Euer Fantasy Filmfest-Team » For everyone who fears the festive spirit, dreads the family meetings and hates all the Christmas shopping. For everyone who would rather hide away in a cozy theater and watch wholesome horror films, we present the Fantasy Filmfest WHITE NIGHTS! Just as promised we will get your mind of the Christmas blues by showing you some of the highlights of this autumn‘s film festival landscape on the big screen. It is a little festive when you think about it. Old friends will be there, like Kurt Russel in BONE TOMAHAWK and Steve Guttenberg in LAVALANTULA, as well as the youngsters, Emma Roberts and Kiernan Shipka who both shine in FEBRUARY. And in between all the blood and the horror you will find a few surprises in the form of visionary storytelling and groundbreaking style. ’tis the season! Merry Xmas! Öffnet also euer Herz für BASKIN!

  • Multiple Entity Reconciliation
Multiple Entity Reconciliation LAVINIA ANDREEA SAMOILA˘ Master's Degree Project Stockholm, Sweden September 2015 KTH Royal Institute of Technology VionLabs, Stockholm Master Thesis Multiple entity reconciliation Lavinia Andreea Samoil˘a Supervisors at VionLabs: Alden Coots Chang Gao Examiner, KTH: Prof. Mihhail Matskin Supervisor, KTH: Prof. Anne H˚akansson Stockholm, September, 2015 Abstract Living in the age of "Big Data" is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, the raw data can be analysed and then used for weather predictions, user recommendations, targeted advertising and more. On the other hand, when data is aggregated from multiple sources, there is no guarantee that each source has stored the data in a standardized or even compatible format to what is required by the application. So there is a need to parse the available data and convert it to the desired form. Here is where the problems start to arise: often the correspondences are not quite so straightforward between data instances that belong to the same domain, but come from different sources. For example, in the film industry, information about movies (cast, characters, ratings etc.) can be found on numerous websites such as IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes. Finding and matching all the data referring to the same movie is a challenge. The aim of this project is to select the most efficient algorithm to correlate movie related information gathered from various websites automatically. We have implemented a flexible application that allows us to make the performance comparison of multiple algorithms based on machine learning techniques. According to our experimental results, a well chosen set of rules is on par with the results from a neural network, these two proving to be the most effective classifiers for records with movie information as content.
