The present study deals with 29 lamiid species under 21 genera of Dooars, West Bengal, India. These include 4 newly recorded species, namely, Macrochenus isabellinus Aurivillius, Aesopida malasiaca Thomson, Pterolophia (Hylobrotus) lateralis Gahan and Nupserha quadrioculata (Thunberg) from India while 16 others (marked by ∙)fromthestate. 1. Introduction We (saving the second author) for nearly two decades are involved in the exploration of the long horn beetles of Subfamily Lamiinae (Cerambycidae) include members of flat the area. Present communication is one such outcome on the faced longhorn beetles that are both xylophagous and phy- lamiids dealing with 29 species under 21 genera. -

Introduction and Background on Proposed Action This biological assessment (BA) has been prepared by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) to evaluate the potential effects on federally-listed threatened and endangered species and designated critical habitat from the movement of baled garbage and regulated (domestic) garbage (GRG) from the State of Hawaii for disposal at landfills in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. Specifically, garbage is defined as urban (commercial and residential) solid waste from municipalities in Hawaii, excluding incinerator ash and collections of agricultural waste and yard waste. Regulated (domestic) garbage refers to articles generated in Hawaii that are restricted from movement to the continental United States under various quarantine regulations established to prevent the spread of plant pests (including insects, disease, and weeds) into areas where the pests are not prevalent. -

To date, only the type species of the genus, P. fruhstorferi Breuning, 1956 has been known. Two species of the genus Mesoereis Matsushita, 1933, M. tonkinensis Breuning, 1938 and M. ob- scurus Matsushita, 1933, are transferred to the genus Paragolsinda by the features of external structure judged from the photographs of the type specimen of P. fruhstorferi. A new species, Paragolsinda siamensis sp. nov. from Northern Thai- land, is described. The structures of endophallus except for the type species are described with illustrations. The terminol- ogy for the structure of endophallus employed in our previous paper is partly modified in accordance with recent references. Key words: Cerambycidae, Mesosini, endophallus, endophallic terminology, new species, new combination, Paragolsin- da, Mesoereis, key Introduction The genus Paragolsinda was established by Breuning (1956) based on a Vietnamese species, P. fruhstorferi Breun- ing, 1956. Since then, no one has referred to this genus except for Breuning (1959). In the course of our studies of Asian Mesosini, we examined the male genitalia of several species related to this genus. As a result, we concluded that Mesoereis tonkinensis Breuning, 1938 and M. obscurus Matsushita, 1933 should be transferred to the genus Paragolsinda. -

Linsley Gressitt Of the Lingnan Natural History Survey and Museum Lingnan University, Canton, China EIGHT PLATES The present report is in the nature of a classification of the longicorn, or long-horned, beetles hitherto collected on Hainan Island, as far as available to the writer. A large part of the material on which the work has been based is included in the collections of the Lingnan Natural History Museum of Lingnan University, Canton, made on various expeditions, principally by F. K. To in 1932 and 1935, by Prof. W. E. Hoffmann, Mr. 0. K. Lau, and Dr. F. A. McClure in 1932, and by the Fifth Hainan Island Expedition of the University in 1929, as well as on col- lections made by myself on my trip (34) to the island during the summer of 1935. The remainder of the material studied includes, among others, part of the collection made by Mr. J. Whitehead in 1899, and the specimens collected by Commander G. Ros in the spring of 1936. A list of localities is given at the end, in addition to the map, in order to facilitate the identification of place names used. I am deeply grateful to Professor W. E. This paper represents the contribution to the knowledge of the longhorn beetle (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) fauna of the City of Kragujevac (Central Serbia). Ba- sed on the material collected from 2010 to 2014 by authors, as well as on available litera- ture data, 66 species and 13 subspecies from five subfamilies were recorded, while the highest number of species is registered within the subfamilies Cerambycinae (26) and La- miinae (19). Four species are rarely found in Serbia: Vadonia moesiaca (Daniel & Daniel, 1891), Stictoleptura cordigera (Füsslins, 1775), S. erythroptera (Hagenbach, 1822), and Isotomus speciosus (Schneider, 1787). Subspecies Saphanus piceus ganglbaueri Branc- sik, 1886 is Balkan endemic. Six of recorded taxa [Cerambyx (Cerambyx ) cerdo cerdo Linnaeus, 1758, Morimus asper funereus (Mulsant, 1863), Agapanthia kirbyi (Gyllenhal, 1817), Cortodera flavimana flavimana (Waltl, 1838), Vadonia moesiaca and Saphanus piceus ganglbaueri ] are protected both nationally and internationally. The largest number of recorded taxa belong to Euro-Mediterranean (26) and Euro-Siberian (21) chorotypes. This suggests that both the habitats and climate in the City of Kragujevac and Central Serbia are increasingly assuming more sub-Mediterranean and subtropical features, primarily due to the negative human impact. Breuning Acalolepta griseovaria n. sp. Sehr langgestreckt. Fühler zweimal so lang wie der Körper, das erste Glied kurz und ziemlich dick, das dritte etwas länger als das vierte, viel länger als das erste. Untere Augenloben zweieinhalbmal so lang wie die Wangen. Kopf nicht punktiert. Halsschild quer, auf der Scheibe schütter, wenig fein punktiert, mit vier geraden Querfurchen, zwei vorderen und zwei rückwärtigen und breitem, konisch zugespitztem Seitendorn. Decken apikal sehr schwach abgestutzt, mäßig dicht, basal ziemlich grob, apikalwärts sehr fein punktiert. Dunkelbraun, hellbraun, leicht seidenglänzend tomentiert. Schildchen gelb tomentiert. Decken sehr dicht graugelb marmoriert, außer entlang einer schmalen basalen Querbinde und auf einer mittleren Querbinde, die nur spärlich marmoriert ist. Apikaidrittel des dritten Fühlergliedes, die apikale Hälfte des vierten Gliedes und die zwei apikalen Drittel der Glieder fünf bis elf dunkelbraun tomentiert. Länge: 9V2 mm; Breite: 2V2 mm. Type ( 6) von Indien: Anamalai Hills. Die Art reiht sich neben Acalolepta griseoplagiata Breun ein. Xenicotelopsis violacea Breun. (1947, Ark. f. Zool., XXXIX, A/6, p. 12) Von dieser Art war bisher nur das 6 bekannt. Das 9, von dem mir ein Stück von Tonkin: Dong-Van vorliegt, unterscheidet sich durch folgende Merkmale: Fühler um ein Viertel länger als der Körper, das dritte Glied etwas länger als das vierte, die unteren Augenloben kaum zweimal so lang wie die Wangen, die Basalhälfte der Fühlerglieder drei bis sieben, besonders unterseits, weiß tomentiert.
