Moistboyz Iv Album Download Moistboyz Iv Album Download moistboyz iv album download Moistboyz iv album download. Self-professed "holdouts in a nation of pussies and jerk-offs." The press release for Moistboyz's previous album, III , has a number of illuminating things to say about the band, not least among them being, "The Moistboyz know this will offend the androgyny of the modern person, and the young intellectual. The Moistboyz are holdouts in a nation of pussies and jerk-offs." Since the Pitchfork readership is mainly comprised of modern androgynes, young intellectuals, pussies, and jerk-offs, it's safe to say that the only reason we're covering this record is because it's Dean Ween's cock-metal side project. And hey, don't be offended by this characterization of the Pitchfork audience; take it as a compliment: Add "Europeans" and "fags" to these pejoratives and you've got a pretty exhaustive list of things that anti-intellectuals use as shorthand to describe anyone goin' around all usin' their brains and stuff. So on first glance you'd have to be either incredibly stupid or terminally ironic to like this record. There is a third option, if those don't suit: There is a class of reasonably intelligent people that is attracted to all things willfully stupid and crude, a stance that seems to stem from a misconstrued notion of the value of transgression and a reaction against the intellectual posturing of academics. This is the portion of the population entirely responsible for Team America DVD sales, and Moistboyz IV is just one "Fuck yeah!" away from being its soundtrack. It sounds like the Hot Snakes trying to figure out whether they want to be Motörhead or the Scorpions, which isn't so bad. It's the lyrics that really grate, but if the slogans to be found on Urban Outfitters t-shirts are any indication, willful stupidity is still cool, so there's probably a market for it. Whether Moistboyz's gross-out schlock is earnest or satiric makes little difference: Either way, grim doings are afoot. It starts out okay, with three silly but entertaining anti-America screeds. "I Don't Give a Fuck Where the Eagle Flies", is pretty funny, and it's a damn sight better than the jingoistic John Ashcroft anthem it ripostes. "Uncle Sam and Me" celebrates the illusory power of rock in the face of fascism, with its snarled chorus of "Don't take my rock and roll/ Because it's all I am" offsetting its straightforwardly anti-patriotic verses. But by the time "Roy", the funny song about pedophilia rolls around, with "Everybody'd Fucked Her" hot on its heels, you start to miss Warrant, who at least had the class to obscure their misogyny with pastry metaphors, and Electric 6, whose self-skewering shtick sounded more like an indictment of the ugly American than a self-satisfied, anti-intellectual glorification of it. Moistboyz II. The second outing and first full-length from this Ween offshoot is more of the same blatantly offensive, hard rocking, and uproariously funny metal that the group displayed on their debut EP. Any record that opens with a track including the observation "just because you suck one dick, it doesn't mean you're gay," is obviously not going to appeal to everyone, but those who laugh will continue to chuckle for the extent of the record's ten humorously offensive rockers. Similar in style to Ween's heavy-handed thrashing rock efforts, Moistboyz take dirty guitar solos and dirty lyrics, all of which are combined in tracks that take on hippies, crank, and a general soft spot for sex, drugs, and rock & roll. Easily offended listeners might object to seemingly racist or homophobic views from the Mighty Whitey Lyricist, Dickie Moist, but anyone familiar with Mickey (Melchiondo) Moist's work in Ween should realize that the band is rocking out with their tongues planted firmly in their cheeks. Drunk, high, and obnoxious, Moistboyz don't care if you get their jokes or not. The seemingly dissolved side project served as an outlet for Melchiondo's off-center musical styles, and while the whole record certainly plays like a delusional case of Tourette's set to rock music, those that have followed the chaotic guitarist in the past will probably be able to find a few songs to sing along to at the end of a long night. Moistboyz III. Mickey Moist (aka Dean Ween) and Dickie Moist have created one mean and burley beast of an album that will have you conjuring up images of escaped convicts, white-trash crank-heads, shotgun racks, broken whiskey bottles, and bloodied noses in no time flat. On III the boys have enough piss n' vinegar running through their veins that they make prefab mean and scary acts like Disturbed or the pseudo-redneck posturing of Kid Rock look as weak and fake as they really are. Each song on III is played like these boys' lives depended on it, with their stripped-down, barebones, raunchy punk metal-blues that feel like ZZ Top's Tres Hombres, Hell Bent for Leather-era, Judas Priest, and Black Flag circa Damaged all rolled into one. III never lets up for a second, going simultaneously for your jugular and funny bone with such classic song titles as "Shitheel," "The Tweaker," "In the Valley of the Sun," "Great American Zero," and "I Am the Reaper." Lyrically, Dickie Moist is just as twisted, angry, and crass as ever, spouting out dirty jokes and images that, if you don't offend easily, are worth a good laugh or two. Moistboyz prove on III that, joke band or not, they've got the right riffs and enough attitude to hold their own against any hard rock band out there. You can also bet that one listen to III by any earthy, mellow fan of Ween will have them running straight for the hills quicker than you can say crystal meth. Moistboyz iv album download. Umphrey’s McGee Brendan Bayliss: Guitar, vocals Jake Cinninger: Guitar, vocals Joel Cummins: Keyboard, piano, vocals Andy Farag: Percussion Kris Myers: Drums, vocals Ryan Stasik: Bass After 18-plus years of performing more than 100 concerts annually, releasing nine studio albums and selling more than 4.2 million tracks online, Umphrey’s McGee might be forgiven if they chose to rest on their laurels. But then that wouldn’t be consistent with the work ethic demonstrated by the band, which consistently attempts to raise the bar, setting and achieving new goals since forming on the Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Indiana, in 1997. After releasing their eighth studio album, Similar Skin, the first for their own indie label, Nothing Too Fancy (N2F) Music (distributed by RED), the group continued to push the envelope and test the limits. The London Session, was a dream come true for the members having been recorded at the legendary Studio Two at historic Abbey Road. The stealth recording session yielded 10 tracks in a single day, proving once again, the prolific UM waits for no one. As a follow up to The London Session, the envelope pushing continues with the November 11th release of ZONKEY. Umphrey’s McGee has been arranging and performing original mashups live for over eight years. It was only a matter of when, not if, some of those innovative concoctions would find their way into a studio. An album of 12 unique mashups, conceived and arranged by the band, ZONKEY is as seamless as it bizarre, playful as it is razor sharp.

