INT. OBSERVATORY - DAY Doctor LARRY MOSLEY is standing at a refreshment table at the far wall pouring himself a cup of coffee.

SUPER: CALIFORNIA Three BEEPS come from a computer behind him. Larry drops the cup to the floor and runs over to the monitor. Larry picks up the phone. LARRY Come in here fast. You won’t believe this. Larry hangs the phone up. He continues to stare at the monitor. A SCIENTIST walks up and looks over Larry’s shoulder. The BEEPS increase in frequency. There are readings on the monitor. SCIENTIST What is it? LARRY Contact. All these years we've been sending signals up and finally we were responded to.

INT. APARTMENT BEDROOM - DAY ROCK MUSIC is being played from another room.

SUPER: ARIZONA KOGANE, 28, sits up in the bed. He smiles, shakes his head and gets up. Keith goes into the bathroom. 2.

KITCHEN Keith walks in. The music is turned off but the television is on in the living-room. Keith opens the refrigerator and looks inside. Keith speaks without turning around. KEITH Did you save me anything to eat?

LIVING ROOM HUNK GARETT, 27, belches. HUNK I’m not that greedy.

KITCHEN KEITH Who told you that? Keith pulls out a cartoon of milk and closes the refrigerator. He reaches into the cabinet and pulls down a box of cereal. Keith fixes a bowl of cereal and sits down at the kitchen bar. He begins eating.

LIVING ROOM HUNK What’s the plan today commander?

KITCHEN KEITH Nothing. The telephone RINGS. Keith answers it.

LIVING ROOM Hunk turns around on the sofa and looks at Keith. 3.

KITCHEN Keith hangs up the telephone. Keith stands up and sits the bowl into the sink. Keith begins walking towards the living room. KEITH Let's go Hunk, we have a training run.

LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS Hunk, standing six foot tall and weighing two hundred and twenty-seven pounds of solid muscle, stands up from the sofa. Keith and Hunk walk past a stand. There is a photograph of both of them standing next to F-16 fighter jets.

EXT. APARTMENT - CONTINUOUS Hunk gets into the driver’s side of a jeep. Keith gets in on the passenger side. The jeep pulls out of the parking lot and gets on the road.

INT. JEEP HUNK Wasn't expecting to go up today. KEITH Me either but those are the orders from up top. He didn't give me any other details. Captain will tell us when we get there.

EXT. AIR FORCE BASE - CONTINUOUS

SUPER: LUKE AIR FORCE BASE The jeep pulls up and parks. Keith and Hunk gets out and begin walking towards the building. Hunk shakes hands and gives dap to everyone he passes along the way to the office. 4.

Keith is holding the door open and staring at Hunk as Hunk approaches the entrance. HUNK You know I can't leave my comrades hanging. Keith nods his head as the two go inside.

INT. CAPTAIN’S OFFICE The CAPTAIN’S office door is open when Keith and Hunk arrives. Keith knocks on the door. The captain looks up. CAPTAIN My two favorite fly boys. Keith, Hunk. Keith and Hunk stand there staring. The captain smiles and then nods at the door as his smile widen. Keith and Hunk turn around to see BELL, 27, walk through the door. CAPTAIN (CONT’D) Perfect, he's right on time. Keith, Hunk you know Lance Bell. He will be added to your squadron but today I want to see you three in the air. Suit up gentlemen. KEITH, HUNK, LANCE (simultaneously) Yes sir.

EXT. TARMAC Keith, Hunk and Lance are walking toward the fighter jets in their flight gear. KEITH We're going to keep this short. Anybody have any problems with that? 5.

LANCE What is short Commander? KEITH Twenty minutes and we're touching down. Lance laughs as the three part towards their fighter jets. Keith arrives to his jet and climbs up. The hatch closes above Keith.

INT. JET COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS Keith settles in and turns on the engine.

EXT. TARMAC The F-16 begins taxing down the airstrip. Two other F-16s take off behind it.

INT. JET COCKPIT KEITH We'll begin in Alpha, do a few more flybys and we're going down. Keith turns to his right and sees Hunk. Lance’s F-16 is on Keith’s left.

EXT. SKY All three F-16s zoom over the base in perfect Alpha formation. The three F-16s continue to fly out into the desert.

INT. JET COCKPIT HUNK (V.O.) What's next Keith? LANCE (V.O.) I have something. Lance spins his F-16 out of formation. 6.

Keith looks left to see Lance fly off. KEITH Lance? HUNK (V.O.) I'll follow him. Hunk's jet drops from Keith's right.

EXT. SKY Keith flips his F-16 backwards and begins following the other two. Lance takes them on a winding trek through the desert. He slows down enough a few times to allow Keith and Hunk to catch up. Lance then barrel rolls around them and takes off. Lance lowers his altitude flying feet away from off the ground. He narrowly passes a mountain. Lance flies back to the base with Hunk and Keith flanking him.

EXT. TARMAC Keith runs toward Lance but Hunk blocks him before he could reach him. KEITH What the fuck were you doing? LANCE Having a little fun Commander. Lance smiles. LANCE (CONT’D) I wanted to make sure that if I have to follow someone, he'll be able to fly me out of any situation. Keith stares at Lance. He exhales. LANCE (CONT’D) Don't worry Commander, you did well. 7.

Lance punches Keith in the arm and laughs. Hunk punches Keith as well. He then wraps his arm around Keith's shoulders. HUNK He's right, you did. Hunk begins laughing. Keith laughs too.

INT. PIDGE’S APARTMENT - DAY

SUPER: AUSTRALIA DARRELL “PIDGE” STOKER, 19, Australian and standing five-feet- four inches tall, walks into the living room and grabs a set of car keys from off of a table. Pidge walks towards the front door where he passes a wall with framed certificates and photographs. Inside one of the frames is a certificate from the Royal Australian Air Force. Inscribed across the middle is: “Darrell Stoker.” Pidge walks out of the apartment.

EXT. HIGHWAY Pidge drives through the city of Sydney in New South Wales. Right on the outskirts of town, a government facility comes into view.

EXT. MILITARY FACILITY The solider at the gate recognizes and opens the gate to allow Pidge’s vehicle to pass without stopping him.

INT. LABORATORY Pidge walks in. There are a number of scientists sitting in front of a computer. SCIENTIST #2 turns around and sees Pidge. SCIENTIST #2 General. 8.

Pidge nods his head at scientist #2. SCIENTIST #2 (CONT’D) General, we intercepted this signal yesterday. When it began, the signal was weak, faint but now it's increasing in frequency. Look. Pidge bends down closer to the monitor. He adjusts his glasses. PIDGE This isn’t of earthy origin. SCIENTIST #2 Are you sure? Could it be American? PIDGE I've studied every language known to man from written to binary and this doesn't fit any of them. This is alien but I don't know what it means.

EXT. SPACE The Hubble satellite disappears underneath a deepening shadow. The shadow stops after half of Earth is in darkness. The shadow begins to break apart.

INT. PENTAGON - DAY The SECRETARY OF DEFENSE walks into his office when the telephone RINGS.

SUPER: WASHINGTON, D.C. The Secretary of Defense picks up the telephone. SECRETARY OF DEFENSE Secretary of Defense. 9.

INT. LABORATORY LARRY Mister Secretary, this is Doctor Larry Mosley from the observatory in California. I may have some information of grave importance to you and your staff.

INT. PENTAGON SECRETARY OF DEFENSE And this is what doctor?

INT. LABORATORY LARRY We may be on the verge of being invaded sir. Larry looks down at his free hand. His hand is shaking. LARRY (CONT’D) Sir?

INT. PENTAGON SECRETARY OF DEFENSE Doctor Mosley I've just finished a tiring trip over in the Middle East. I need rest. We fund your program because we believe in your research. We've covered up a lot over the years and we'll continue to do so. So before we hit any panic buttons, do you have any evidence?

INT. LABORATORY LARRY Yes Mister Secretary sir we intercepted their communications but… SCIENTIST Larry, you need to see this. Larry lays the phone lightly on the desk and goes over to the telescope that his assistant was observing. 10.

Larry looks through it, loses his breath, regains it and goes back over to the telephone. LARRY Look up.

INT. PENTAGON The Secretary of Defense turns around and looks up through the window. The Secretary of Defense drops the telephone.

INT. LABORATORY - DAY SCIENTIST #2 What does it mean General? Pidge sits in front of the computer and begins typing quickly. Pidge writes notes down in a steno pad before typing some more. He stops. PIDGE I managed to decipher the signal. I realize that within this alien language is a recognizable binary code that I was able to break. These are coordinates. It looks to me as if they are strategically placing pieces in certain locations for something. SCIENTIST #2 For what? PIDGE Not anything good I bet you that.

EXT. SPACE Earth is surrounded by four discs. Above these smaller discs is the mother ship expanding across half the globe. The smaller ships open their hatches in unison. Simultaneously hundreds of war vessels flood out. 11.

INT. AIR FORCE BASE CAFETERIA - DAY Keith, Hunk and Lance are sitting a table with food trays sitting on the table in front of them. LANCE It has been awhile Hunk. Haven’t seen you since the academy right? You’ve come along way from the Californian football playing beach boy that first entered the academy. HUNK And you Lance? Ohio bred college drop-out. Lance smiles and nods his head. HUNK (CONT’D) You were assigned down at Barksdale in Louisiana right? LANCE You got it. The alarm BLARES. Keith, Hunk and Lance look at one another. They stand up leaving their trays on the table. Keith, Hunk and Lance run out of the cafeteria.

INT. MEETING ROOM Keith, Hunk and Lance walk in with the rest of the squadron. They are all taking seats. The COLONIAL walks through the door. COLONIAL We are in a grave state of emergency. It is believed that we will be under attack by a foe that we can not account for. This is not an attack on America. This is an attack on the world. The globe is faced with a challenge. LANCE And this challenge is what, aliens? Lance laughs. 12.

Laughter is heard throughout the room. The Colonial frowns. COLONIAL For some of you, this could be your final mission. All of you have served your country well and I wish you all luck. May God bless us. The Colonel walks out. Keith gets up and walks after the Colonial.

INT. HALLWAY KEITH How can we plan a strike to an invisible opponent? How can you send us in the air blind? The Colonial turns around and looks at Keith. COLONIAL You are a great commander. One of the best I have ever known. I trust that you will be able to figure that out. The Colonial salutes Keith. Keith salutes him in return. The Colonial spins and walks away. Hunk and Lance walks up behind Keith. HUNK What are we going to do Keith? KEITH It was an order. We have to go up.

EXT. TARMAC Pilots everywhere are loading into their F-16s fighter jets. Keith gets up into his. 13.

INT. JET COCKPIT The hatch closes down over Keith.

EXT. TARMAC Keith’s F-16 is taxing the runaway. At lift-off, a missile appears out of the sky and crashes into the runway. The runway explodes.

EXT. HIGHWAY Pidge is pushing his car to the max. Every few minutes, he looks up towards the sky. A stray missile hits the ground fifty feet away from Pidge, causing him to swerve. Pidge corrects himself and continues to speed along. There is a loud explosion behind Pidge. He swerves out of the way of falling metal.

EXT. BASE WILLIAMTOWN - CONTINUOUS Pidge drives through the open security gate. Military vehicles and bodies are scrambling around. Bullets flying from both the air and ground and bouncing around. Pidge pulls his car up alongside the back of a fighter jet and boards an F/A-18 with the base under intense fire. The hatch closes. The F/A-18 begins taxing down the runway. The F/A-18 lifts off.

EXT. SKY A nearby craft is blown up. The force of the blast and debris knocking Pidge awry. Pidge barrel rows the F/A-18 to correct himself. The F/A-18 rises in altitude. It dodges bullets from both of the flanks. 14.

INT. F/A-18 COCKPIT Pidge fires cannon. He locks onto an enemy craft and presses the switch for a missile.

EXT. SKY An alien fighter craft explodes in front of the F/A-18.

FLASHBACK - PRESIDENT’S SPEECH The PRESIDENT of the United States is on the television screen. PRESIDENT I am the President of the United States but I would like to speak as the ambassador for all nations. We are entering a third World War. We are not fighting among ourselves, this is not about the Axis against the Allies, this is not about terrorism. This is about us, as one nation and our survival. This is a global war. This could mean the very existence of the human race. It is imperative that we put aside our differences so we can defeat these invaders, so we can continue to live. I ask, it is required, that all of the world's military forces combine as one unit for the preservation of the human species.

END OF FLASHBACK

INT. F-16 COCKPIT - DAY (BACK T0 PRESENT) PILOT ? Sven?! Left, look left! SVEN HOLGERSSON, 27, Norwegian looks left. An alien fighter craft is zeroing in on him rapidly.

