillen's death BADLANDS released a 3rd and final album called DUSK which was an album's worth of material of unreleased studio outakes.

  • Electric Guitars (DK) Genre: Hard Rock Label: Target Records Albumtitle: Electric Guitars Duration: 55.28 Min
Band: Electric Guitars (DK) Genre: Hard Rock Label: Target Records Albumtitle: Electric Guitars Duration: 55.28 Min. Releasedate: 26.05.2014 The name of the band already suggests it: The guitars are staying in the foreground! And which kind of genre would be better as the good old Hard Rock? The two guitarists Søren Andersen and Mika Vandborg, who are no beginners have written all the songs on the album on their own, which constitutes their debut. Søren played in Mike Tramp's old company White Lion and was also active in the Glenn Hughes band (vocals and bass by Deep Purple) over the past five years. Furthermore the band was chosen as supporting act for an actual Deep Purple concert in Copenhagen. Beyond that the two guitarists were active in countless Danish bands which shouldn’t be so well known over here. Also solo albums were released where people like Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Marco Mendoza (Twisted Sister), Billy Sheehan (David Lee Roth, Mr. Big, G3) and Tommy Aldridge (Gary Moore, Ozzy Osbourne, MARS, Whitesnake) could be heard. Musically the band lies somewhere in the intersection between Rock'n'Roll and AOR. So the guys are not drifting so far away from their influences. The guys of the band and the producer made it that the sound of the album is sounding live loaded so that the energy of the company is well transported to the listener. Besides that the melodies are in the foreground and also the backing vocals becoming a relevant importance as it is typical for this genre.

Und, was soll man sagen?

  • Oliver Weers – Biography
Oliver Weers – Biography Oliver is a singer/songwriter that has worked in Germany, Norway and Japan resulting in a moderate release in Japan 1996 and another one in Norway in 2001. Early 2008 an album in Denmark and September 2008 an international solo Album was released. Started in Denmark featuring Tommy Aldridge (known from Ozzy Osbourne/Whitesnake) and bassist Marco Mendoza (known from Whitesnake/ThinLizzy). He started singing in bands in 1983 (actually with Peter Maffay's guitarist Peter Keller) and has been part of the action ever since. He's a "front man" that's been playing rock/blues/funk and progressive metal from small clubs to big festivals. .... His voice was trained for 7 years by a Hungarian opera singer in Germany while he was engaged as a hard-rock vocalist doing competitions, recordings and touring through-out Germany and Europe. .... He then found more interest in the Norwegian rock scene and their quality of musicians inspired him very much. It resulted in an excellent piece of work which was released in Japan: Diabolos In Musika - "Natural Needs" Get a sample of the music via following link: www.ronnyheimdal.com. After Japan not resulting in the big break through, the band members started to go in different musical directions. .... Shortly after becoming a father he thought of actually enjoying music on a little more relaxed state and started in a blues band: (www.nobodysbusiness.no) who tour extensively every year.
