Specifications ............................................................................. 47 This type of movement has been practiced for over 200 years, only it was done by hand. A practitioner would elevate a person’s feet and swing them back and forth to stimulate the circulation throughout the body. In 1992, a gentleman in Japan introduced a machine that would simulate the same movement. However, this type of machine was not introduced in the United States until 1997. These machines were designed for the Asian and Eastern market and could not withstand extended use by Westerners. Clark Enterprises introduced the first Exerciser Elite® machine in 1999 and has been the market leader of this type of equipment ever since. The Exerciser Elite is designed for Western physiques using the latest technology and manufacturing procedures. The internal components of the Exerciser Elite® will be described later in this manual. Continuously developing and improving the Exerciser since its inception, Clark Enterprises is confident that the Exerciser Elite® is the highest quality and safest machine, of this type, on the market today. Research done by Dr. Marvin Sackner M.D. has indicated a swinging type, passive exercise can be beneficial to the human body. The hundreds of positive results we have seen first hand, have more than convinced us that the simple concept of the Exerciser Elite® is capable of providing positive results to the complex human body. We guarantee you will enjoy using the Exerciser Elite® or your money back. 4 5 Why the Exerciser Elite® is superior satisfying. ACT LIKE A Lady, THINK LIKE A MAN Steve Harvey * WHAT MEN REALLY THINK A'BOUT LOVE, RELATIONSHIPS, INTIMACY, AND COMMITMENT I 've made a living for more than twenty years making people laugh about themselves, about each other, about family, and friends, and, most certainly, about love, sex, and relationships. My humor is always rooted in truth and full of wisdom the kind that comes from living, watching, learning, and knowing. I'm told my jokes strike chords with people be cause they can relate to them, especially the ones that explore the dynamics of relationships between men and women. It never ceases to amaze me how much people talk about relationships, think about them, read about them, ask about them even get in them without a clue how to move them forward. For sure, if there's anything I've discovered during my journey here on God's earth, it's this: (a) too many women are clueless about men, (b) men get away with a whole lot of stuff in relationships because women have never understood how men think, and (c) I've got some valuable information to change all of that. I discovered this when my career transitioned to radio with the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Back when my show was based in Los Angeles, I created a segment called Ask Steve, during which women could call in and ask anything they wanted to about relationships. Anything. At the very least, I thought Ask Steve would lead to some good comedy, and at .rst, that's pretty much what it was all about for me getting to the jokes.

  • “The Stories Behind the Songs”
“The Stories Behind The Songs” John Henderson The Stories Behind The Songs A compilation of “inside stories” behind classic country hits and the artists associated with them John Debbie & John By John Henderson (Arrangement by Debbie Henderson) A fascinating and entertaining look at the life and recording efforts of some of country music’s most talented singers and songwriters 1 Author’s Note My background in country music started before I even reached grade school. I was four years old when my uncle, Jack Henderson, the program director of 50,000 watt KCUL-AM in Fort Worth/Dallas, came to visit my family in 1959. He brought me around one hundred and fifty 45 RPM records from his station (duplicate copies that they no longer needed) and a small record player that played only 45s (not albums). I played those records day and night, completely wore them out. From that point, I wanted to be a disc jockey. But instead of going for the usual “comedic” approach most DJs took, I tried to be more informative by dropping in tidbits of a song’s background, something that always fascinated me. Originally with my “Classic Country Music Stories” site on Facebook (which is still going strong), and now with this book, I can tell the whole story, something that time restraints on radio wouldn’t allow. I began deejaying as a career at the age of sixteen in 1971, most notably at Nashville’s WENO-AM and WKDA- AM, Lakeland, Florida’s WPCV-FM (past winner of the “Radio Station of the Year” award from the Country Music Association), and Springfield, Missouri’s KTTS AM & FM and KWTO-AM, but with syndication and automation which overwhelmed radio some twenty-five years ago, my final DJ position ended in 1992.

You’re listening to Heat Rocks, and a hood episode of Heat Rocks, as we are taping in the kitchen. Every episode we invite a guest to talk to us about a heat rock, you know, fire, combustible, an album that bangs eternally. And today, we will be scrolling back together into the 1974 album, +Justments, by Los Angeles’ own Bill Withers. 00:00:31 Music Music “Ruby Lee” off the album +Justments by Bill Withers. Smooth, steady funk. Staring at shadows on the wall Wish I knew of someone I could call [Music fades out as dialogue resumes.] 00:00:47 Morgan Host In some ways, the story of Bill Withers’ career is a numbers game. He started with his first hit, released in his Jesus year, when he was 33. Over the span of his career, he’s been nominated for four Grammys, won three, this across eight albums. But when you ask most people about Bill Withers’ discography, they’ll more often than not reference just one of seven songs. You know ‘em. “Lean On Me”, “Ain’t No Sunshine”, “Lovely Day”, “Use Me”, “Grandma’s Hands”, “Who Is He (And What Is He To You)”. To be sure, all of those are jams, heat rocks. But the story of Bill Withers’ career has to include his story of a Black man growing up in coal mining country in the 40s.