EXT. SKY The F-16 spins right. It drops in altitude and straightens out. 15.

The F-16 fires its cannon at the alien fighter craft. The alien fighter craft explodes. Debris flutters downward.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT The F-16 rattles around Sven. Sven looks right he sees one of his fellow airmen's jet in a ball of flame. Sven locks into another alien craft and launches a missile.

EXT. SKY The F-16 flies off to the right just as an alien fighter craft explodes. F-16s explode. Alien fighter crafts explode. Smoke is everywhere. An F-16 emerges through the smoke.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT Keith looks right. He looks left. KEITH Hunk, where are you at? HUNK (V.O.) Don't know. Too much activity going on around us. KEITH You have to stay focus. Can you see where I am? HUNK (V.O.) No.

EXT. SKY The F-16 Lance is piloting is being tailed by an alien craft. 16.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT Lance smiles.

EXT. SKY The alien fighter craft shoots at Lance. Lance goes into a pendulum motion and avoids the fire. He ducks behind a mountain. The alien fighter craft disappears.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT LANCE I just out one without wasting ammo. The alarm sounds. Lance looks behind him and sees the same alien fighter. LANCE (CONT’D) Fuck.

EXT. SKY Lance immediately barrel rolls backwards just as the alien fighter shoots a laser. The shot goes out into the sky as the alien fighter turns and continues its pursuit of him. Lance turns south and increases the speed on his F-16. The alien craft increases its speed as well.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT LANCE Keith, Hunk, I have a bogie on my tail. Can anyone of you lend any assistance? KEITH (V.O.) What's your location? 17.

EXT. SKY The F-16 that Lance is piloting performs evasive maneuvers. The alien fighter craft stays close to it.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT KEITH (V.O.) On the count of two, drop hard. Two!

EXT. SKY The thrusters on the F-16 that Lance is piloting shuts off. The F-16 drops altitude.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT Lance looks up above him and sees two other F-16s launch missiles simultaneously at the alien fighter. The alien fighter explodes.

EXT. SKY The engine of the F-16 that Lance is piloting fires up. The F- 16 soars forward.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT LANCE Thanks guys. HUNK (V.O.) No need. We're together on this.

EXT. SKY The F/A-18 Pidge is piloting is being closely pursued by an alien fighter.

INT. F/A-18 COCKPIT Pidge looks down and sees the ocean. Pidge shifts the controls forward. 18.

EXT. SKY The F/A-18 dips closer the ocean. It flies along the ocean’s surface. The alien fighter stays on the F/A-18’s tail. The F/A-18 ascends. The alien fighter chasing the F/A-18 rises unloading a round of gunfire as it ascends. The F/A-18 dips. It accelerates. A second alien fighter joins the pursuit. It fires upon the F/A-18. The F/A-18 is hit. Two alien fighters fire lasers at the F-16s being flown by Lance and Hunk. The F-16s perform an evasive maneuver. The damaged F/A-18 slices through the tails of the F-16s. Both F-16s and the F/A-18 explode.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT Sven looks down and sees the collision of the F/A-18 and the F-16s. Sven pushes the controls forward.

EXT. SKY Flying through laser fire, the F-16 that Sven is piloting descends toward the falling debris.

INT. F-16 COCKPIT Keith looks to his left and sees the fireball from the collision. He squeezes the trigger. A missile launches from the F-16. An alien fighter explodes in front of Keith. KEITH Lance? Hunk? Do you copy? Lance? Hunk? Do you copy? Hunk? 19.

EXT. SKY The F-16 descends.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS Hunk, Lance and Pidge float down toward earth with the parachutes only feet away from each other.

EXT. VALLEY Hunk, Lance and Pidge crash down. Lance and Hunk shrug off their parachutes. A F-16 flies low overhead. Lance begins walking towards Hunk. LANCE Are you okay? HUNK Yeah. Only because I'm talking to you now and not Einstein. Lance and Hunk look over at Pidge. Pidge is taking off his parachute pack. He sees Hunk and Lance looking at him. Pidge begins walking towards Hunk and Lance. PIDGE How are you two doing? Are you two okay? HUNK Yeah, we're fine. You're Australian? Your accent makes you sound Australian. PIDGE Yes I am. I'm Darrell Stoker, General for the Royal Australian Air Force. You can call me Pidge. HUNK I'm Hunk, he's Lance. Corporals for the United States Air Force. Pidge shakes both Hunk’s and Lance’s hand. 20.

A second F-16 flies low overhead. PIDGE I apologize for what happened up there. One of those aliens blew off my wing and I couldn't control it. Hunk puts a hand on Pidge’s shoulder. HUNK Don't worry about it. We made it through it alive. That's the most important thing. LANCE I think those two F-16s landed. Hunk and Pidge follows Lance’s gaze. HUNK Which way? Lance begins walking. Hunk and Pidge follow behind. Jogging, Hunk and Pidge catches up with Lance. Lance, Hunk and Pidge walk side by side over the terrain.

LATER Approaching Lance, Hunk and Pidge from the north of them is Sven and Keith. Lance and Hunk begin to smile when the five men are standing directly in front of one another. LANCE It's nice to see another familiar face. Glad to see that my commander doesn't desert his men. KEITH Are you okay? Lance does a two-step. LANCE Dead men don't dance. KEITH You Hunk? 21.

HUNK I'm hungry. Keith laughs. Hunk eventually laughs too. KEITH Lance, Hunk this is Sven. He is from Norway. Member of the Royal Norwegian Air Force. SVEN I saw the collision. I thought I would come down and see if I can help out. Hunk turns towards Pidge. HUNK This little guy is Pidge. He was part of the collision. LANCE Does anyone know where we are? SVEN Aren't we in the States? KEITH I'm not sure. Keith looks around. KEITH (CONT’D) This terrain doesn't look familiar to me. HUNK Just look like earth to me. LANCE Where should we go Commander? KEITH Let's go south. Hunk, Lance, Keith, Pidge and Sven begin trekking across the valley. They get to Keith's and Sven's landed F-16s. Hunk, Lance, Keith, Pidge and Sven pause briefly at the jets before continuing on. 22.

EXT. SPACE All of the alien fighters fly back into the ships. The ships begin moving towards earth.

EXT. CITY STREET - NIGHT Hunk, Lance, Keith, Pidge and Sven stop at the edge of a metropolitan. Skyscrapers and structures of Latin American influence rise above them. PIDGE Mexico City. Hunk, Lance, Keith and Sven turn to look at Pidge. Pedestrians walk around them. Most look but none speak or stop. PIDGE (CONT’D) That is the Torre Latinoamericana. Pidge is pointing at a building reaching the skies with a needle at the top. PIDGE (CONT’D) I recognize it from my studies of Latin America. It is the first skyscraper built in Latin America. LANCE Mexico City? We crashed landed in Mexico? HUNK I'm happy that the crash landing wasn't my last crash landing. It wouldn't have mattered to me if we landed in a vat of acid as long as I'm able to feel the burn. Lance, Keith, Sven, Hunk and Pidge looks at their surroundings. HUNK (CONT’D) Does anyone know how to speak Spanish so we can get something to eat. I know I can speak for everyone and say I'm starving. 23.

Pidge stops a passerby and conducts a conversation MOS. The passerby continues walking. PIDGE There is a restaurant down the boulevard about four blocks. SVEN How many languages can you speak? PIDGE Just three. Hunk, Lance, Keith, Pidge and Sven begin walking along the sidewalk. Cars drive by on the street and pedestrians walk past on either side. LANCE The smog here is horrible. It's like Los Angeles and New York smashed together. Lance begins coughing.

EXT. RESTAURANT - CONTINUOUS Pidge stops in front of the doors. Keith, Lance, Hunk and Sven stop behind him. SVEN What do they serve here? HUNK I don't care. Right now I can eat a Gila monster. LANCE Be careful, that maybe part of the cuisine here. KEITH I just notice something. Hunk, Lance, Sven and Pidge turn around to look at Keith. Keith is standing on a street corner looking at the buildings and the bustle of the citizens. 24.

KEITH (CONT’D) Why is business going on as usual here? With all of the fighting and explosions going on in the air, why isn't this city damaged? Why isn't there chaos in the streets? Keith looks over at Hunk, Lance, Sven and Pidge. KEITH (CONT’D) Wasn't this a global attack? If you three collided over the country, then that would have meant this country would have been attacked too. HUNK I just survived a mid-air collision and had almost forgotten why until now. PIDGE Well, it may not be that simple Keith. Were your base under attack? KEITH I'll say so. PIDGE How about yours Sven? SVEN No. We were sent into combat because of the Executive Order. Sven points at Keith. SVEN (CONT’D) an order giving by your President I may add. PIDGE When I first arrived back on base, it appeared to me that we were under attack. But now that I've had time to think about it, I can't say for sure. I believe most of the air to ground strikes were debris or misfires. I could almost be sure of that. Lance shakes his head. 25.

LANCE Doesn't make sense. Why would the government sign off on an offensive without being attacked first? PIDGE Why would your government sign off to drop not one but two atomic bombs on entire villages? KEITH The offensive measure was because we, the world, were threatened. HUNK But they didn't attack any cities. They're not attacking anything now. PIDGE It could be the simple case of the fear of the unknown. A family exits the restaurant with two children. The kids had broken away from their parents and have found themselves playing on the edge of the sidewalk. The boy steps down into the street just as a car speeds through the intersection. The mother screams. Hunk launches himself into the air and lands on top of the boy. He wraps the boy up against his body and rolls away from an approaching car. Laying in the middle of the street, Hunk curls himself into a ball, shielding the boy with his body. A car SLAMS on brakes. The vehicle behind it slams into the back of the first car. A third car slams into the back of the second vehicle. Hunk opens his arms and looks down at the boy. The boy is not crying but is staring up at Hunk with wide eyes. Hunk smiles at the boy and gives him a playful punch underneath the chin. Hands reach down to grab the child. Keith and Lance reach down to pick Hunk up from off the street. 26.

LANCE Are you okay big fella? HUNK Who cares about me? How's the kid? Hunk looks over at the boy who is in his mother's arms. KEITH He's fine thanks to you. The Protection and Transit Directorate arrived on the scene. Pidge, along with the parents and few drivers, give the police statements. Hunk shrugs off the roll. He goes over to the parents who give him a hug. The boy's sister hugs Hunk. Hunk smiles.

LATER

EXT. CITY STREET - NIGHT Keith, Lance, Hunk, Pidge and Sven are walking alone on the sidewalk. An all-black sedan pulls up along the curve and stops beside them. The DRIVER hurries himself out of the driver side, goes around to the passenger side and opens both doors. LANCE Looks like he wants us to get in. KEITH Pidge, ask him if he wants us to get in the car. Pidge speaks to the driver MOS. DRIVER Si. KEITH Who is he? PIDGE (in Spanish) Who are you? 27.

The driver stares at Pidge. He then looks at the others. He stands still beside the open doors of the car. PIDGE (CONT’D) He's not saying. LANCE We can see that. SVEN What do you think we should do? KEITH We can't walk around the city all night and unless anyone else has any other ideas, this is our best choice. Hunk shrugs. Sven, Lance and Pidge stares at Keith. KEITH (CONT’D) Pidge, you get in the front. The rest of us will fill in the back seat.

INT. CAR - CONTINUOUS Hunk followed by Sven, Lance and Keith squeeze their way into the backseat. Pidge gets into the passenger seat. The driver closes both doors. He walks around to the driver’s side and gets in.

EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS The sedan peels away from the curb.

INT. CAR KEITH Where is he taking us? PIDGE (in Spanish) Where are you taking us? The driver continues to stare forward. 28.

LANCE The driver isn't saying too much and I don't like it. SVEN Me neither.

EXT. STREET The sedan pulls off of the road and into a parking lot.

EXT. HOTEL - CONTINUOUS The sedan circles to a stop underneath a canopy. Hunk climbs out of the driver side back passenger door. Lance, Keith and Sven get out behind him. Sven looks up at the exterior of the hotel. SVEN Where did he bring us? KEITH It looks like a hotel. The driver walks up to the hotel door and opens it. Hunk, Lance, Keith, Sven and Pidge look at one another. They all walk inside.

INT. HOTEL The driver leads them through a lobby a presses the button to summon for the elevator.

MOMENTS LATER The elevator door opens and Keith, Hunk, Lance, Sven, Pidge and the driver gets on. The driver presses 4. The elevator door closes.

INT. HOTEL HALLWAY The driver leads Keith, Hunk, Lance, Pidge and Sven to door 420. He slides the electronic key into the lock. 29.

The driver moves to one side to allow Hunk, Lance, Keith, Pidge and Sven in.

