After the disappointment of relegation last season, the buzz of being a Posh Supporter is as exciting as it ever was, with the football club taking very positive action to gain promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt. Can Posh really achieve 3 Promotions in 4 Seasons??? The appointment of Gary Johnson as Manager late last season was the first sign of intent from Darragh. Gary‟s subsequent signings during the closed season, and the fantastic play we have seen on the pitch in the opening two games of this season has shown what a good choice Gary‟s appointment was. I have written an article about all the comings and goings within the Posh squad, later in this newsletter. The Posh Supporters‟ Trusts 8th Annual General Meeting, will take place on Monday 19th October. Full details are inside this newsletter, and I urge all members to join us there as we outline our plans for the future under the stewardship of a new Chairman. As well as the usual AGM formalities, Posh chief executive Bob Symns, and Posh commercial manager Alex Harris will be there for open discussion about the football club. Mick Robinson will also hold his traditional posh quiz. We will stage our 4th „New Posh Fans Initiative‟ in October when we play Swindon. Preparation for this is well under way, and you will see from John Henson‟s write up on page 11, that we need more volunteers for 2 hours on 12th September to make it another success for us and the football club. Please help if you possibly can. Keep It Posh! Steve said “to celebrate his retirement, he is splashing out and taking his wife Gail, on a 14 day all inclusive Cruise of Birkenhead”. Notification of ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The 8th Annual General Meeting of „The Posh Supporters‟ Trust‟ will take place at The Cherry Tree public house, Oundle Rd. Peterborough. 7-30pm on Tuesday 19 October 2010 NOMINATIONS for TRUST BOARD MEMBERS Under the Rules of The Posh Supporters‟ Trust the following members of the Board must resign from office by rotation: Richard Bellamy, Keith Jennings, Walter Moore. Richard, Keith and Walter are standing for re-election, plus there are 2 vacant seats on the current Board. Therefore there are 5 seats available for nominations. Barry Bennett is currently covering the Chairman position in an ‘Acting’ role therefore the position of Chairman is also open for nominations from the current Board. Adrian Woolley who has been on the Board for the last 18 months has been nominated and is to date, standing unopposed for the position of Chairman. The Posh Supporters‟ Trust has established a very healthy working relationship with the football club. We have, and will continue to implement various initiatives to introduce „New‟ fans and disadvantaged fans to London Rd, thereby helping the club progress and increase attendances. It is important for the football club, that we keep the Trust moving in the right direction and remain active with new initiatives. We have regular meetings with them to discuss any issues that affect the supporters and to seek to further improve the match-day experience for all fans. Finally, the Trust has accumulated a substantial bank balance to ensure that future support to the club is available should we need to help in the event of a crisis. With 5 positions on the Board available, we need new people to come forward and bring fresh Ideas and skills to the Board. In particular we would like to see younger members join your Board, to ensure that the needs and views of our younger supporters are considered at all times.

The second Research Facts & Key figures CAN 2012 showed a slight decrease due to the fact that National teams of Cameroon, Nigeria, Togo, Benin were not qualified for the 2012 edition (teams with more than 60% of players playing in Europe).
