Song Words Song 1 Song Words Song 1: It’s a lovely day today – Chorus It’s a lovely day today, So whatever you’ve got to do, You’ve got a lovely day to do it in, that’s true. And I hope whatever you’ve got to do Is something that can be done by two, For I’d really like to stay. It’s a lovely day today, And whatever you’ve got to do, I’d be so happy to be doing it with you. But if you’ve got something that must be done, And it can only be done by one, There is nothing more to say– Except it’s a lovely day for saying, It’s a lovely day. Song 2: Somewhere Out There – Edward, Penny and Chorus. Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight Someone’s thinking of me and loving me tonight, Somewhere out there someone’s saying a prayer That we’ll find one another in that big somewhere out there. And even though I know how very far apart we are It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star; And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby It helps to think we’re sleeping underneath the same big sky. Somewhere out there if love can see us through, Then we’ll be together, somewhere out there, Out where dreams come true. Song 3: Time Warp – Juniors Lead Spider It’s a spider, in its webbing Coming from its hole. But listen closely, not for very much longer I’ve got to keep control. I remember doing the time-warp Dragging you to my den. The munchies would hit me and my lunch would be calling… All Let’s do the time-warp again. Let’s do the time-warp again. Lead Spider It’s just a jump to the left. All And then a step to the right. Lead Spider Put your hands on your hips. All You bring your knees in tight. But it’s the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane. Let’s do the time-warp again. Let’s do the time-warp again. Song 4: Everybody Needs Somebody – Chorus (‘Blues Brothers’) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHV0zs0kVGg (Spoken ) We’re so glad to see so many of you lovely people here at the reception for Edward and Penny tonight, and we would especially like to welcome all the representatives of the Headley community who have chosen to join us in the Headley Village Ballroom at this time. We certainly hope you’ll all enjoy the show, and please remember people, that no matter who you are, and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there are still some things that make us all the same. You, me, them, everybody, everybody. (Sung ) Everybody needs somebody Everybody needs somebody to love Someone to love (someone to love) Sweetheart to miss (sweetheart to miss) Sugar to kiss (sugar to kiss) yeah And I need you you you And I need you you you In the morning baby (you you you) When my soul’s on fire (you you you) When my soul’s on fire (you you you) Listen to me Sometimes I feel, like, I feel a little sad inside, When my baby mistreats me I never, never, never have a place to hide But I need you you you I need you you you… Song 5: I should be so lucky – Penny (& Chorus) Penny:– In my imagination there is no complication, I dream about you all the time; In my mind a celebration, the sweetest of sensations, Thinking you could be mine. In my imagination there is no hesitation, We walk together hand in hand; I’m dreaming, You fell in love with me, like I’m in love with you, But dreaming’s all I do, and now it’s all come true – Chorus:– I should be so lucky, Lucky, lucky, lucky, I should be so lucky in love; I should be so lucky, Lucky, lucky, lucky I should be so lucky in love. Repeat chorus 3 Song 6: You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone – Cat and Kate I got my ticket for the long way ’round Two bottle whiskey for the way And I sure would like some sweet company And I’m leaving tomorrow, what-do-ya say? When I’m gone, When I’m gone You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone You’re gonna miss me by my hair You’re gonna miss me everywhere, oh You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone. I’ve got my ticket for the long way ’round The one with the prettiest of views It’s got mountains, it’s got rivers, It’s got sights that give you shivers But it sure would be prettier with you. When I’m gone, When I’m gone You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone You’re gonna miss me by my walk You’ll miss me by my talk, oh You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone. Song 7: Heigh Ho – Dwarves, juniors & Chorus We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig in our mine the whole day through, To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig is what we like to do It ain’t no trick to get rich quick If you dig dig dig with a shovel or a pick In a mine! In a mine! In a mine! In a mine! Where a million diamonds shine! We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig from early morn till night We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig up everything in sight And while we dig we always sing For when you dig there ain’t a better thing Than a tune, than a tune You can whistle or can croon Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho. Heigh ho, heigh ho, to make your troubles go Just keep on singing all day long Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, For if you’re feeling low You positively can’t go wrong With a heigh, heigh ho. Song 8: At The Beginning – Kate & King Kate: We were strangers starting out on a journey Never dreaming what we’d have to go through Now here we are and I’m suddenly standing At the beginning with you King: No one told me I was going to find you Unexpected what you did to my heart When I lost hope you were there to remind me This is the start. Both: And… Life is a road and I want to keep going Love is a river I wanna keep flowing Life is a road now and forever Wonderful journey. I’ll be there when the world stops turning I’ll be there when the storm is through In the end I wanna be standing At the beginning with you. Kate: We were strangers on a crazy adventure King: Never dreaming how our dreams would come true Both: Now here we stand unafraid of the future At the beginning with you. And… Life is a road and I want to keep going Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing Life is a road now and forever Wonderful journey. 