INT. HOTEL ROOM HUNK It's a suite. Hunk goes into the kitchenette and opens the refrigerator. HUNK (CONT’D) And there's food! Keith, Lance, Sven and Pidge tour the rest of the room. Sitting on the couch are five sets of clothes, including underwear. PIDGE Wow, somebody is looking out for us. Pidge lifts up a shirt. He holds the shirt up against his chest and nods in approval. Sven and Keith do the same. LANCE (O.S.) I have first dibs on the shower. The bathroom door closes. The shower is turned on. Hunk comes from out of the kitchenette with a sandwich in his right hand. He is chewing profusely. HUNK Did someone say something? PIDGE Yeah. I said that it looks like someone guessed your drawz size. Pidge throws a pair of briefs at Hunk. Hunk catches it against his chest with the arm that has the hand that holds the sandwich. Hunk wide eyes the underwear before he frowns at Pidge. Pidge, Hunk, Keith and Sven begin laughing. 30.

INT. HOTEL ROOM - DAY Pidge gets up off of the sofa. He tip-toes around Sven and Keith who are asleep on the floor. Pidge goes into the bathroom. Pidge walks out of the bathroom. There is a KNOCK at the room door. Pidge grabs his glasses from off of the bar counter and open the door. His mouth drops open. PIDGE Keith, Sven, um, we have company. Sven grumbles a little bit. Keith stirs. PIDGE (CONT’D) Guys. SVEN What do you want Pidge? Sven turns over. Keith sits up. He rubs his eyes. He stands up, focus at the person at the door and freezes. ALLURA, 26, a Native American, Hispanic mix standing around five feet seven inches tall is standing in the hallway. Keith walks up beside Pidge. ALLURA Good morning. My name is Princess Allura. Lance and Hunk come out of the bedroom. They stare at Allura as she walks through the kitchenette. KEITH Would you like a seat Princess? Lance and Hunk looks at each other and mouthed 'Princess.’ ALLURA Please, it's just Allura. I am technically a princess but I don't have much political clout. It's a lineage thing and yes I would like a seat. 31.

Allura sits down on the sofa but continues looking around the suite. ALLURA (CONT’D) Did you like the room? Sorry there wasn't more beds; I guess I could have gotten you separate rooms but I wanted to keep all of you together. LANCE You paid for this? ALLURA Yes I did. I don't have much clout but I can throw what little I do have around. Allura chuckles. KEITH We appreciate your generosity Allura but how and why us? ALLURA I had too. The little boy that you saved, he's a distant relative of mine. Lance, Keith, Sven and Pidge looks at Hunk. Allura eyes Hunk. She gets up, walks over to Hunk and gives him a hug. Hunk hugs her back, blushing. HUNK It's no big deal. I was just doing what anybody else would have done. Allura backs away from the embrace and stares Hunk in the eyes for a moment. She looks at Lance before turning around to face Sven, Keith and Pidge. KEITH Oh, I'm sorry Allura but I'm Keith, this is Pidge, he's Sven, that's Lance on your right and your hero there is Hunk. LANCE We're American air force pilots. 32.

SVEN Except for me. I'm Norwegian. PIDGE I'm Australian. Allura goes back over to the sofa where she sits down again. ALLURA As I said earlier, I am a princess. My great, great grandfather was the last king of the Aztec Empire. I'm one of the final pure blood Aztec Indians left. That's why I have some power because the Empire and everything belonging to my people belongs to me. I've inherited everything which makes me rich, I guess, but a lot of the smaller artifacts aren't worth as much as people believe. PIDGE Allura are you sure? I mean how much is the empire worth? Allura shrugs. ALLURA In the millions. Lance and Hunk whistles. Allura laughs. KEITH I've been meaning to ask you but where are we? The driver didn't talk to us, he didn't tell us anything. ALLURA Sorry but he doesn't speak English or Spanish for that matter. He mostly just speaks Na'huatl. SVEN What? PIDGE Na'huatl, it's the Aztec language. Allura laughs. 33.

ALLURA Yeah. As you can guess he's Aztec too. Allura stands up. ALLURA (CONT’D) Come on, let me show you around.

EXT. HOTEL - DAY Lance, Pidge, Hunk, Keith and Sven walk outside. There is a van waiting for them. The same driver is standing beside the open door. Lance, Pidge, Hunk, Keith and Sven gets inside.

INT. VAN Allura speaks to the driver.

EXT. HOTEL - CONTINUOUS The van pulls out of the parking lot.

INT. VAN ALLURA Before we actually leave the city, I want to show you all something.

EXT. HIGHWAY The van drives through Mexico City in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

INT. VAN Hunk is looking out of the window. HUNK This is like the 405.

EXT. CITY The van stops in the city square. 34.

Allura, Keith, Lance, Pidge, Sven and Hunk get out of the van. Allura leads them to Tenochtitlan. ALLURA This is, was, the center of my peoples civilization. This is Tenochtitlan. Pidge smiles. Lance, Keith, Sven and Hunk stare in silence. ALLURA (CONT’D) I come here sometimes to remind myself that this city started right here with my ancestors. SVEN It should make you proud. ALLURA It does I guess. Let's go on to the pyramid.

EXT. TEOTIHUACAN - DAY The van parks below a large mountain. Lance, Keith, Pidge, Hunk and Sven looks upward. ALLURA Let's go up. Keith, Pidge, Hunk, Lance and Sven follows Allura up the steps. At the summit, Lance, Hunk, Sven, Keith and Pidge are breathing heavily. ALLURA (CONT’D) We are standing on the steps of the Sun Pyramid. This site was not originally built by my ancestors but we praised this spot like our very own. In fact, it became an important city for the Aztec empire. LANCE What is that pyramid way out in the distance? 35.

In the distance is a pyramid with a statue of a lion on the top of it. ALLURA It's the Pyramid of the Moon but no one knows what it was originally built for. The group stares out over Teotihuacan. ALLURA (CONT’D) When I came up here as a child, I would stand here, lift my arms up as high as I could and believed that I could touch the sky. Allura smiles. She stands quietly for a moment looking out over Teotihuacan. ALLURA (CONT’D) Why don't you all come to the house for dinner tonight? HUNK That's sounds like a great idea to me. Hunk smiles. SVEN Yeah, me too. ALLURA Great. I'll have my driver pick you up bring my driver around six. The six of them start back down the pyramid.

INT. ALLURA’S STUDY - NIGHT Pidge and Keith are looking at the books on the shelves. PIDGE I wouldn't have pictured you to be a reader. KEITH Being a commander of the U.S. Air Force takes a lot more studiousness than maybe people realize. I love reading, I love knowledge cause it helps me when I'm up in the air with my squadron. (MORE) 36. KEITH (CONT'D) I want them to be able to trust me when we are in the middle of a battle. PIDGE If I had a choice, I wouldn't want to go to battle with anyone else. Pidge looks over at Keith who is returning the stare. They nod their heads at one another. ALLURA Who knew that you two would spend more time among these old books than with actual people? Keith and Pidge turns around. KEITH Just seeing what you have. Allura shakes her head. She smiles. Keith smiles in return.

INT. DEN Lance is sitting in an arm chair. Hunk is sitting in the sofa. Lance and Hunk are drinking from champagne glasses. Sven is sitting along the windowsill. He is looking up out of the window. SVEN Is it just me or is it dark outside? LANCE I would think so, it is night time. SVEN No, I don't see anything but blackness; no stars, no moon, nothing. Keith walks over to the window where Sven is sitting. KEITH Allura, turn on the television. 37.

Allura turns on the television. There is a newscast being aired. HUNK It's in Spanish. We're not going to… Lance, Pidge, Hunk, Allura and Sven turn toward the television. Keith keeps his eyes out and upward. On the news report there are aerial shots from both news and police helicopters. They are circling a gigantic spaceship that disappears off of the screen. ALLURA They said that it is stretching over the entire continent. KEITH Well we know what their plan is now. Keith turns away from the window. KEITH (CONT’D) They wanted to deplete the world's military forces so they can destroy the planet. SVEN How can you be sure? LANCE They were taking us down for something. SVEN But we started attacking first. Maybe they were the ones on the defensive. HUNK Damn that! We survived a plane crash not because they ran into us delivering cakes but because they shot Pidge down. ALLURA What do you think they are doing? 38.

KEITH I would say setting up, like a chess game. ALLURA For what? For how long? No one speaks. They all stare at the television.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - NIGHT Hunk, Lance, Keith, Sven and Allura are standing in the yard looking upward. SVEN I've never seen anything so massive before. It continues on forever. Lights blink underneath the UFO. HUNK This can very well be the apocalypse.

INT. ALLURA’S STUDY - CONTINUOUS Pidge pulls a book down from off of the shelf. He walks it over to the desk. Pidge opens the book. Inside is a drawing of five lions being connected by an oval. Pidge walks out of the study.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS PIDGE Allura? Allura turns around. So does Lance, Sven, Hunk and Keith. Pidge motions for Allura to follow him. Allura, Keith, Hunk, Lance and Sven goes inside the house.

INT. ALLURA’S STUDY - CONTINUOUS Pidge is sitting down at the desk. Allura, Keith, Lance, Hunk and Sven approaches Pidge. 39.

PIDGE Allura read this for me. I can kinda understand the pictographs but the writing is in Na'huatl. Allura looks over Pidge’s shoulder. Keith, Lance, Hunk and Sven stand around behind them in a circle. ALLURA It reads that lions are the guardians of the horizons. KEITH Lions? Isn't that more of an Egyptian culture? PIDGE It's not unusual to see different cultures and civilizations blend. The United States is a prime example of that. Since you all are the melting pot of the world. Allura looks back and forth at Pidge and Keith. She clears her throat to return the attention back to her. ALLURA Continuing on. It also talks about a mythic being, a creature created by combing five lion guardians that are powered by earth's elements.

QUICK FLASHES - THE ROBOT LIONS -- A shadowy lion flies out of the wind. -- A shadowy lion flies out of the water. -- A shadowy lion flies out of fire. -- A shadowy lion lies out of the ground. -- A lightening flash. A shadowy lion appears. ALLURA (V.O.) This being is believed to be the supreme defender of the Universe. A being called Voltron. -- A shadowy Voltron wields its sword. 40.

INT. ALLURA’S STUDY - NIGHT LANCE This is just a legend right? Like the Greek Gods, like Zeus. I mean there are stories like these in all ancient cultures; what is so special about this one? PIDGE There is a map. Pidge points down at a page. PIDGE (CONT’D) I'm pretty sure that this is a map showing the locations of the five lions. Do you agree Allura? Allura examines the drawing. ALLURA Yes Pidge it is a map. PIDGE Let's go find them. What do you think Keith? LANCE Are you kidding? This could end up being a wild goose chase. I would like to spend my last few hours or days or whatever time I have left to think about my life and to make peace with myself and my maker. Keith speaks low. KEITH Let's do it. Hunk, Pidge, Sven, Lance and Allura turns to look at Keith. LANCE What? KEITH Let's look for them. What do we have to lose? If it is only a legend, what harm will it do? (MORE) 41. KEITH (CONT'D) If these are our last days, how would you want to remember spending it? Sitting around waiting for the ball to drop or doing something adventurous? SVEN And what if it is true? Maybe these lions, or this Voltron is the way to save Earth's civilization. If we can reach them in time. PIDGE I'm in. HUNK What the hell? Me too. Lance stands in silence for a long time. He nods his head. ALLURA You know you all can't do it without me right? KEITH There isn't a way we will be able to do this without you Allura. PIDGE When do we start? KEITH Right now. HUNK In the dark? KEITH Time is of an essence. We do not know how much time we have so every minute counts. LANCE How are we going to get to these locations? How are we gonna see? How are we gonna get tools? ALLURA Give me half an hour and I'll have everything that you'll need. Allura picks up the telephone. 42.

INT. ALLURA’S DEN - NIGHT Lance, Keith, Hunk, Sven and Pidge are standing around watching the television. ALLURA Outside there are five fully gassed four-wheelers, each equipped with the essentials that you would need for exploration. Shovels, picks, axes, mountain climbing boots and walkie-talkies. There is also a flashlight in the kit somewhere. Allura goes into a guest bedroom.

BEDROOM Allura goes into the closet. She pulls out a wooden chest. She drags it along the floor and out of the bedroom.

DEN Allura sits the wooden chest down in front of Lance, Hunk, Sven, Keith and Pidge. Allura flips open the chest. Inside are orange, green, red, blue and black biker outfits. ALLURA These are some biker suits that I found and thought you should have them. They come with matching helmets.

