Chiedetelo a Gigi Buffon, che ha sposato la Nazionale 13 anni fa e che il 10 settembre nella sua Torino (nella foto n°5 viene premiato dal presidente della Figc Abete) ha eggguagliato il record di 136 presenze in maglia azzurra di Fabio Cannavaro. Una storia d’amore iniziata nelle selezioni giovanili e sbocciata definitivamente in una fredda serata di ottobre in Russia, quando a soli 19 anni Gigi si alzò dalla panchina per sostituire Gianluca Pagliuca (foto n°1). Era l’andata dello spareggio di qualificazione al Mondiale del ’98 e la porta della Nazionale si sentì subito protetta da quel ragazzone dalla faccia pulita e dai riflessi formidabili.
