The generating station will have a total installed generation capacity of 3,100MW and is located entirely in Wales. Therefore the project is within section 15 (3)(A) of the Planning Act 2008 and requires a development consent order.

6. Location or Route of the Development Proposal

[Six sites form the overall Wylfa Newydd DCO Project. Each site is located on the Isle of Anglesey in north Wales in |the administrative area of Isle of Anglesey County Council.
|The Wylfa Newydd Development Area is located at Wylfa, south of the existing Wylfa Power Station and east of |the village of Cemaes. The A5025 road defines the south-east boundary. To the south and west the site abuts lagricultural land.
|The Off-Site Power Station Facilities site is located 450m north-east of Llanfaethlu village. The site is currently occupied by an existing business. It is bounded to the west by the A5025, residential and storage buildings to the north and farmland to the south and east.
There are five sections ofA5025 Off-line Highway Improvements, proposed along the A5025 at Valley, Llanfachraeth, Llanfaethlu, Cefn Coch and the Wylfa Newydd Development Area junction north ofTregele.
The Park and Ride facility is proposed in agricultural land near Dalar Hir, north of Llanfihangel, close to Junction 4 of the ASS.
The Logistics Centre is proposed to the north-west of the Parc Cybi employment area to the south of the ASS approximately 2km south of Holyhead.
Three ecological compensation sites are included in the application. These are located at: Ty Du, north of the A5025 between Cemaes and Bull Bay; Cae Canol-dydd, immediately east of B5110 and 1 .3km west of Talwrn; and Cars Gwawr, 250m east of Talwrn

Planning Applications (Town and Country Planning Act 1990) -
Two planning applications have been submitted for elements of the Wylfa Newydd Project not within the scope of the DCO application. A planning application for Site Preparation and Clearance works was submitting to Isle of Anglesey County Council on 10 November 2017 and was under consideration when the DCO application was submitted. A planning application for A5025 On-line Highways Improvements was submitted to Isle of Anglesey ;ounty Council on 17 November 2017 and was under consideration when the DCO application was submitted. iMarine Licences (Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009) -
|Two Marine Licences are required for marine construction and dredging and disposal works. Both licences will be isubmitted at the same time as the application for the DCO. These are being discussed and progressed with NRW.
