BAKER Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 3AB, United Kingdom, [email protected] In Phytotaxa 197 (Baker 2015), I placed the rattan genera Ceratolobus Blume (in Schultes & Schultes 1830: lxxx), Dae- monorops Blume (in Schultes & Schultes 1830: 1333) and Pogonotium Dransfield (1980: 763) in synonymy with Calamus Linnaeus (1753: 325). Subsequently, two nomenclatural errors and one overlooked synonym have been drawn to my atten- tion. These are corrected here. Calamus luteus W.J.Baker, nom. nov. Daemonorops aurea Renuka & Vijayak., Rheedea 4: 122 (1994), Calamus aureus (Renuka & Vijayak) W.J.Baker, Phytotaxa 197: 141 (2015), nom. illeg., non Calamus aureus Reinw. ex Mart., Hist. Nat. Palm. 3: 341 (1853). Note:—In making a new combination for Daemonorops aurea Renuka & Vijayak., a homonym, Calamus aureus (Renuka & Vijayak) W.J.Baker, was created (Baker 2015), Calamus aureus Reinw. ex Mart. having been overlooked. To correct this, a replacement name, Calamus luteus W.J.Baker, is made here. Calamus jenkinsianus Griff., Calcutta J. Nat. Hist. 5: 81 (1845). Daemonorops jenkinsiana (Griff.) Mart., Hist. Nat. Palm. 3: 327 (1853), Palmijuncus jenkinsianus (Griff.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen. Pl. 2: 733 (1891). Calamus nutantiflorus Griff., Calcutta J. Nat. Hist. 5: 79 (1845). Daemonorops nutantiflora (Griff.) Mart., Hist. Nat. Palm. 3: 326 (1853). Palmijuncus nutantiflorus (Griff.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen. Pl. 2: 732 (1891). Calamus margaritae Hance, J. Bot. 12: 266 (1874). Palmijuncus margaritae (Hance) Kuntze, Revis. Gen. Pl. 2: 733 (1891). Daemonorops margaritae (Hance) Becc., Rec. Bot. Surv. India 2: 220 (1902). Daemonorops pierreana Becc., Rec. Bot. Surv. India 2: 220 (1902). Daemonorops schmidtiana Becc., Bot. Tidsskr. 29: 98 (1909). Daemonorops jenkinsiana var. tenasserimica Becc., Ann. Roy. Bot. Gard. (Calcutta) 12(1): 44 (1911). Daemonorops margaritae var. palawanica Becc., Ann. Roy. Bot. Gard. (Calcutta) 12(1): 57 (1911). Note:—The synonymy provided in Baker (2015) for Calamus jenkinsianus Griff. omitted a synonym, Daemonorops margaritae var. palawanica Becc. Revised, complete synonymy for this species is given here. Calamus hallierianus (Becc. ex K.Heyne) W.J.Baker, comb. nov. Ceratolobus hallierianus Becc. ex K.Heyne, Nutt. Pl. Ned.-Ind.: 93 (1913). Ceratolobus discolor Becc., Malesia 3: 63 (1886), Calamus ceratolobus W.J.Baker, Phytotaxa 197: 150 (2015), nom. illeg., non Calamus discolor Mart., Hist. Nat. Palm. 3: 212 (1838). Note:—A superfluous name was created when a replacement name, Calamus ceratolobus W.J.Baker, was erected (Baker 2015) while including in synonymy an existing name, Ceratolobus hallierianus, which was already available for a new combination in Calamus. To correct this, a new combination, Calamus hallierianus (Becc. ex K.Heyne) W.J.Baker, is made here.