EXT. TLATELOLCO - NIGHT A single headlight stops alongside a stone hedge. Hunk cuts off the four-wheeler and removes his orange helmet. Carrying a walkie-talkie and a flashlight, Hunk walks into the center of the Plaza de las Tres Culturas. Hunk lifts the walkie-talkie up to his mouth. HUNK Hunk to base, I'm here. ALLURA (V.O.) This is base. Do you see anything? 43.

HUNK Nothing. Hunk lowers the walkie-talkie. Hunk stands in the middle of the Plaza shining the flashlight back and fourth. He walks around the area. Hunk lifts the walkie-talkie up to his mouth. HUNK (CONT’D) There isn't anything here but slabs of rock. PIDGE (V.O.) It's there, it's gotta be there. Maybe it's buried. The lions are buried. HUNK I'm going to dig where exactly? Hunk lowers the walkie-talkie. There is not a response. Hunk goes back to the four-wheeler and grabs a shovel and a pick and walks back to the center of the Plaza. Hunk climbs up on an elevated slab of brick grazed over with dirt and grass, He begins shoveling. Hunk shovels until the spade hits concrete. Hunk grabs the pick and begins chipping away at the concrete. He stops to wipe the sweat from his forehead. He looks down at the orange biker suit and laughs. There is a hollow sound like wood that makes Hunk stop swinging. He stomps down one, twice, three times. On the fourth stomp, the ground underneath Hunk crumbles.

INT. CHASM - CONTINUOUS Hunk crashes down. His fall is broken by a statue. Hunk rolls over on his side and rubs his back. He sits up and rubs the back of his head. Hunk begins crawling around the ground, feeling for the flashlight. Hunk’s hand glide through the dirt. His fingers runs across the pick and then nothing. 44.

Hunk feels the circular enclosure for the light bulb of the flashlight seven feet away and to the left from where he landed. Hunk flips on the switch. Hunk shines the light throughout the cave. He sees that it is a cavern built of nothing more than hard caked dirt and mud. Hunk walks up to a nearby wall and looks at the markings. Some are Na'huatl, some are pictographic but the bulk of them are alien. There is a constant shower of dirt raining down from above Hunk producing a dirty mist. Hunk shines the light over the cavern. The light shines over the statue standing two stories high and thirty yards long. With the light, Hunk examines the statue. He approaches it and sees the statue has a lion’s head. Hunk rubs the statue. He knocks on it. There is a metallic echo. Hunk rubs dirt away from a spot. He shines the light over a yellow surface.

EXT. LAKE TEXCOCO - NIGHT A four-wheeler is driving along a dirt road. Sven slams on the brakes. The four-wheeler slides and Sven turns it sharply left. He and the four-wheeler crash to the ground. All the equipment on the back falls out. SVEN (to self) Damn that was close. Sven sits up on the ground and looks out over the water. Sven stands up and brushes himself off. He takes off his all- black helmet before searching the ground for the flashlight. Sven picks up the flashlight and turns it on. He shines the over the water. KEITH (V.O.) Sven? 45.

Sven jumps. Sven follows the cackle of the interference to the walkie- talkie. He picks it up from off of the ground. KEITH (V.O.) Sven, are you there? Sven? Sven lifts the walkie-talkie up to his mouth. SVEN I'm here. KEITH (V.O.) Have you heard from Hunk? SVEN No, what's wrong? KEITH (V.O.) We haven't heard from him. Sven looks up at the spaceship. KEITH (V.O.) Did you find the location of the lion? SVEN Yes but it looks as if it's at the bottom of the lake. Sven sweeps the light over the water. KEITH (V.O.) Guys, meet me in Teotihuacan. Sven picks up the four-wheeler off of the ground. He hops on it and rides back up the same way he arrived. All of the equipment is left on at the lake’s edge.

EXT. IZTACCÍHUATL - NIGHT Riding on the four-wheeler, Lance sees the outline of the mountain rise up towards the spaceship. Lance pulls off an actual road and begins driving across the rolling hills of the countryside. Lance arrives at the base of the mountain and stares up at the peak. He grabs the flashlight and the pick and begins walking the mountain. 46.

Lance circles the base of the mountain. He comes to an opening in the mountain's base. He walks through the opening.

INT. IZTACCÍHUATL - CONTINUOUS Biting down on the base of the flashlight, Lance swings the pick at the top of the opening. The rock splits apart. A small waterfall of mountain tumbles down in front of Lance. Lance throws the pick over to the side. He steps across the threshold of the mountain's face and into a descending tunnel. Lance walks down the steep tunnel. He unzips the coat of his blue biker suit all the way. The tunnel ends onto a small rock cliff inside the mountain. A bright, orange-yellow light illuminates from beneath Lance. Lance turns off the flashlight. He inches around the bend which dips lower. Lance wipes the sweat from his forehead. He is looking down at magma.

EXT. IZTACCÍHUATL - NIGHT Inaudible voices are coming from the walkie-talkie as Lance approaches the four-wheeler. He picks up the walkie-talkie. KEITH (V.O.) Guys, meet me in Teotihuacan.

EXT. MESA DEL NORTE - NIGHT Riding on the four-wheeler, Pidge drives along through the low mountains. In the distance, Pidge sees a dune larger than the rest of the terrain. He turns the four-wheeler towards the dune and deeper into the Mesa. Pidge's mouth drops as he approaches the dune. He steps on the brake, slamming the four-wheeler to a stop. Pidge removes his money green helmet and stares up at the dune. 47.

PIDGE (to self) How can anybody miss this? A metallic lion is sitting on top of a dune and creating a mountain smaller than normal but larger than the ones on this chain. The metallic lion is covered with moss. PIDGE (CONT’D) (to self) This is fucking incredible. This is unreal. Pidge walks around to the back and finds some footfalls where he climbs up onto the base where the lion sits. Pidge shines the light over the bottom and sees a green glint. Pidge kicks the lion. A metallic THUD echoes from it. PIDGE (CONT’D) (to self) This is definitely not Aztec. It's almost ... alien. Pidge looks up at the spaceship hovering overhead. Static interference comes from the walkie-talkie. Pidge walks back to the four-wheeler. KEITH (V.O.) Guys, meet me in Teotihuacan. Pidge turns around and looks at the lion. He gets back onto the four-wheeler and drives away.

EXT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - NIGHT The four-wheeler stops at the bottom of the steps. Keith gets off of the four-wheeler and removes his red helmet. He looks up at the spaceship hovering overhead. Keith grabs the flashlight. He also grabs a bag from the rear basket. Keith looks up at the spaceship again. He frowns. Keith walks up the steps and into the pyramid. 48.

The lion is sitting on the top right corner of the temple.

INT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - CONTINUOUS Keith approaches a wooden door to the pyramid. It is locked shut. Keith drops the bag to the ground and digs through it. He lifts up a drill. He turns the drill on. The drill’s bit drills through the stone lock. At the first sign of a crack, Keith uses the butt of the drill and smashes the lock until it crumbles. Keith drops the drill and pulls open the door. Keith turns on the flashlight. Inside there is a corridor with decorations and writings along the walls in different languages. The corridor leads into one room, circular that extends upward to form the roof of the pyramid. Sweeping the flashlight around Keith sees more writing on the walls. The light sweeps over five doors. The doors are built into the wall circling in front of him. They face out toward the pyramid's opening. Keith lifts up the walkie-talkie to his mouth. KEITH Guys, meet me in Teotihuacan.

EXT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - DAY Pidge, Lance and Sven drive up to the pyramid from three different directions. Pidge, Lance and Sven walk up the pyramid’s steps.

INT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - CONTINUOUS Pidge, Lance and Sven walk up and stand beside Keith. Keith is standing in the middle of the circular chamber facing the doors. SVEN What is this? 49.

KEITH I don't know. When I broke in, I found these doors built directly into the wall. What are your thoughts Pidge? Pidge squints. He begins walking towards the door closes to him. LANCE Pidge, whatcha doing? Pidge reaches the door and presses his hand on it. PIDGE It's cold. It feels like it's metal or iron. It feels like the same material that the lion is made from. SVEN Lion? You found one? PIDGE Yes I did. In the Mesa del Norte in the Low Mountains. Pidge rubs the door. There are not groves or handles. Keith walks up behind Pidge. KEITH Pidge? Pidge jumps. KEITH (CONT’D) Can you read that? Do you know what those words or pictographs say or mean? Keith is pointing up at the archway where there are languages etched into the stone. Pidge looks up and examines the pictographs. PIDGE That's a lion's head. Pidge is pointing at a pictograph of a cat head with a mane around it. Sven and Lance are bending over Pidge’s shoulders. 50.

PIDGE (CONT’D) That means wind. Pidge traces a pictograph with his finger. PIDGE (CONT’D) So I guess it is giving information about the lion that is powered by the wind. LANCE But what is it saying? PIDGE I don't know. Sven steps up to the door in front of him and sees the same language above it. Lance walks up to the door on their left. LANCE Okay, why are we standing in front of doors that can't be opened? What do we do next oh great commander? Standing in front of his own door, Keith runs his fingers along the frame. He feels a protrusion from the wall at the knee. The protrusion is hidden away, camouflaged by the stone its imbedded in. Keith uses a shard of rock that he finds on the chamber's floor and scrapes the surface. Underneath the dirt and loose gravel is a symbol of a crown atop of a cross. KEITH Pidge look. Pidge kneels down next to Keith. Lance and Sven joins them. SVEN What does that symbol mean? PIDGE I've never seen it in anything I've studied before. Pidge wraps his fingers around it and pulls. The protrusion comes out of the wall. 51.

The piece hit the floor. The door opens. Pidge, Sven, Lance and Keith look inside. SVEN That's a shute. It looks like an escape pod. Lance goes closer and looks inside the pod without actually going inside. There is only one seat and the pod takes up the entire opening. LANCE It looks like the inside of a cockpit. It just doesn't have an instrument panel. Pidge searches around the door he was at. He finds the hard oval piece and pulls it from the wall. The door opens. There is a pod inside. PIDGE All of the doors have these things. Find them and pull them off of the wall. Sven pulls the object from the wall by the door he's at and it slides open. Lance pulls the object from the wall by the door he's at and it slides open. Behind each one is a pod with one seat and no instrument panel. Fumbling with the oval wall piece, Keith pulls it apart and the middle springs out. KEITH It looks like a key. Lance, Pidge and Sven looks at the key in Keith’s hand. SVEN A key to what? PIDGE To whatever that pod goes I bet. Pidge opens his key. 52.

Lance and Sven do the same. KEITH Let's see. Keith begins walking towards the door and the open pod. Lance grabs Keith’s left arm stopping him. LANCE Are you sure you want to do that? I mean we don't know where these will lead or even if they work. It could be some type of death trap. KEITH We've come too far to just quit. Our days of living could be at an end at any moment. When I joined the Air Force, I joined to make a difference. I've worked too hard just to wave the white flag. Keith smiles. KEITH (CONT’D) As far as I'm concerned, with that ship above us, it's like facing a firing squad with one wish left. And my wish is to save the world. Lance stares at Keith and turns to look at Pidge and Sven. He gazes down at the key in his hand. SVEN We're right behind you. Keith, Sven, Pidge and Lance walk through their respective doors. They sit down in the seat in the pod and close the hatch.

INT. CHUTE - CONTINUOUS The pods fling forward. Each pod zips through darkness. Each pod going into a different direction.

INT. SVEN’S POD The darkness from being underground lightens as the pod travels into another portion of earth. 53.

Sven sits up slightly. The pod is now traveling underneath water. The pod slows to a stop. It begins to climb upward.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME - CONTINUOUS Sven inside a cockpit as the hatch opens up and the chair is thrust forward. There are small strobe lights inside the otherwise dark cockpit. Sven looks around. It is big enough for two people but only has one seat. Everything is in front of him like in an F-16 with nothing behind him but a wall. The hatch he came up in is a few feet behind his seat while there is another trap door below his feet. On the instrument panel is a hole. Sven opens his hand and holds the key up to eye level. He places the key into the slot. Lights inside the cockpit and the panel come on. A monitor to his right is turned on and he sees nothing but water. The entire cockpit moves. Looking through the glass slits in front of him, Sven sees the rise in elevation. Sven then he hears the roar.

INT. LANCE’S POD Darkness gives away to the orange-yellow of the magma. The pod slows, stops and begins to ascend.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME - CONTINUOUS The chair pushes Lance up to the instrument panel. He stares at the instrument panel. Lance moves his hands over the panel and feels the empty slot. He lifts the key up and puts it into the keyhole. 54.

Everything lights up.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Pidge is thrust forward. He puts the key into the slot.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Keith is thrust forward. He inserts the key into the keyhole causing the lights to come on and the instrument panel to become activated. Looking out through the glass slits, Keith sees darkness. Keith fondles around the instrumental panel until he finds the ignition. The engine begins to run. As the enginie revs up, the darkness begins to dissolve away.

