Woodland Trust boundary Yo ur dedicated tree(s) is/are located here. Home Farm Permissive footpath Entrance by Burkham, Bentworth, Hampshire Spain lane As one of the largest native woodland creation sites in southern England, Home Farm is situated in rural north- and is split into two by a minor road running north to south from Burkham to Bentworth. It is a mixture of maturing woodland (11ha), most of which is secondary with the exception of Wigdell Copse, an ancient semi-natural woodland. Tree species that you can expect to see in this wood include oak, ash, beech, holly, field maple, silver birch, whitebeam, wayfaring tree, hazel, hawthorn, blackthorn, guelder rose, spindle and dogwood. The meadows were originally sown with grass and wildflower mix, with variable success. Most of the grassland has moderately fertile ground, but there are some areas where chalk grassland could develop on the thinner soils. We have sown extra wildflower seed here to improve biodiversity.

Home Farm is located 1.6km north of Bentworth, just to the west of the A339 at . It lies on both sides of a country lane between Bentworth and Burkham. A public footpath to Bradley runs adjacent to the wood on the west side. There are no public rights of way over Home Farm but free public access is permitted on foot. An extensive network of permissive paths is maintained (mown three times a year) within most deer fenced plantations. Access is via kissing gates. The paths are mostly grassy and liable to become muddy when wet. The site is fairly flat with no difficult slopes. Several circular walks of varying lengths can be undertaken from the car park or other access points.

WHEN VISITING THE WOOD PLEASE NOTE Track In order to keep our woods as natural as possible, individual trees are not marked in any way and the dedication area is not identified on the ground.