5 I’ll be there when the world stops turning I’ll be there when the storm is through In the end I wanna be standing At the beginning with you. Song 9: I Can’t Decide (modified words) – Penny & Joanna Penny: It’s so hard convincing people to like you If I stop now call me a quitter If lies were cats you’d be a litter. Joanna: Pleasing everyone isn’t like you Dancing jigs until I’m crippled Slug ten drinks I won’t get pickled. Joanna: I’ve got to hand it to you You’ve played by all the same rules Penny: It takes the truth to fool me Penny (to Kate on the bed) : And now you’ve made me angry. Penny: I can’t decide Whether you should live or die Oh, you’ll probably go to heaven Please don’t hang your head and cry No wonder why my heart feels dead inside It’s cold and hard and petrified Penny (to Joanna): Lock the doors and close the blinds She’s going for a ride. Music continues under Penny and Joanna’s discussion Joanna: I can decide Whether you should live or die Oh, you’ll probably go to heaven Please don’t hang your head and cry No wonder why my heart feels dead inside It’s cold and hard and petrified I’ve locked the doors and closed the blinds She’s going for a ride. Song 10: Moves like Jagger ( Minecraft Parody) – Juniors http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqKbzhrTXVw – with Christine Aguilera It’s deep underground past the bedrock But don’t dig straight down, you’ll regret that But now you feel brave, equipped with your spade To roam in these caves. Not looking for gold; this stuff’s purple Or so I’ve been told by some people I’ll find a few bricks where the two of these mix With a couple of clicks. This is all the prep that I go through Even if my tools are just make-do Moving to the Nether I’m moving to the Nether I’m moving to the Nether. Ten blocks is the magical total ’Cause that’s enough to build up my portal Moving to the Nether I’m moving to the Nether I’m moving to the Nether.

As a guitarist, A & R man, engineer, producer, songwriting partner of Otis Redding, Eddie Floyd and a dozen others and founding member of both Booker T. and the MG’s and The Mar-Keys, Cropper was literally involved in virtually every record issued by Stax from the fall of 1961 through year end 1970.Such credits assure Cropper of an honored place in the soul music hall of fame. As co-writer of (Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay, Knock On Wood and In The Midnight Hour, Cropper is in line for immortality. Born on October 21, 1941 on a farm near Dora, Missouri, Steve Cropper moved with his family to Memphis at the age of nine. In Missouri he had been exposed to a wealth of country music and little else. In his adopted home, his thirsty ears amply drank of the fountain of Gospel, R & B and nascent Rock and Roll that thundered over the airwaves of both black and white Memphis radio. Bit by the music bug, Cropper acquired his first mail order guitar at the age of 14. Personal guitar heroes included Tal Farlow, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Reed, Chet Atkins, Lowman Pauling of the Five Royales and Billy Butler of the Bill Doggett band.

California Institute of Technology Gary W. Cox California Institute of Technology David W. Galenson University of Chicago SOCIAL SCIENCE WORKING PAPER 417 February 1982 SUMMARY For historians or other social scientists who se data is available in discrete (nominal- or ordina l-level) form, recently developed "log-linear" mu ltivariate statistical techniques offer considerable advantages over commonsensical devices and are in many respects superior to such multivariate methods as mu ltiple classification analysis, weighted least-squares, and logit. Reana lyzing Thernstrom' s Boston data on geographic mobility. we explain the ideas beh ind and the procedures of log-linear analysis explicitly, step-by-step. Intended for people who are already somewhat familiar with Rtatistics ( say, through mul tiple regression) , the paper is self-contained and as simple as we could make it. Af ter reading it carefully , one should be well prepared to perform such an analysis himself. Substantively. we sketch a simple economic model which points to age as an important determinant of the decision to move or stay, and our results cast doubt on Thernstrom's tentatively offered notion of a "floa ting proletariat." After a while I said, “When did my mama die?” “Your mama came down with a high fever three days after you were born. She died when you were two weeks old. …” Though I was only four years old, I understood I should not ask Aunt Baba too many questions about my dead mama. Big Sister once told me, “Aunt Baba and Mama used to be best friends. A long time ago, they worked together in a bank in Shanghai owned by our grandaunt, the youngest sister of Grandfather Ye Ye. But then Mama died giving birth to you. If you had not been born, Mama would still be alive. She died because of you. You are bad luck.” ALSO AVAILABLE IN LAUREL-LEAF BOOKS: THE HERMIT THRUSH SINGS, Susan Butler BURNING UP, Caroline B. I'm Jenn White in Washington and today we celebrate Independence Day with a one hour tribute to an original American art form. We call it Red, White and The Blues. Blues music arose from the African American experience in the South. On the farms and in fields, enslaved Black people sang to keep their spirits up, spread the news and sometimes to relay secret messages. In church, they sang gospel music. At work, the blues. Blues music went on to become the basic DNA for jazz, R&B, rock and roll, rap and most every manner of modern music.
