Åland Hotels Curlingcenter Fri Entré - Välkommen! Welcome to Eckerö Kommun 3-6 October, 2019 - Åland Eyestone Trophy Åland Hotels Curlingcenter Fri entré - välkommen! Welcome to Eckerö Kommun www.eckero.ax 2 Welcome to Åland for the WCT season opener! Welcome, or, welcome back to Åland, the most western part of the Finnish archipelago, consisting of more than 6500 islands and sker- ries. Åland is famous for its rocks, the red granite rock archipelago is unique for the Åland Islands. This week though, the rocks we focus on is not the red granite but the curling stones in Åland Hotels Curling centre in Eckerö. The third edition of PAF Masters is the only Women’s World Curling Tour event in Scandinavia this season and also the season opener for many teams. Ålands curlingklubb is proud to, once again, welcome some of the best female curling teams in the world to one of the most beautiful places in the world. The young demographic touch of the competitor field witness the great future of our sport. Spectators, sponsors, Tv-viewers and club members are looking forward to a week of high-level curling and the chance to learn to know more about the participating teams and their strengths. We hope that you all get the chance to, between matches, get a glance of what Åland can offer in terms of local food, architecture, history, attractions etc. We, the organizing team, will do all we can to make your stay on Åland and PAF Masters memorable. Please grab any one of us and we will try to help you solve any matters occurring. Let’s get into the arena, let’s have fun and may the best team win!
