Join SFASA at 3 Super Cool Autism Awareness Month Events You can dance like nobody's watching at our Dance-a-thon for Autism this Saturday!

Saturday, April 14, 2018 2-6pm Cubberley Pavilion, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto All ages • All abilities • 100 dance prizes • photo booth • dance demos • snack bar

Our nonstop all-abilities dance party on the Bay Area's largest dance floor, raising money and having a blast for a dozen autism-serving nonprofits. Dance as little or as long as you want. Help raise funds online, or just have fun. Prizes for best dance outfits, best dance moves, best team outfits, best Dad dance, best Mom moves, best pairs dance, best Soul Train run, and more : )!

Register to dance: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3334458. Advance registration $10 per dancer, caregivers dance free. Scholarships available. Registration also available at the door for $15. You can join one of the nonprofit teams or dance as an individual. Either way is cool.

Ask friends to donate: https://www.crowdrise.com/DanceAThonforAutism. Through social media or personal contact, ask friends and family to support you or your team! Teams include: Abilities United, Autism Fun Bay Area, Bay School, Camping Unlimited, College of Adaptive Arts, De Colores Arts, Living Unlimited, Mochaa, Inc., Morgan Autism Center, Square Peg Ranch, Stanford Autism Center, Life Services Alternatives, and more. Or a general donation to be shared among all the teams. Meet our DJ, Christie James Christie James has been on air with KYLD, KISQ, and most recently at BIG 103.7. She's excited to be DJ at our Dance-a-thon!

Where is the par-tay? The Cubberley Pavilion is located in the far south end of the Cubberley Community Center, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. The driveway to the Pavilion lot is located opposite Montrose Avenue. Free parking available in the lots both in front of and behind the Pavilion.

Dig autism research? Join us for "An Evening with Alycia Halladay, PhD" this Friday

Alycia Halladay, PhD, is one of the most respected experts in the world of autism research. After serving as a research director for Autism Speaks, she was named Chief Science Officer for Autism Science Foundation, based in New York City. She is known for the depth and breadth of her knowledge about the state of autism research, for her award- winning Autism Science Foundation podcast, and for her tireless advocacy for pioneering research. At our dinner event Dr Halladay will share an update on many facets of autism research, and answer your questions. Tuesday, April 24 Join SFASA board members for noontime lunch or take your family or friends to dinner. Owner Brad Goldberg, an autism dad, hosts this special day in which his fabulous restaurant donates 15% of proceeds to SFASA.
