Ciencias de la Tierra y el Espacio, enero-junio, 2016, Vol.17, No.1, pp.112-122, ISSN 1729-3790 Sistemática de Heterobranchia (Gastropoda) en el registro fósil de Cuba Anabel Oliva-Martín (1) (1) Instituto de Geología y Paleontología / Servicio Geológico de Cuba, Cuba; [email protected] Recibido: septiembre 2, 2015 Aceptado: diciembre 20, 2015 Resumen Heterobranchia (subclase perteneciente a la clase Gastropoda) incluye a los únicos moluscos capaces de vivir en tierra firme. En esta revisión fue actualizada la sistemática y la clasificación de las especies de heterobranquios del registro fósil de Cuba, mediante la consulta de bibliografía especializada. La taxonomía fue verificada a todos los niveles y las especies registradas fueron organizadas evolutivamente de acuerdo a la sistemática actual. Esta actualización permitió obtener un conteo de 58 especies, agrupadas en 4 subgéneros, 31 géneros, 9 subfamilias, 20 familias, 17 superfamilias, 4 subórdenes y 3 órdenes; con 16 especies clasificadas cuya distribución se extiende desde el periodo Jurásico al Paleógeno y 30 distribuidas principalmente del Neógeno al Cuaternario. Aún sin identificar existe un grupo de fósiles de moluscos terrestres. Cuatro especies fueron ubicadas taxonómicamente como corresponde, pero no se encontraron referencias acerca de su nomenclatura. Este trabajo representa la introducción de los paleogasterópodos en la sistemática y la clasificación de los moluscos de Cuba en general. NIR images were recorded in both incident and trans- mitted illumination. In most cases, shell and periostracal pigmentation observed in the VIS was com- pletely translucent in the NIR, while its contrast was enhanced in the NUV. Exceptions to the above rule fit into four main categories. (1) Snails with green or tan shells or periostraca, presumably func- tional as camouflage among vegetation, were often highly absorbing in the NUV, thus matching the optical characteristics of green vegetation in this range. (2) Pigmented spiral stripes in the shells of several Camaenidae and Helicidae were adjacent to nonpigmented areas that display a heightened reflectivity and reduced translucence in the VIS and NIR. This enhanced the contrast of the colour pattern in the VIS, but appeared to lack functions in the NIR. -

La información sobre las presas y los depredadores de los amblipígidos es escasa, en gran parte dispersa y, a veces, olvidada por el aracnólogo. Phrynus barbadensis es una araña látigo neotropical ampliamente distribuida, pero su historia natural es poco conocida. El objetivo principal de esta contribución se refiere a las presas, los depredadores, el esfuerzo reproductivo y las preferencias de microhábitats de P. barbadensis en una localidad colombiana. Dos investigadores llevaron a cabo el trabajo de campo durante cuatro expediciones de seis días cada una, entre junio y noviembre de 2017. Dos casos observados de depredación intragremial se relacionaron con la araña Scytodes longipes Lucas (Araneae: Scytodidae) y la araña látigo gigante Heterophrynus caribensis Armas, Torres-Contreras & Álvarez (Phrynidae: Heterophryninae). También se registra un nuevo caso de un molusco como presa de las arañas látigo. -

ABSTRACT The annotated checklist on the extant terrestrial mollusks from Hispaniola Island based on literature from 1758 to 2020 is here presented. We report 612 taxa distributed in three subclasses, 129 genera and 39 families. The most representative families are Annulariidae with 26 genera and 233 species, and Urocoptidae with 14 genera and 104, respectively. As more information is produced from the different families reported, these numbers can vary considerably. Keywords: terrestrial mollusks, Hispaniola, bibliographic review. RESUMEN Se presenta la lista anotada de los moluscos terrestres vivientes de la isla de La Hispaniola basada en literatura desde 1758 a 2020. Se reportan 612 táxones distribuidos en tres subclases, 129 géneros y 39 familias. Las familias más representativas son Annulariidae con 26 géneros y 233 especies, y Urocoptidae con 14 y 104, respectivamente. En la medida que se produzca más información de las diferentes familias, estos números pueden variar considerablemente.
