This year, the exhibition celebrates the 9th anniversary of the partnership between Opera Gallery and the Grand Prix Singapore Season. The highly successful Masters exhibition has achieved a renowned reputation thanks to its stellar collection of Modern Masters and Contemporary artists. During the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix Season, world-class artworks will once again grace the luxurious space of our gallery and the public boardwalk of Orchard Road to be admired and appreciated. Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, Opera Gallery is proud to present the 2016 edition of its Masterpiece exhibition - ‘Masters of Distinction’. As a testimonial to artistic distinction, this year’s exhibition features an extraordinary assembly of artists, each of them being an eminent representation of their artistic pursuit. In a visual journey of artistic excellence spanning across the 20th century till present times, ‘Masters of Distinction’ embraces its essence through an exclusive presentation of distinguished artists. In the tradition of the Masterpiece collection, the ‘Masters of Distinction’ exhibition presents visual treasures by Modern Masters at the pinnacles of their career and affirms their place in the realm of distinction. Featuring prominent paintings and sculptures by acclaimed Modern Masters such as Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, Marc Chagall and Salvador Dalí, these works of art reflect the artistic diversity and accomplishment of these renowned Masters. At the forefront of art trend and development, this exhibition brings together an impressive league of the most famous and influential artists of our current time. Showcasing the creative works by celebrities of Contemporary art from Niki de Saint Phalle, Robert Indiana, to Manolo Valdés and Dashi Namdakov, these carefully selected works of art epitomise Modern and Contemporary art. It is an honour to present this extraordinary exhibition to Singapore and to perpetuate the tradition of each and every annual Masterpiece exhibition held at Opera Gallery, celebrating the beauty of art and the triumph of these Masters’ achievement of distinction.
