Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure. Update Regarding Capital Expenditures for 2009 , Ltd. (“Intelsat”) is updating its expected 2009 total capital expenditures guidance to range from approximately $625 million to $675 million, as compared to the previously disclosed range of approximately $525 million to $575 million. Intelsat has announced in a press release issued on April 27, 2009 its plan to add a new satellite to its global fleet. The Intelsat 22 satellite is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2012 and will serve at the 72° East longitude orbital location over the Indian Ocean region. The Intelsat 22 satellite will also host a specialized UHF payload for the Australian Defence Force, as announced in a separate press release issued on April 27, 2009. The increase in Intelsat’s expected 2009 capital expenditure is primarily due to costs related to the construction of the Intelsat 22 satellite and increased costs related to a decision to substitute the launch provider for one of Intelsat’s 2009 launches. During the build and launch phases of the Intelsat 22 satellite, Intelsat expects to receive payments from the Australian Defence Force for certain elements of the program.

The press releases related to the Intelsat 22 satellite and the hosted payload program are attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and 99.2, respectively, and incorporated by reference herein.

Intelsat Announces Intelsat 22 Satellite to Provide Incremental Capacity in High-demand Regions

Pembroke, Bermuda, 27 April 2009

Intelsat Ltd., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services, announced today its plan to add a new satellite to its global fleet. The Intelsat 22 satellite is expected to be launched in Q1 2012, and will serve at the 72° East longitude orbital location over the Indian Ocean region.

The design of the Intelsat 22 payload is optimized to address high growth service areas, to provide continuity of services and to support Intelsat’s strategic initiatives. The satellite will supply 48 C- and 24 Ku-band 36 MHz equivalent transponders to network services and media customers in , Asia, Europe and the Middle East, providing incremental capacity for commercial and government applications. The Intelsat 22 satellite will feature custom-tailored beams to meet traffic patterns in these high-demand regions including C-band capacity for Africa and Asia, and an ability to cross-connect between the two regions. Its Ku-band payload will provide coverage of the Middle East and East Africa, with connectivity into Europe. The Ku-band payload will include a mobility beam bridging South East Asia, the Indian Ocean and the coastline of Africa that will support Intelsat’s global mobility strategy for maritime and aeronautical applications.

The Intelsat 22 satellite will also host a specialized UHF payload for the Australian Defence Force, as announced separately today. Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems will manufacture the satellite. The launch provider has not yet been announced.

Intelsat Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Stephen Spengler commented, “Intelsat continues to see strong growth in the Africa and Middle East regions and for connectivity between Asia and Africa. The 72º East longitude orbital location is ideal for addressing these requirements and for delivering follow on capacity for our network services and government customers operating in these regions and the satellite’s design will allow us to further progress our global maritime strategy.”

Australian Defence Force Contracts for Hosted Payload on New Intelsat Satellite

Pembroke, Bermuda, 27 April 2009

Intelsat, Ltd., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services, announced today that the Australian Defence Force (ADF) has agreed to purchase a specialized UHF communications payload aboard an Intelsat satellite scheduled for launch in 2012. As part of the “hosted payload” contract valued at approximately $167 million, Intelsat will arrange for the construction and integration of the UHF payload with its satellite. Under the agreement, Intelsat is expected to operate the ADF payload and provide related services for 15 years following the launch.

The payload will be aboard the Intelsat 22 satellite, which will be positioned at 72º East longitude, over the Indian Ocean region, providing a footprint well suited to the communications needs of the Australian military. The satellite, to be built by Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems, will be based on a Boeing 702B bus and will have 48 C-band and 24 Ku-band 36 MHz equivalent transponders, plus a UHF payload with eighteen 25-kHz channels. The UHF band is widely deployed for military satellite communications because of its adaptability to small, mobile terminals used by ground, sea and air forces. The ADF is purchasing part of the UHF payload and has an option to purchase the remainder.

“We are honored that the Commonwealth of chose Intelsat as its partner for this creative program,” said David McGlade, Chief Executive Officer of Intelsat. “This contract represents a milestone in the development of hosted payloads to support long-term government needs. As this ADF program demonstrates, every commercial satellite going into orbit creates opportunities for governments to deploy mission-critical capabilities, with significant cost benefits and quicker time to in-orbit operations.”

The ADF selected Intelsat to provide the satellite payload following a process of competitive source selection that began in August 2008. The UHF payload will be compliant with U.S. Department of Defense Mil-Std-188-181 and Volna Treaty (Russian) requirements for interoperability.

“ADF needed a cost-effective, near-term solution for reliable UHF tactical communications,” said Don Brown, Vice President for Hosted Payload Programs

at Intelsat General Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Intelsat. “By leveraging the commercial satellite capabilities of Intelsat, the ADF obtained good value for its investment in high-quality communications.”

Hosted payload programs offer government customers expedited access to space on an economical basis as compared to standalone military satellite programs. Intelsat routinely launches multiple satellites per year as it maintains its fleet of over 50 spacecraft that span the globe. By working with Intelsat, government planners have access to multiple launches annually in a variety of orbital locations, providing needed flexibility in terms of timing, location, and types and sizes of payloads.
