Dear Sir or Madam, I refer to our letter of 14th December , 2010 regarding Waste Water Discharge License application for Lemybrien , Co. Waterford. For inspection purposes only. Consent of copyright owner required for any other use. (1) We have assessed the likelihood of significant effects of the waste water discharges from the agglomeration on the relevant European sites by referring to Circular L8/08, issued by Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government and have concluded that there will be no significant effects and it is therefore not necessary according to L8/08 to assess the impacts. The agglomeration is small with a population of 150 pe The closest SAC is the Comeragh Mountains SAC. The Mid Waterford Coast SPA is about seven kilometers away. We are satisfied that the Integrated Constructed Wetlands can treat the effluent to a sufficient standard that it will not cause significant effects to the protected sites. There are no industrial discharges to the system and the discharge is from domestic sewage only. [2] Section C. - You will see from the Non Technical Summary in the submitted application form that the sewage from the agglomeration flows by gravity to three septic tanks and from there flows by gravity to a Constructed Wetlands. The septic tanks allow gross solids to settle out and biodegrade under anaerobic conditions and the liquid fraction after settlement flows to the wetlands F:Groups:Sanitary:Maread:TBourke:Letters10 EPA Export 01-03-2011:20:21:49 The Wetlands discharge by gravity to a Local Stream which is a tributary of the R.Tay. The constructed wetlands provide long residence time and most of the organic load is removed prior to discharge to the Stream. The constructed wetlands and septic tank can accommodate at least 120 pe. The area being served is off the main tourist area and we are not aware of any local festivals. [3] Design capacity of 120pe.. [4] Discharge is to a local stream which is a tributary of the R.Tay. [5] Revised agglomeration map attached herewith. My parents were farmers and I was educated at the local national school - Tooraneena. When the National Volunteers, known as "Redmond' s Volunteers" (so caned after John Redmond, the leader of the Irish Party in the British House of Commons at the time), were started in 1913 in our district, I joined up, In common with many young men here. I remember that our drill instructors were mostly ex-British Army men and our rifle drill was carried out with wooden rifles made locally. In 1915 JEwent to the U.S.A., Joined the American Army and served in an infantry brigade in France until the conclusion of the 1914-18 World War. I returned to America with my regiment in July, 1919, where I was demobbed. In the month of January, 1920, I came back to my native place, Knockboy, Co. Waterford, and on the 1st April, 1920, I joined Beary's Cross Company of the Irish Volunteers. Beary's Cross is about a mile from Knockboy. I remember there were from thirty to thirty-five men in the company and we had as officers Jack Whelan, Company Captain, and James Butler, 1st Lt.

Roads Works Programme 2021 Strengthening and Surface dressing Works programme has commenced. Drainage discretionary works will be included in RWP 2021 which will be provided across all 3 Areas of the District and these works will continue to take place under the Maintenance budgets. B. Road Maintenance Works The District area crews have been continuously filling potholes and repairing roads. Nil File No. S.2424 Form B.S.M.2 STATEMENT OF EDMUND POWER 52 Slievekeale Road, Waterford in the of Clonea I was born in 1896 parish (power) in townland of which is about the killerguile, four miles south in the of carrick-on-suir, and is situated county of Waterford. I was the of a family of youngest thirteen children. My parents belonged to the farming community and my early school-days were spent at Clonea National School. As a young chap I played hurling with the Clonea Club and I can/safely say I always had a strong national outlook. This I attribute mainly to my parents, my father being a very ardent 'Land Leaguer' and my mother a fluent Gaelic speaker, as was many another inhabitant of Clonea at that time. I left s chool at 15 years of age and was apprenticed to the grocery and spirit business of Percy Kirwan, the wellknown athlete, in Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford. In that village I Wasn't long until I had a hurling team going. Although a company of National Volunteers was started in Kilmacthomas, sometime in 1914, I wasn't at all interested in joining up. I had a very poor opinion of these Volunteers if it came to fighting for freedom, and I disapproved strongly of the pro-British influence of John Redmond, the head of the National Volunteers, as he was regarded then.