EXT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - DAY Rocks are raining down from the top of the pyramid. A metallic black lion begins to stand up.

EXT. IZTACCÍHUATL - DAY The red lion explodes upward from out of the top. Magma drips off it. The red lion slices through the spaceship.

EXT. LAKE TEXCOCO - DAY The blue lion splashes upward from out of the water. The blue lion slices through the spaceship on its ascent. The sun’s rays are seen coming through the spaceship to the surface of the water.

EXT. LOW MOUNTAINS - DAY A dirt cloud grows larger. A RUMBLE is accompanied with the cloud as the green lion runs across the land. 55.

The green lion’s metallic tail is taunt behind it. Its four metallic legs churn away as it runs. The green lion looks up. The black lion smashes through the spaceship and lands beside the green lion. KEITH (V.O.) Have anyone heard from Hunk? SVEN (V.O.) No. The blue lion touches down next to the black lion. LANCE (V.O.) Me neither. Another hole explodes from the ship as the red lion lands with a trot. KEITH (V.O.) Pidge go find Hunk. Us three will begin work on the ship. PIDGE (V.O.) Roger that. The green lion begins running. The black, blue and red lions crouch down and leap upward. They fly right through the spaceship.

INT. CHASM - DAY Hunk is sitting on the ground underneath the lion’s left forepaw. A light is shone through the hole that Hunk fell through. It grows in size. Hunk stands up and walks over to it. He begins waving his arms back and forth over his head until the light encircles him. The light disappears. HUNK Hey! Hey! I'm down here! A metal rope chain is lowered down through the hole. 56.

Hunk wraps the end of the rope around his waist, secures it and then tugs it. The rope begins pulling him up quickly and effortlessly.

EXT. TLATELOLCO - DAY Hunk pulls himself up out of the chasm. He looks up and sees the rope is coming out of the tail of the green lion. The green lion whips around to face him. It then drops its head and opens its mouth. Pidge emerge from within, walking halfway down the mouth. PIDGE We thought that you may need a hand. Pidge smiles. Hunk laughs. PIDGE (CONT’D) Come on, it's safe. Pidge motions Hunk aboard. Hunk walks up the mouth of the green lion.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME - CONTINUOUS PIDGE You're filthy. HUNK It's raining dirt down there. Constantly. Hunk wipes dirt off of his face with the back of his hand. HUNK (CONT’D) But the other lion is down there. PIDGE We know but you need the key to start it. Pidge points to the key on the instrument panel. HUNK How do you drive this baby? 57.

PIDGE I'll tell you along the way.

EXT. TLATELOLCO - CONTINUOUS From a complete stand still, the green lion takes off, slicing through the bottom of the spaceship.

EXT. SKY - DAY The black lion is flying above the spaceship. The blue and red lions burst through the spaceship. Pieces of the spaceship breaks and falls off.

EXT. CITY - CONTINUOUS Debris from the spaceship crashes down onto parked cars and through buildings.

EXT. SKY The blue and red lions fly alongside the black lion.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME SVEN Look at this thing. We've been punching holes in it and it only looks like somebody chipped a finger nail.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE At least we've done some damage to it.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Not enough. 58.

EXT. SKY Alien fighter ships begin flying from out of the spaceship below the lions. All of the alien fighter ships head in the direction of the lions. A line of alien fighters are shot down by the yellow lion.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK Did we miss anything?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH It's good to hear from you big guy.

EXT. SKY The yellow lion flies up to the right of the black lion.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK Didn't want to stay away from you too long Keith. I know how much you'll miss me.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Where's Pidge?

EXT. SKY The green lion zooms in and bites down on an alien fighter.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE Here and accounted for. 59.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Lions, alpha formation.

EXT. SKY All five lions line up alongside one another to form a wedge. Simultaneously the lions fire onto the incoming alien fighters taking them out as a group. The second wave of alien fighters scatter. The five lions break formation and scatter. Three alien fighters fly underneath the red lion and fire upon it. The red lion spins around. The shots go awry. The red lion roars. Fire shoots out from torches inside its mouth. All three alien fighters go up in flame. A fourth alien fighter attempts an attack from the rear. The red lion kicks it out of the air with its hind legs. The red lion flies after some more fighters. The yellow lion heads straight for a pack of alien fighters. The yellow lion fires its cannons while barreling down on the alien fighters. There is a cloud of smoke and the yellow lion burst through.

EXT. SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS The black lion lands on top of the spaceship. It runs along on top of it leaving claw print shaped damage along the way. The black lion reaches the end of the carrier and stops. The black lion jumps off of the side of the ship. It completes an aerial U-Turn and turns on the thrusters. A giant blade forms in the black lion’s mouth. The black lion crashes into the side of the ship. The black lion cuts through the inside of the spaceship. 60.

There is a chain reaction explosion in the black lion’s wake. The black lion burst through the opposite side. The entire spaceship blows up.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS The impact of the blast knocks the lions upward into the upper atmosphere.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Is everyone okay?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE The next time you decide to take out a continent size space ship, let us know first so we can get out of the way. That ride I don't want to go on again.

EXT. EXOSPHERE The black lion, the blue lion, the yellow lion, the green lion and the red lion hover.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME SVEN Look how far up we are. Our F-16s could never take us this high.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK Oh shit. Do you guys see what I see?

EXT. EXOSPHERE Below the five lions are three more alien spaceships covering over the continents of Africa, Asia and Australia. 61.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME On the control panel monitor, a hatch opens below the alien spaceships. A gun descends from out of the alien spaceships. SVEN Oh my God no; they're going to blow the landmasses right off the planet.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE Fuck that!

EXT. EXOSPHERE The red lion descends rapidly towards the alien spaceship over Africa. The green lion rapidly descends toward the alien spaceship over Australia. The black, yellow and blue lions together descend toward the alien spaceship over Asia.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH We've got to prevent that weapon from firing.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE If you any ideas, speak them now.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Be creative. Sven, Hunk, follow me.

EXT. ALIEN SPACESHIP #1 The red lion makes a B-Line for the ship's gun. The red lion begins to rotate in a tight spiral. The red lion collides with the gun. 62.

EXT. ALIEN SPACESHIP #2 As the green lion approaches, its sides open up. Cables are released and are wrapped around the gun just as it lights up to fire. The green lion flies away pulling the gun with it.

EXT. ALIEN SPACESHIP #3 The black, yellow and blue lions burst through the top. All three lions come out the bottom, taking the gun with them.

EXT. SKY Simultaneously, the alien spaceships explode.

INT. ALLURA’S DEN - DAY On the television is a news broadcast. REPORTER People around the world are celebrating as the alien invaders have been defeated. The alien crafts that have been floating over continents, such as North and Central Americas, Australia and Asia for a little more than a day have been blown out of the sky. Reports are coming in that five lions - possibly robotic in nature - were the ones that brought destruction to the UFOs but no one has neither confirmed nor denied this report.

BACK TO SCENE Allura turns the television off.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS Allura kicks away a chunk of debris and immediately opens an umbrella. Debris rains down against the umbrella. Debris lands around Allura. 63.

Alien spaceship debris is coming down everywhere. Allura looks up. She squints her eyes against the sun.

EXT. HARTEBEESTHOEK RADIO ASTRONOMY OBSERVATORY - DAY Pidge, Sven, Lance, Hunk and Keith are walking towards the observatory. The five lions lay across the terrain behind them. SVEN How do you know about this place? PIDGE The research facility that I was working for back home worked together with HartRAO on a few things. LANCE And we're her because? PIDGE I have a hunch that this isn't over. I believe that there maybe a mother ship. HUNK A mother ship? Are you saying that these big things came from something else? PIDGE It's possible. Yes. Hunk stops. He looks up into the sky as debris continues to fall. He jogs to catch up with the group. Pidge, Lance, Keith, Sven and Hunk approach the observatory from the rear. The back door is pad locked. SVEN How are we getting in? Lance smiles and pushes everyone away from the door. Lance kicks the door. The padlock breaks and the door flies inward. Lance peaks in. He motions them to come in. 64.

INT. HARTEBEESTHOEK RADIO ASTRONOMY OBSERVATORY Pidge leads Lance, Sven, Hunk and Keith into a room filled with monitors, sound equipment and other scientific instruments. Pidge sits down behind one of the monitors and begins typing. HUNK I thought one of these places would have a gigantic telescope busting through the ceiling pointing towards space. PIDGE The satellite dish outside is doing that role.

EXT. HARTEBEESTHOEK RADIO ASTRONOMY OBSERVATORY The satellite dish outside begins to move.

INT. HARTEBEESTHOEK RADIO ASTRONOMY OBSERVATORY Keith bends over Pidge’s shoulder. KEITH Something just bounced back a signal. Did you see it? PIDGE Yeah. I'm adjusting the satellite now. KEITH You're right Pidge. There is another ship. Pidge speaks inaudibly. LANCE Whatcha say? PIDGE I was memorizing the coordinates for the lions. KEITH We have one more task to take care of. I've always wanted to be an astronaut. 65.

EXT. SPACE The black lion in front. The green lion is following close behind. The blue, red and yellow lions fly horizontally across behind the lead two. All five lions approach the mother ship.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME SVEN It's like space itself. It is like bigger than space itself.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE Galactus.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE Who or what are you talking about?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE Galactus. The devourer of planets. He's a comic book character.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Pull up, pull up!

EXT. SPACE The black lion sharply turns upward, barely missing flying into the mother ship. The other four lions sharply ascends. Each one barely missing flying headlong into it. 66.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK What're we gonna do Keith? The ship is too massive for us to take on individually.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE Let's form Voltron.

EXT. SPACE The black lion flips backwards. The yellow, green, blue and red lions flip backwards and barrel rolls straight. The five lions put distance between them and the mother ship.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Activate interlock. Keith grabs and turns a handle next to the foot well. KEITH (CONT’D) Dynatherms connected, infracells up, megathrusthers are go.

EXT. SPACE A solar energy draws the lions into formation automatically. A web of solar waves connects the lions into a triangle. The black lion is at the top. The red lion is to the right. The green lion is to the left. The blue lion is at the bottom right and the yellow lion is at the bottom left. The blue, red, yellow and green lions draw their legs into their bodies. The black lion's forelegs rotates to its back while its hind legs dangle down. 67.

The muzzles of both the blue and yellow lions bend outwards. They slide onto the dangling legs of the black lion forming feet and legs. The electromagnetic pull draws the red and green lions into the slots left by the black lion's forelegs forming arms and a body. Voltron’s head appears from the mouth of the black lion. Voltron hovers parallel to the mother ship. HUNK (V.O.) The mother ship doesn't look so large now. A hatch opens from the mother ship and light seeps from it. The intensity of the light grows until a laser beam is shot from the ship. Voltron raises its arms to cover its chest. The blast knocks it back. KEITH (V.O.) Lance, Pidge are you two okay? LANCE (V.O.) It's getting a little warm in here. SVEN (V.O.) You should be use to that. With one final burst, the beam stops. Voltron charges toward the mother ship. It flies up above the mother ship and pauses in mid-air. Voltron claps its hands together causing a spark. From that spark, a sword is formed from which Voltron wields in its right hand. Voltron comes down with sword, slicing the ship in halves. It comes back around and slices the ship in fourths. The mother ship explodes.

INT. NASA HEADQUARTERS - DAY SCIENTIST #3 is sitting in front of a monitor. 68.

SUPER: NASA HEADQUARTERS A large object is picked up on radar entering the Earth's atmosphere. SCIENTIST #3 Come here and look at this. SCIENTIST #4 rolls his chair over. SCIENTIST #4 What is it? SCIENTIST #3 I don't know sir. The blip on the radar screen breaks up into five separate pieces and disappears.

EXT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - DAY A van pulls up behind the five four-wheelers. The driver’s side door opens. Allura steps down out of the van. She walks past the four- wheelers and begins walking up the steps. Halfway up, Keith, Lance, Sven, Hunk and Pidge emerge from out of the pyramid entrance. HUNK Hey look who's here to welcome us back. Hunk smiles. Lance, Sven, Pidge and Keith wave at Allura. Allura stares at Keith. ALLURA Is everything good? KEITH Yes Allura I would have to say it is. ALLURA And Voltron is real? LANCE As real as we're standing here. 69.

Allura smiles. ALLURA From here on out, you all will be known as the . Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Sven and Lance look at one another. They all smile and nod in agreement. KEITH The Voltron Force. LANCE, PIDGE, SVEN, HUNK (simultaneously) The Voltron Force. They all walk down the pyramid steps together. The lion is sitting on the right corner edge of the pyramid. It has returned to rock.

