1. I am entering this plea of guilty pursuant to North Carolina v. Alford and Washington v. Newton. 2. By entering an “Alford” plea, I am pleading guilty without making an admission of guilt. 3. I am allowing the Court to review the police reports or other evidence presented by the City of Everett in Everett Police Case No. DD ______, and acknowledge that the Court will review that evidence to determine if there is a factual basis for my plea, and determine from that review whether there is substantial evidence for a jury to find guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

4. I understand that if the Court accepts my “Alford” plea, that I will be convicted of the crime charged and that my record will reflect that I have been convicted of the crime charged, and that I face the same consequences of a conviction that would have resulted from a guilty plea or trial by jury or judge.

5. I also understand that an “Alford” plea does not change the result that I am giving up the important rights reflected in Paragraph 5 of my Statement of Defendant on Plea of Guilty to which this addendum is attached.

6. I make this plea knowingly and voluntarily.

7. No one has threatened harm of any kind to me or to any other person to cause me to make this plea.

8. My lawyer has explained to me, and we have fully discussed, all of the above paragraphs.
