The entrance to the club is via a drive way, located between the Holy Souls Church and Ibrahims Restaurant, opposite the KFC Restaurant. Live During The Sale Sporting Memory’s offer an online bidding service via the-saleroom.com for bidders who cannot attend the sale. In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your credit card details (for identification purposes only) you authorize Sporting Memory’s to invoice you for the full amount including an extra 4% + VAT commission surcharge. Payment should be made in accordance with our ‘payment of accounts’ terms shown below. Commission Bid by Letter. Fax. Telephone or E-Mail A client may instruct the auctioneer to bid on their behalf up to a fixed amount. The commission will be executed at a price as low as other bidding allows. I have chosen to write three parallel intertwined stories. They are the main points in the development of the club in the early years, illustrated with some results and reports from those days from the relevant club magazines, and interspersed with some observations on my own short running career once I arrived on the scene (thankfully for you that was not until 1982!). There are thousands of results and reports, and I have tried to select items of interest and/or relevance. I have tried to not dwell on, or comment too often on, the ‘but things were different/better in them days’ aspect of athletics. I leave you to interpret the content as you wish.
