Annual Average Daily Traffic Flows – Table A Annual Average Daily Traffic Flows – Table A This table provides Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) flows on Oxfordshire’s roads. This is obtained using a network of Automatic Traffic Counters (ATC). Of these counters 50% are permanent while the reaming are used to gather data on an adhoc basis. Sites with 45% missing data or less have estimated data added. This is calculated using weekly percentage changes from sites with more than 95% data and selecting count sites located on similar road types. Please quote the reference number if you require further information from any of the automatic traffic counters. 1Where a road has no road number (unclassified) a location is given 2Roads maintained by Highways England. This data is taken from their Traffic Information Database ‘TRADS’ ◊ : > 40 Road/Location1 Site Description Easting Northing Ref: 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 weeks of data M402 County Boundary to J6 472600 196700 473/4 95012 93962 93415 95942 92108 - Aims and Scope Background 1.1 Oxfordshire’s draft Minerals and Waste Core Strategy was published for public consultation in September 2011. A concern was identified in the responses made by the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and North Wessex Downs AONB. This related to potential landscape impacts on the Protected Landscapes of minerals developments within two proposed broad areas for sand and gravel working at Cholsey and Caversham. This study identifies the nature of these impacts, and potential mitigation measures which could help reduce the impacts. 1.2 The impacts identified will refer both to the operational phase of any development, and restoration phases. Recommendations may help to identify potential restoration priorities, and mitigation measures. Aims 1.3 The aim of the study is to carry out an assessment of the potential landscape impacts of minerals development within two proposed areas for mineral working on the setting of Oxfordshire’s AONBs.

  • Guidance for the Completion of Rate Relief Applications Under Local Government Finance and Rating Act 1997 Rural Rate Relief
Guidance for the completion of rate relief applications under Local Government Finance and Rating Act 1997 rural rate relief These notes are aimed to assist you in completing the enclosed application form for rural rate relief. The scheme - there are two parts to the scheme. The first is a mandatory relief scheme that allows 100 per cent relief from rate liability from 1 April 2017. This can be awarded to the only post office, the only general store, the only public house, the only petrol filling station, or a food shop in a ‘designated rural settlement’ with a population not exceeding 3,000. The rateable value of the property at the beginning of the rating year must not exceed a specified amount. For post offices, general stores and food shops the rateable value must be no more than £8,500, whilst for public houses and petrol filling stations the rateable value must be no more than £12,500. The second part is a discretionary relief scheme. The Council may award up to 100 per cent discretionary relief, to any small rural business which is situated in a ‘designated rural settlement’, if the rateable value does not exceed £16,500. The Council has to be satisfied that the business is of benefit to the local community and that it is reasonable to award relief given the cost to the council taxpayers of the district. Definitions A post office is within the meaning of the Post Office Act 1953. A sole general store must sell food for human consumption (not just confectionery) and general household goods.