EXT. SKY A large coffin rapidly descends towards the Arctic Ocean.

EXT. ARCTIC OCEAN - DAY The large coffin splashes down. It sinks.

INT. ARCTIC OCEAN The coffin’s lid pops open.

SERIES OF SHOTS - ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION -- A panoramic view of the Capitol. -- Millions are crowded onto the National Mall. -- Thousands of servicemen are standing up front near the stage. -- World Dignitaries are sitting across the stage. -- The President of the United States walks up to the Presidential Podium. 70.

MONTAGE - A NEW LIFE A) KITCHEN -- Hunk is at the stove. He sprinkles seasoning into a pot. He begins stirring the contents. B) STUDY -- Pidge and Sven are sitting across from one another at the desk. There is a checker board on the desk top. Pidge does a double jump and picks up Sven’s chips. C) BEDROOM -- Allura is sitting Indian-style on the floor. She has her eyes close meditating. D) DEN -- Keith is sitting on the sofa. He is watching the anniversary celebration on television. He rubs the dog tags hanging around his neck.

EXT. CITY STREET - DAY Lance walks up to a pedestrian crossing. A YOUNG WOMAN is standing at the curb. Lance approaches the young woman and taps her on the shoulder. The young woman turns around. LANCE Hola. YOUNG WOMAN Hi. LANCE So you're American? YOUNG WOMAN Yes I am. From your accent I can tell you are too. Lance laughs. The signal changes. Lance walks with the young woman across the street. 71.

LANCE Are you a tourist here? YOUNG WOMAN I'm a student. Here with a study abroad program. I'm just so glad that the world didn't end because of those aliens. That was so surreal, seeing an UFO above our heads all of the time. I'm just so glad that it's over with. Lance nods his head. He also rolls his eyes. Lance looks down at the newspaper that is sticking out of the young woman’s purse. Words on the newspaper are visible. It reads: “Aztec relinquish rights.” LANCE May I see that? Lance points down at the newspaper. The young woman looks down in her purse. YOUNG WOMAN Okay. Can you read Spanish? Lance smiles and winks. The young woman smiles back. She hands him the newspaper. Lance skims the newspaper. He folds it and walks away.

EXT. OCEAN - DAY A boat is anchored in the water.

SUPER: NOVA SCOTIA

INT. BOAT A crew of eight is on board casting nets down into the ocean. CREW MAN How long have we been out here Geno? 72.

GENO Three hours. CREW MAN We've been out here for three hours and haven't caught any thing. I don't believe it. Where are all of the crabs? Ocean waves crash against the side of the boat. Waves begin to become larger and more frequent. The waves begin splashing onto the deck of the boat causing it to sink below the ocean’s surface. The boat floats back up with the water knocking the fishermen around on the boat's deck. GENO Make sure the anchor is secure. The boat's crew checks the anchor. Another wave splashes down over top of them.

CABIN The PILOT #2 sticks his head out of the door. He is pointing out towards the ocean. PILOT #2 What the fuck is that?!

BOAT’S DECK The crewmen looks out towards the ocean where the waves are being generated.

OCEAN - CONTINUOUS A giant head pops up from underneath the water and turns to look at them. It has two eyes, slanted at the corners with dark pupils. There is not a nose but an oval shaped flesh right above the jaw line serves as a mouth. The head dips back under water. 73.

A long, semi-muscular arm rises out of the water and splashes down.

BOAT - CONTINUOUS A wave tilts the boat on its side. The crewmen tumble backwards across the deck. Two of the crewmen flip overboard.

OCEAN The water is calm.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - DAY Four four-wheelers are parked in the lawn. Each has an individual tarp covering them. Lance drives up and parks beside the other four. Lance runs up the stairs.

INT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

FOYER Allura steps down from the bottom step of the stairs just as Lance walks through the front door. ALLURA Where have you been Lance? LANCE Out roaming the city. Lance hands Allura the newspaper. LANCE (CONT’D) Do you have overseers of your estate? ALLURA Well yes and no. There is a tribunal council that handles business with the state directly. Why? What's wrong? 74.

Allura unfolds the newspaper and reads over it.

DEN Keith gets up from off of the sofa. He walks into the foyer.

FOYER Hunk steps out of the kitchen. Pidge and Sven appears from out of the study. ALLURA The tribunal council sold us out. Sold me out. Allura balls the newspaper. PIDGE What's wrong Allura? ALLURA The Aztec tribunal council sold the empire to the country of Mexico for undisclosed amount of money. The Aztec empire surrendered all rights to the country. SVEN Can they really do that without your consent? LANCE It appears that they did. Allura throws the balled up newspaper at Lance. Keith moves over to one side as Allura walks pass him and into the living room.

LIVING ROOM Allura picks up a set of car keys. Allura walks back through the foyer

FOYER KEITH Where are you going? 75.

ALLURA To the council. Allura walks out of the house. Keith, Lance, Sven, Pidge and Hunk look at one another. They all walk out of the house following Allura. Hunk closes the door behind him.

EXT. BRICK BUILDING - DAY A Mazda CX-9 pulls into a handicap parking space. Allura gets out of the driver’s side. Keith, Lance, Hunk, Sven and Pidge gets out from the passenger side. Allura opens the glass door and goes inside. Keith, Lance, Hunk, Sven and Pidge follow behind in a single file line. The door closes. On the glass is the Aztec insignia.

INT. OFFICE - CONTINUOUS Allura swings open the door. CAMARGO is sitting behind the desk. He looks up when Allura bursts in. CAMARGO Allura. ALLURA What's the hell is going on? How can you decide on the state of our culture without my consent? Camargo lifts his hand upward. Allura jerks. CAMARGO Who are the men standing behind you princess? ALLURA They are my bodyguards. CAMARGO And that one? 76.

Camargo points at Pidge. ALLURA All of them are my security. CAMARGO But he's just a boy. And they're Americans. HUNK Actually... Hunk points at Sven. HUNK (CONT’D) ...he's Norwegian... Hunk points at Pidge. HUNK (CONT’D) ...and the boy is Australian. ALLURA Answer me. CAMARGO Let's be real Princess Allura, everyone knows that the heir of the Aztec empire belongs to you. You lucked out and ended up being blood to the 'royal' family and that you are rightfully entitled to everything. However, you also know that all of the Aztec ruins have been tourist attractions for years bringing revenue to this state in bunches. To maximize both Mexico City's capital and to bring money into the Aztec nation, we sold the property right to Tenochtitlan and every thing else from our culture to the state - to Mexico - so they can officially make the Aztec artifacts national landmarks. The Aztec people will be getting paid handsomely. ALLURA Nothing can be signed off unless I give it authorization. Camargo laughs. He opens a drawer at his desk and tosses Allura a nilla folder. 77.

Allura opens the folder and reads the contents. ALLURA (CONT’D) You forged my name. CAMARGO Just call it editorial license. Allura slams down the folder and begins crawling over the desk. Keith and Sven grab Allura, pulling her back. Hunk and Lance goes over to Camargo. Camargo holds his left hand up freezing them. Hunk and Lance look over at Allura. ALLURA Camargo you are a disgrace to us. CAMARGO It had to be done and you know it. Allura picks the folder back up and throws it at him. Allura turns to leave. CAMARGO (CONT’D) Your check will be in the mail shortly Allura. You are compensated greatly. Allura's face gets red. Hunk sees this and clenches his hand into a fist. HUNK Allura may I? Allura nods her head. She walks out off the office with Keith, Sven and Pidge right behind her. Hunk punches Camargo in the face. Camargo grunts from the blow. Lance catches him and ushers him down into his seat. Lance and Hunk hurriedly walk out of the building. 78.

INT. MAZDA CX-9 - DAY Keith is driving. Allura is sitting in the passenger. Allura lifts a tissue to her eyes as she stares out of the window. Keith looks over at her. He turns back towards the road.

EXT. SUN PYRAMID - DAY The Mazda CX-9 is parked at the base. Allura, Keith, Pidge, Sven, Lance and Hunk are standing on the summit. Allura is standing off to herself. Keith, Pidge, Sven, Lance and Hunk stand in a line behind her. PIDGE Are you okay Allura? ALLURA Yes. Just thinking about the stories my father used to tell me about my grandfather and how great my, our people use to be. I had always thought that my peoples legacy would remain in my family until at least when I die; not like this. SVEN Who was that man Allura? ALLURA Camargo. He's Aztec too but from another sect. He's kinda pissed because I'm the royal one. To be honest, he's been doing a great job for our people but I didn't think he would sell us out. Allura looks out over to the Pyramid of the Moon. ALLURA (CONT’D) Do you think we'll ever have to awaken the lions again? Pidge, Sven, Keith, Hunk and Lance all turn toward the Pyramid. 79.

EXT. ISLAND - DAY

SUPER: BERMUDA The warning siren begins to wail. In the horizon a wall of water is speeding toward the main island. The wave rises twelve stories high and expands across two hundred eleven miles. People go into an immediate frenzy. A public announcer for the islands police authority speaks out instructions for evacuation underneath the continuous wail of the siren. Islanders clutch their families as the wall of water towers above them. The water falls onto the island.

SERIES OF SHOTS - TIDAL WAVE DESTRUCTION -- The ocean sweeps through the island. -- A massive flood ensues, killing hundreds and leaving many more homeless. -- Homes, businesses, vehicles are washed away. -- Beaches are corroded.

EXT. BEACH - DAY The wave settles. The Robeast emerges rising out of the ocean using the landmass to pull itself out. The Robeast's shoulders hunches as he lifts himself up out of the water. 80.

At the end of its two slender, muscular, arms are hands with five fingers. That leaves gigantic hand prints in the now muddy beaches. Its torso, wide, is disproportionate with its arms that push up until its knees are lifted out of the ocean to reveal its legs that are muscular and equal in width with its body. The Robeast takes six large steps across the island and dives back into the ocean.

INT. ALLURA’S DEN - DAY Allura, Keith, Pidge, Lance, Sven and Hunk are sitting throughout the room watching television. With the remote in his hands, Hunk channel surfs. He stops on an CNN ‘Breaking News’ report. On the television: REPORTER #2 Hundreds are dead while hundreds more are displaced after a massive tidal wave swept through the island of Bermuda. As you can see by our video, the destruction is devastating. Described by reporters at ground zero.

BACK TO SCENE PIDGE Stop. Hunk looks back at Pidge who quickly reaches for the DVR remote. Pidge rewinds the broadcast. PIDGE (CONT’D) There, look. Pidge stops the rewind and pauses the frame. He walks up to the television and points at the still frame of a beach. PIDGE (CONT’D) See what I see? Allura, Keith, Hunk, Lance and Sven stand up. The approach the television. 81.

On the television screen is a muddy imprint of a large hand. SVEN Is that a hand print? PIDGE It looks like it to me. LANCE That can't be. What in the hell can make a hand print that large in the sand? PIDGE Nothing on Earth can. HUNK Oh no. There is no way. Do you think we are being invaded again? LANCE Did you see what we shot down? Nothing that big was flying in any of those crafts. ALLURA Then what can it be? Is it even a hand print at all? PIDGE I would like to go and check it out, if you don't mind Keith. Keith shrugs. KEITH How are you going to get there? PIDGE I'll take the lion and I'll go tonight so I won't be spotted by anyone. ALLURA That's a good idea. I'll take you to Teotihucan. KEITH We're all going. I don't want you out late by yourself Allura. Allura looks at Keith and frowns. 82.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Pidge looks down at the control panel's monitor. There is an infrared image of the beach displayed on the screen.

EXT. BEACH - NIGHT Two small strobe lights circles the sand from the sky. The lights swing upward.

EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS The green lion touches down with a soft trot. The green lion lays flat, dips its muzzle to the ground and opens its mouth. Pidge exits from the mouth carrying a flashlight. There is book bag slung over his shoulder. Pidge walks down to the beach.

BEACH Pidge walks along the sand. He shines the light around until the print is revealed by the beam. Kneeling, Pidge sits the book bag down in the mud, unzips it and begins removing equipment at quicken pace. Pidge pulls out a tape measure and gets the dimensions of the print. He pulls out a note pad and writes the numbers. Pidge measures the distance between the print and the ocean and writes in the note pad. Walking back to the street, Pidge sweeps the flashlight’s beam over a second hand print. Pidge stares at the print.

EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS The green lion stands up as a patrol vehicle approaches. The headlights of the patrol vehicle shines on the road ahead of it. The green lion is gone. 83.

The patrol vehicle keeps on driving.

