Introducing philosophy in schools represents a commitment to balancing the development of logical and creative thinking, currently exercised only orally. In the present study, the focus is on writing. Firstly, the value of authentic pupil writings is underscored. The pupils and students studied wrote texts for “Adolescence et Société”, a magazine produced by researchers. 100 students’ works, written by philosophizing students in fourth-year college in France, culled from the PreCPhi/Philosophemes Corpus (1,300 texts collected from 43 classrooms) were studied in order to measure the progress of philosophizing students between a pre-test and a post-test following the introduction of a pedagogical tool that unites Art with Philosophy, Philo & Carto.

Univers?» Une sélection d’œuvres de May Angeli Glen Baxter Enki Bilal Dado Gilbert Fastenaekens Gabriela Gonzalez-Segura Eric Helluin Richard Texier Raymond Waydelich May Angeli Est-ce parce qu’elle est née (à Clichy, le 6 août 1937) d’une mère ca- tholique de noblesse mi- bretonne, mi-gasconne, et d’un père juif ash- kénaze tchèque que May Angeli est si attentive aux métissages cultu- rels? Son œuvre, en tous cas, est un bel exemple de tolérance et d’ou- verture d’esprit. Ancienne élève de l’école des Métiers d’art de Paris, elle fit ses premiè- res armes aux éditions de la Farandole puis au Père Castor , travaillant alors à la gouache, à l’encre et à l’aquarelle et mélangeant parfois ces différentes techniques qu’elle continue à utiliser de façon occasion- nelle. Mais en 1980, elle fait un premier stage de gravure à Urbino qui fut pour elle une révé- lation. C'est Régine Lilensten, fondatrice et directrice du Sorbier qui, la première, fut séduite par la vigueur et l’audace des gravures de May Angeli. De là l’édition des Histoires comme ça de Kipling, puis du Joueur de flûte de Hamelin , ou encore de Qui perd la boule? où elle expéri- mente avec bonheur la linogravure qu’elle utilise largement dans ses animations scolaires. Elle reviendra, pour Thierry Magnier (exceptionnel Chat dont l’absence de texte et l’écono- mique trichromie renforcent l’énergie graphique) ou pour Bilboquet, Syros et Grimm Press, aux xylographies dont elle possède une rare maîtrise, éditant parallèlement des livres d’artis- tes imprimés avec les prestigieux caractères de l’Imprimerie nationale.