Without going into a spectacular amount of detail, Ween did not come out readymade as the dynamic outfit that took the stage in Chicago early in the millennium – it took a lot of work to get to that point. In the embryonic years (from their first show in 1987 until the release of Chocolate And Cheese in 1994), Ween had a line-up of just Gene and Dean who, along with a Yamaha tape deck stocked with pre-recorded drums and bass parts that they’d play to fill out the mixes on stage, were determined to win converts to the band’s banner by presenting a performance piece of playful and infectious perversion.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SEPTEMBER 2016 UMPHREY’S MCGEE ANNOUNCE THE NOVEMBER 11 RELEASE OF INNOVATIVE MASH-UP ALBUM ZONKEY RECORDED WITH LIVE INSTRUMENTATION AND NO SAMPLES USED COLLECTION INCLUDES MUSIC BY BEASTIE BOYS, BECK, FLEETWOOD MAC, METALLICA, MGMT, MICHAEL JACKSON, RADIOHEAD, TALKING HEADS, THE WEEKND, FRANK ZAPPA AND MANY MORE “Umphrey's McGee are a veteran act steeped in prog musicianship, metal power and genre-jumping inventiveness that thinks in terms of album-length statements.” - Rolling Stone Nashville, TN – Genre-defying progressive sextet Umphrey’s McGee announce the November 11 release of ZONKEY, a truly unique collection of 12 innovative mash-ups; conceived, arranged and performed in their entirety without the use of any samples. Always a band to challenge the boundaries of live performance, Umphrey’s McGee began a tradition eight years ago when the group started performing live mash-ups during their annual Halloween concerts. The event has become a fan favorite with sold out shows and highly coveted tickets. ZONKEY marks the first time the group has taken songs spanning 40+ years of popular music from 70’s Reggae to 80’s Pop to 90’s Metal and beyond, and recorded them in the studio. Only a band with the caliber of musicians such as Umphrey’s McGee could pull off these ambitious compositions that include “National Loser Anthem” (Radiohead’s "National Anthem" + Beck’s "Loser" + Phil Collins "In The Air Tonight”), “Can't Rock My Dream Face” (Michael Jackson’s "Rock With You" + The Weeknd’s "Can't Feel My Face" + Fleetwood Mac’s "Dreams"), “Strangletage” (Ted Nugent’s "Stranglehold" + Beastie Boys "Sabotage") or “Life During Exodus” (Talking Heads’ "Life During Wartime" + Bob Marley ‘s "Exodus" + Frank Zappa’s "City of Tiny Lites" + Chicago’s "25 or 6 to 4").

Roots Report: Milk and bread, baby! Okee dokee folks…We had a blizzard. Wasn’t that fun? This latest storm was like the Super Bowl for the local TV weather folks. They love to hype them. Milk and bread, baby — they must be getting kickbacks. I don’t mind the snow, but I don’t like the hype. Yes, it is a LOT of work to clean up, but it is sort of meditative — for me anyway. Snow is peaceful. Well, at least until the snow-blowers start up. They are obnoxious, but a necessity. I use one — cleaning the snow out of my driveway is akin to shoveling a swimming pool (and I always wear headphones to protect my ears and keep them warm). Snow can be a pain in the ass, and storms cancel plans. If you have intentions to see a show when it snows, you should check in before heading out. Sometimes you just have to stay home. But I always have plenty to do at home –I really don’t understand cabin fever. A few years back I was scheduled for a songwriter show and had to write a song about cabin fever. It was not one of my better songs. When I was younger I hated winter, but I’ve found a way to like it. Embrace the positive! Besides, winter lasts for three months. That’s not very long. You can all mock me during the summer when I complain about the heat. I hate summer! You know what gets me through the summer? Outdoor concerts.

THE MELVINS (USA) Album: «Hold It In» (Ipecac Recordings, VÖ: 10.10.2014) The Melvins return with a brand new album: „Hold It In“ To Be released 10 October via Ipecac Recordings. "Hold It In“ is a refreshing piece of fiction in a boring world of fact and bullsh*t," said Buzz Osborne. http://www.themelvins.net/ https://www.facebook.com/melvinsarmy The ever prolific Melvins return with „Hold It In“, their first studio album as a quartet since 2010's The Bride Screamed Murder. Joining Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover for the 12-song album are Butthole Surfers' guitar player Paul Leary and bass player JD Pinkus. The album was recorded in both Los Angeles and Austin earlier this year. "Paul is one of the best guitar players I have ever heard and Pinkus has an outside the box type of approach to both guitar and bass that you just have to let it ride. I can't believe this actually happened. I'm thrilled." "It's very rare you get a chance to work with three folks from the 'Break A Wish' foundation, all at the same time," said Pinkus. "I believe they'll remember their experience with me forever (or until they finally all lose their fight with S.I.D.S)." “Brass Cupcake is possibly my favorite track on „Hold It In“ We wrote this song with Pinkus and Paul in mind, once we knew this project was a go,” explained Dale Crover. “It's our version of what we think pop music should sound like.