INT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - NIGHT Sven, Lance, Keith, Allura and Hunk are standing around the chamber silently. The door leading to Pidge's cute opens. Pidge steps out holding the book bag by the strap at the top of it. ALLURA Did you find anything? Pidge drops the bag on the chamber floor and kneels down beside it. Allura laughs. ALLURA (CONT’D) I never had anyone to bow before me. Allura laughs louder. She lifts her hand over her mouth when she notices that she’s the only one laughing. Lance, Keith, Sven and Hunk approaches Pidge. Allura looks at Keith, Lance, Sven and Hunk. She stops laughing. Pidge stands up holding the note pad. PIDGE I measured the prints. HUNK Prints? There were more than one? Pidge tucks the note pad between his knees and holds his hands out, palm down. PIDGE Yes. There were two of them. Both of them with the same measurements. Pidge lifts the note pad up. PIDGE (CONT’D) Thirteen feet wide and from the top of the middle finger down to the wrist, eight feet long. 84.

Pidge glances down at the note pad before dropping it down onto the book bag. Pidge walks over to the stone podium in the middle of the chamber and rests his hands on it. PIDGE (CONT’D) The impressions on the beach had a depth of about a foot as if it used the land to boost itself up from out of the water like this. Pidge pushes down on the podium. LANCE Are you telling us that there is a monster out there enormous enough to use an entire island to propel itself over the land? PIDGE I didn't get a chance to examine the entire island but from just a quick scan from the infrared as I left I didn't see any other noticeable prints. So my deduction is that whatever it is, it used Bermuda like a spring board to cross onto the other side. SVEN Because the landmass blocked its way. It hopped the island to continue swimming. Pidge wipes the loose gravel from the podium off of his hands. PIDGE Yes I would have to say so. ALLURA So if whatever it is still out there swimming in the Atlantic where is it going? HUNK My question is what is it exactly? Pidge shakes his head and shrugs. PIDGE I do not know. 85.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL - DAY A large flat bed truck is carrying a missile silo on the street. The flat bed truck drives up to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION - DAY A rocket is set to launch. Scientists are working around the rocket.

INT. CAPE CANAVERAL LIGHTHOUSE - CONTINUOUS Maintenance personnel wearing hard hats are checking instruments, the electrical wiring and the bulb. A WORKER looks out towards the ocean. He stops moving and stares. The worker nudges WORKER #2. WORKER Look out there. Do you see that? Worker #2 squints his eyes. WORKER #2 I can't really see what's going on; it kinda look like a wave. The worker picks up his walkie-talkie from off of his hip and lifts it up to his mouth. WORKER There is something going on out in the ocean and wanted to give y'all a heads up.

INT. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER - CONTINUOUS A COMMUNICATIONS PERSON lays the walkie-talkie down on the table next to him. COMMUNICATIONS PERSON Sir one of our maintenance workers spotted something out in the Atlantic. 86.

The COMMANDER walks over the communications person. They both look on the radar. There is a blip on the screen. COMMUNICATIONS PERSON (CONT’D) Whatever it is, it's heading straight for the launch site sir. COMMANDER Is it a wave? Is it the tidal that hit Bermuda? COMMUNICATIONS PERSON Can't say for sure, sir. COMMANDER Do we have time to launch? COMMUNICATIONS PERSON I don't see why not sir.

EXT. OCEAN The Robeast lifts its head out of the water. It sees the rocket on the launch deck. The Robeast dives underneath the water and continues swimming. The Robeast swims directly towards Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The strokes and kicks of the Robeast begins to stir a wave and that is growing larger by the mile.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION In the background, the wave gets larger, higher. The ocean wall of the wave is in a direct line with the rocket.

INT. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER - CONTINUOUS An ENGINEER looks through a monitor. ENGINEER What's going on out there? ENGINEER #2 It's a tidal wave! 87.

Employees begin running around in a frenzy.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION - CONTINUOUS The rocket ignites.

INT. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER - CONTINUOUS ENGINEER Set the alarm! Evacuate. Evacuate.

EXT. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER - CONTINUOUS Employees are scrambling out of the building.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The siren blares.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION - CONTINUOUS The rocket takes off. The wave stops three feet away from the mainland. The wave parts. The Robeast’s arm rises from out of the water and reaches for the rocket. The rocket continues its ascent.

INT. PIDGE’S BEDROOM - DAY Pidge’s iPhone beeps. Pidge reaches over to the night stand and picks it up. He also grabs his glasses. Putting on his glasses, Pidge looks down at the iPhone. He adjusts his glasses. Pidge throws the covers back.

DEN Pidge is standing in the middle of the room. He is fully dressed in his green biker suit. 88.

Lance, Allura, Sven, Hunk and Keith walks in. They are in their sleepwear. Lance is frowning. LANCE This better be good Pidge, I was in the middle of a kiss with Megan Fox. ALLURA You're already dressed. PIDGE We have a, um, emergency. Pidge looks down at his iPhone. He turns it towards the others. PIDGE (CONT’D) I received a text alert a few minutes ago; it's from NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. They are under attack by some type of beast. SVEN Beast? PIDGE That rose up from out of the ocean. Allura, Keith, Lance, Sven and Hunk look at one another. They all begin running up the stairs.

EXT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - DAY The Mazda CX-9 slams on brakes skidding to a stop on the bottom steps. Hunk gets out from the driver’s side. Keith gets out of the passenger side. Lance, Pidge and Sven gets out of the back. Hunk, Lance, Keith, Sven and Pidge run up the pyramid’s steps. They disappear inside.

INT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - CONTINUOUS Keith, Lance, Pidge, Sven and Hunk runs up to the five chamber doors and stops. 89.

Each of them pulls a necklace from around their necks. The lion keys are hanging from them. In unison, Keith, Lance, Pidge, Sven and Hunk step closer to the chamber doors. They squat down and press the protrusion. The five chamber doors open. Keith, Lance, Pidge, Sven and Hunk steps inside their respective pods. The pods disappear in the chutes.

EXT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - CONTINUOUS Allura is standing halfway up the steps when rocks began to come down on her. She looks up. The black lion rises up on all fours and looks down at her. ALLURA Good luck Keith. The black lion leaps into the air.

EXT. SKY - DAY All five lions fly alongside one another casting a shadow as over the ocean’s surface.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH What do you think we should expect Pidge?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE Don't know. Something big.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK That's for certain. 90.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH There isn't anything that you can give us?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE I know just as much as you do.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL - DAY The Robeast pulls down the launch tower. It punches through the air force station. The Robeast steps over to the Kennedy Space Center and kicks through it. The Robeast stops. It turns and looks at the five approaching lions.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME SVEN Good grief, look at that thing.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE Don't you mean damn?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK It sees us, it's looking right at us.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robest steps back over to the air force station. It kneels down and picks up the launch tower. The Robest throws the tower at the five lions. 91.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Keith sees the launch tower heading straight for him. KEITH Evasive maneuvers.

EXT. SKY The black lion drops altitude. The green lion barrel rolls. The yellow lion air-hops over the launch tower. The blue lion kicks it back to the red lion. The red lion swipes the tower away with its forepaws.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robeast stares. It begins walking across the land. Its gait quickens as it walks across the terrain.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Its heading for the ocean again. We have to prevent it from getting to mainland Florida. Sven, keep it above ground.

EXT. SKY The blue lion breaks away from the pack. It speeds past the Robeast overhead.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robeast dives into the water. The blue lion splashes down in the ocean. The other four lions land on the shoreline. 92.

EXT. OCEAN The blue lion bites down on the Robeast’s arm. The blue lion dives back under water. The Robeast spins around quickly. It swings its left arm connecting with nothing but water. The blue lion clamps down on the flesh of the Robeast's back. The Robeast screams a water-full gargle.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The blue lion pulls the Robeast out of the ocean and onto the shoreline. The other four lions back up.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Lance is looking at the Robeast through the windows that serve as the lion’s eyes. LANCE Guess its not that tough. So what's next?

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robeast spins on its back extending its legs and sweeping the lions off of their legs and onto their sides. The Robeast quickly bounces to its feet. The Robeast kicks both the red and yellow lions away back-to- back. The Robeast picks up the green lion and throws it in a spiral. The Robeast grabs the black lion by its tail, spins around and flings it. The Robeast grabs the blue lion and begins to try to pull it apart. The yellow and red lions skid across the land before stopping. 93.

Both the black and green lions sail through the air three and a half miles before crashing down to earth. The Robeast continues to pull the blue lion.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME The walls around Sven begin to warp. Sven pushes a button on the control panel.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The blue lion’s thrusters revs on. Flames from the thrusters extend up the Robeast’s left forearm. The Robeast screams. It let go of the blue lion. The blue lion lands on all fours. The blue lion turns around and mule kicks the Robeast's shin. The Robeast to drop to its knees. In the background, the four lions are running across the terrain towards the Robeast. In unison, all five lions leap into the air and pile on top of the Robeast. They dig their claws into the Robeast’s skin. The Robeast stands up shedding the lions off of it. The five lions go airborne. The Robeast punches the green lion.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Pidge is bounced around within his seat. His head bounces off of the control panel.

EXT. SKY The other four lions float in air. 94.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Pidge? Pidge, are you okay?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Pidge is laying across the control panel.

EXT. SKY The black lion levels out.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE I got em.

EXT. SKY The red lion swivels its body in mid-air and flies after the green lion. The red lion bites down on the green lion’s tail as it falls. The red lion sits the green lion down on its side. The red lion approaches the green lion and nudges it with its muzzle.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Lance is looking at the side of the green lion through the windows that serve as the lion’s eyes. LANCE Talk to us Pidge.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Pidge sits up from off of the control panel. PIDGE I'm sorry. I went out for a moment. 95.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE Glad you came back to us. Now let's return back to the dance.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The red lion steps back. The green lion rolls over onto its legs. Both lions begin running.

MEANWHILE The black, yellow and blue lions circle the Robeast. The Robeast stands its ground. It watches the three lions walk around it.

EXT. SKY A news helicopter appears hovering above the Robeast and the three circling lions.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robeast looks up. The black, yellow and blue lions stop circling. They look up.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK What are they doing here?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Keith looks on the screen. He sees the Robeast squatting. KEITH It's going to jump. It's going after the helicopter.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robeast leaps into the air. 96.

EXT. SKY The green lion buries its head into the Robeast's chest sending it flying backwards. The Robeast’s legs swing upward on the impact. It’s right foot connect with the news helicopter. The helicopter catches fire. It begins to go down.

INT. CAMARGO’S BEDROOM - DAY Camargo walks out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist. He is using another one to dry his upper body. Camargo goes over to the dresser. On the corner is the nilla envelope. Camargo pulls out a pair of underwear from out of a dresser drawer and pulls them on. Camargo looks over at the television. He turns the knob. On the screen, is a REPORTER #3. REPORTER #3 We want to inform our viewers, especially to the family of the pilot and cameraman and reporter, that although we lost the feed we can not confirm or deny any reports about the status of the crew. But we do have video from the last feed we received.

BACK TO SCENE Carmargo sits down on the bed. He throws the towel onto the floor. He puts on a tee shirt. Carmargo sees on the television a yellow, blue and black robotic lions at the bottom left. Camargo goes into his closet and pulls down from the top shelf another copy of the Aztec history text. Camargo flips through the book. He stops and reads. Camargo turns back towards the television. 97.

INT. MAZDA CX-9 - DAY Allura lays across the back seat. Her cellular rings.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - SAME Camargo pulls up into the yard. He gets out the car and looks at the four-wheelers parked on the lawn. Camargo lifts his cellular phone up to his ear.

INTERCUT - TELEPHONE CONVERSATION ALLURA Hola. CAMARGO You sneaky bitch. ALLURA Who is this? CAMARGO Bodyguards? ALLURA Camargo. What the fuck do you want? CAMARGO I was calling to see if you are home. I thought we ended yesterday on a rather sour note so I wanted to come by and see if we could reconcile.

INT. MAZDA CX-9 - CONTINUOUS Allura sits up. ALLURA I'm not home.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE CAMARGO (sarcastically) Oh. Camargo walks up to the front door. He holds the phone away. 98.

Camargo kicks the door along the doorknob. The door flies inward.

INT. ALLURA’S HOUSE Camargo walks inside. CAMARGO I was watching television earlier and I saw something very interesting. Apparently there is some alien monster here on Earth. In Florida of the U.S. of A in fact.

ALLURA’S STUDY Camargo walks in. He goes the desk and pulls out drawers. He searches through it. CAMARGO But as I watched the newscast I saw three robotic cats on the ground. Or should I say lions. Camargo closes the drawer and walks out.

ALLURA’S GUEST BEDROOM Camargo sticks his head through the door. He sees men’s clothing laying across the bed.

FOYER Camargo stops. CAMARGO I've known you our entire lives and I've never heard of you needing bodyguards. So it didn't take me long to put two-and-two together. Five bodyguards. The lions. The legend is true. Voltron is real and your, um, bodyguards are the pilots.

INT. MAZDA CX-9 - SAME Allura stares at the pyramid through the windshield. 99.

INTERCUT - TELEPHONE CONVERSATION ALLURA What more do you want from me Camargo? Camargo laughs. CAMARGO Why would I want anything? Camargo switches the cellular to the opposite ear. CAMARGO (CONT’D) Okay. Of cause I want something. You've unearthed one of our culture's greatest legends, one of the world's greatest legends and that is more valuable than any Aztec landmark or compensation you, nor I, nor our people will ever have.

INT. ALLURA’S KITCHEN - SAME Camargo walks in. He opens the refrigerator door and pulls out a bottle of water. Camargo opens the bottle. He takes a drink. CAMARGO I want to Voltron.

INT. MAZDA CX-9 - SAME ALLURA Voltron isn't for sale.

INT. ALLURA’S FOYER Camargo drinks from the bottled water as he walks. CAMARGO I know that, he's public property. Besides, you can't put a price on him. There is a knock at the door and Camargo opens it. A FedEx driver is standing on the stoop. They are delivering a certified letter. 100.

Camargo signs for it. He takes it and closes the door. Camargo opens the envelope and pulls out the check. He rips it up. CAMARGO (CONT’D) I want Voltron's secret. Where is the lion's location? Where are the keys? Everything.

INT. MAZDA CX-9 - SAME Allura forces a laugh. ALLURA How would I know?

INT. ALLURA’S FOYER - SAME CAMARGO Don't give me that shit. Your five house guests, your supposed bodyguards, they're piloting the lions aren't they? They're piloting Voltron aren't they? How long have you known? Camargo looks around the house in the immediate area. CAMARGO (CONT’D) The alien invasion; the lions took down the ships. Hot damn.

INT. MAZDA CX-9 - SAME ALLURA I can't help you.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - SAME Camargo walks out through the door without closing it. He walks to his car.

INTERCUT - TELEPHONE CONVERSATION CAMARGO You never could cousin. That's why we always had our issues. (MORE) 101. CAMARGO (CONT'D) All because you are the direct heir to the crown, you seem to be above the other half of your family; you seem to be above me. ALLURA Is that how you feel Camargo? Is that why you're trying to destroy me now? CAMARGO I'm not destroying you Allura. I'm just doing what's best for our people. Just to your expense. Camargo lowers the cellular. He gets inside his car.

INT. CAR - CONTINUOUS Camargo sticks the keys into the ignition. He sits back into his seat and stares at Allura’s house. Camargo picks up the map. ELDER MAN (V.O.) The pyramid is secrete. The entrance has been sealed long before I was even born. Ancient stories say that he pyramid holds a secret. Camargo smiles. He tosses the map over to the passenger seat.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS Camargo’s car pulls out of the yard.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL - DAY The Robeast lands on its back. The green lion lands near it. The green lion releases a chain from its tail and begins wrapping it around the Robeast's neck.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE We're going to end this right now. 102.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robeast puts a hand in between the chain and its neck. It twists the chain its hand enough to grip it. The Robeast then pulls the chain. The green lion jerks. It digs its claws into the ground.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE It’s pulling me.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH We're on it.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The black lion claws the Robeast's face. The Robeast lets go of the chain. The yellow lion uses its teeth to snap the chain in half.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME SVEN This thing never quits.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robeast grabs the yellow lion and throws it out of the way. It stands up again. The red lion backs away.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE There are five of us and one of it and it's still stronger than us. 103.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH But it's not stronger than us together. We need to form Voltron.

EXT. SKY In unison, all five lions ascend.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH Commence Voltron sequence. Activate interlock, dynatherms connected, infracells up, magathrusters are go. Static interference HUMS through the cockpit. CORAN (V.O.) Black lion. Calling the pilot of the black lion. Black lion. KEITH This is Commander Keith. Pilot of the black lion. CORAN (V.O.) I am Coran. The high priest to the people of the planet of Arus and caretaker to the Castle of Lions. Keith sees the view change in front of him. The view went from looking directly into the sky to facing forward at the Robeast. KEITH Coran I don't know who you are exactly but I'm a little busy right now.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL Voltron touches down thirty yards away from the Robeast. A stare down ensues. 104.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK Who was that you were talking to?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH What?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK You were talking to someone but we only caught the tail end.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME LANCE Watch out.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL Voltron lifts its right arm and blocks the charging Robeast. It uses its left hand to push the Robeast away. The Robeast stumbles a bit before regaining its footing. Voltron gets into a battle stance.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME SVEN I didn't expect it to be this careful.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK It's not wrestling against cats anymore. It's facing something its own size.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL Helicopters appear. They hover over the Robeast and Voltron. 105.

The robeast attacks Voltron with three quick strikes. Voltron puts up his arms to cover its face and chest as the Robeast hits it with another three-hit combination.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME SVEN Look how fast it's throwing its punches. We can barely block them.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME PIDGE It's driving us back.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL Voltron takes four steps back with its arms covering its face and chest.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK What are we gonna do Keith?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Keith is looking out through the empty space between Voltron’s forearms. Keith is tapping his left knee counting. Keith sees the Robeast drop its hands. Keith the control trigger forward.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL Voltron japs the Robeast in its chest. Voltron then follows with a left cross. The Robeast falls back. 106.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH It was dropping its hands after its flurry of punches. So we took advantage of the hesitation.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL Voltron continues its flurry of punches upon the Robeast. An uppercut sends the Robeast crashing down through the Kennedy Space Center building.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME CORAN (V.O.) I am Coran. The high priest of the Planet Arus. LANCE Planet Arus?

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME CORAN (V.O.) Arus is a planet exactly like yours, Earth, in a galaxy three light years away from your very own. PIDGE How are you able to tap into this frequency?

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL The Robeast throws a punch and connects with Voltron. Voltron steps back from the blow.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME HUNK This bastard doesn't quit.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME KEITH We're gonna end this.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL Voltron clasps its hands together that starts a spark. The spark generates into a curved band of solar energy as it pulls its hands apart. The solar energy transforms into a sword. Voltron raises its sword wielding hand back and comes down with two quick successions. Down and back. With the first swing, the Robeast's right side from the shoulder down to its groin begins breaking apart. The Robeast’s left side breaks apart from the up swing of Voltron’s sword. The Robeast explodes. The sword in Voltron’s hands dematerialize. Voltron looks up at the news helicopters.

INT. NEWS HELICOPTER - CONTINUOUS The cameraman leans out of the helicopter. The camera zooms in on Voltron looking up at him.

EXT. CAPE CANAVERAL - CONTINUOUS Voltron takes off from a complete standstill. It flies above the helicopters and out of sight. 108.

INT. HOUSE - DAY A LITTLE KID is sitting Indian-style on the floor watching television. On the television screen: Voltron flies from left to right. LITTLE KID That was so awesome.

INT. MAZDA CX-9 - DAY Allura hears the car pull up behind the van. She climbs out.

EXT. PYRAMID OF THE MOON - CONTINUOUS Allura frowns. Camargo gets out of his car. CAMARGO I thought I'll get more of a smile from my cousin when she sees me. Camargo closes the car door and then leans on the car not turning his eyes away from Allura. Allura’s frown deepens. CAMARGO (CONT’D) There goes the welcome I've been waiting to see. ALLURA How did you find me? Camargo straightens up. He gets off of the car. He begins walking towards Allura. Camargo walks right up on Allura. He takes a step his right, Allura’s left, to avoid walking directly into her. Camargo speaks with his back facing Allura. CAMARGO What I've learned as an high official is to leave as little a paper trail as possible. A lot of regular people don't know that or disregard it altogether lucky me. 109.

ALLURA (to self) Paper trail? Allura looks down at the ground. She continues to frown. She turns around to look at Camargo. ALLURA (CONT’D) The text. You were in the house? Why and what in the hell were you in my house? CAMARGO You allowed five strangers, five male strangers, to live in your house but get mad when your own flesh and blood visits you? I'm aghast. Camargo smiles only for a moment. Allura puffs, frowns and balls her fist up but only for a moment. ALLURA There were five places marked on the map, how did you know to come here? Camargo smiles. He looks up at the pyramid. CAMARGO If you want to think back to your fondest memories you go back to your childhood. As kids we all came here to Teotihuacan. We all walked up to the Sun Pyramid where we prayed, celebrated, worshipped, et cetera. But we never came over here to the Pyramid of the Moon. Some said that it possesses great evil. The most agreed idea was that it held a secret but no one knew what. Camargo walks up to the third step. He looks up to the pyramid’s entrance. CAMARGO (CONT’D) For ages the mystery of what the Pyramid of the Moon hold wasn't spoken, only to be written within our history, buried deep in the Aztec culture. And what it held. 110.

Camargo turns around and looks back at Allura. CAMARGO (CONT’D) Voltron. Tell me, how do I take control of him? ALLURA You know better Camargo. You can't do it alone. You need five. CAMARGO But if I have the black lion, I'll have all of the power. Camargo begins walking up the steps toward the pyramid. Allura runs up the steps after Camargo. She reaches Camargo and grabs his arm. Camargo swings around. Allura loses her balance and falls backwards onto the steps. Camargo watches her fall. There is a roar. Camargo turns around. The black lion is standing on the roof of the pyramid. CAMARGO (CONT’D) You, in the lion, show yourself. Which one are you? The one that punched me in my office? I hope so, we have another round to go. The black lion roars. The black lion leaps off of the pyramid's roof. It lands on the landing right before the pyramid's doors. The black lion claws Camargo. Camargo goes flying through the air. He crashing down on the van's windshield. The Plexiglas of the windshield caves in wedging Camargo inside. KEITH (V.O.) Are you okay Allura? Allura nods her head. She touches the bloody gash on her head. The blood is thick and wet but isn't pouring. 111.

Allura, pressing her hand against the gash on her head, walks down the steps to the van where Camargo is laying. The right side of Camargo’s face is sliced. Blood is running out from his mouth and nose. He lay motionless. Allura turns around to face the black lion. ALLURA How are we going get home? The black lion lays down. It opens its mouth.

INT. ALLURA’S BEDROOM - DAY Allura walks around the room. She stops at a photograph. It is of an Aztec chief, her GRANDFATHER.

EXT. SUN PYRAMID - DAY (FLASHBACK) A CHILD ALLURA is standing next to her grandfather as they look out over Teotihuacan. Grandfather looks down at the child Allura. GRANDFATHER One day this will all be yours. This will be your legacy. Take care of it.

INT. ALLURA’S BEDROOM - DAY (BACK TO PRESENT DAY) Allura sits the photograph back down on the dresser. She looks around again. She walks out of the room.

INT. ALLURA’S DEN - CONTINUOUS Allura walks down the steps and enters into the room. Pidge and Hunk are sitting on the couch. Pidge and Hunk stand up when Allura walks in. Lance is leaning against the archway that serves as the door to the kitchen. He straightens up when he sees her. Keith and Sven are both looking out the same window and simultaneously turns when they see her. 112.

ALLURA I'm coming with you. There is nothing here for me anymore. My entire legacy is now in the hands of the Mexican government. PIDGE They can never take your family legacy from you. SVEN This is your home. This is where you belong, here with your people. Here with your family. Allura smiles. She blinks away the tears forming in her eyes. ALLURA You five are my family now. Allura looks around the room. Keith, Pidge, Hunk, Lance and Sven stare back at her. KEITH Are you sure Allura? ALLURA Yes Keith, I'm sure. KEITH Well, are we ready gang? Lance, Sven, Hunk and Pidge nod their heads. Lance leads Hunk, Pidge, Sven, Keith and Allura out of the back door.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS All five lions lay in wait in the yard. Across the window is a ‘Foreclosure’ sign. KEITH Are you going to lock up? ALLURA What for? It's not my home any more. Allura follows Keith into the black lion. 113.

INT. LION COCKPIT - SAME Keith sits down in the seat. Allura sits down on the floor behind him. KEITH Try to get comfortable. This could be a long trip. ALLURA Don't worry. I peed before I left. Keith and Allura laugh.

EXT. ALLURA’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS All five lions get down in a crouching position. They leap into the air together.

EXT. SKY - DAY The blue, yellow, green, red and black lion streak upward. CORAN (V.O.) The aliens that invaded your planet were a scout team from the Drules that travel through space and time to look for another planet to take over. Voltron was sent ahead of them to block their plans. Now the Drules have returned to Arus and Voltron is needed once more. Will you, Earth pilots of the lions, return Voltron home to save its people?
