Následující text zpracovává nejen jeho první projevy, ale i důležité milníky v čele s Black Sabbath, které metal formovaly. Chronologicky sestavuje obraz jeho zrodu a postupného rozvoje v další nekonečné množství subžánrů. Tyto odnože jsou nastíněny jak jejich charakteristikami, tak nejvýznamnějšími zástupci. Práce je do určité míry zaměřena i na vliv žen v tomto stylu. Proto se snaží nalézt stopy hudebnic či čistě ženských hudebních skupin v daných subžánrech, a na konci pátrání shrnout zjištěné poznatky. Through canonization and Historical documentation, white male dominance has been ensured, obscuring contributions made by white female performers and erasing black, Indigenous, and women of colour (BIWoC) from the genre. Utilizing feminist critical discourse analysis (feminist CDA) to examine texts by canonized male bands reveals the discursive parameters of ideal heavy metal subjectivity (IHMS). Exploration of texts created by white female performers, including a case study of Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, isolates the necessity for white female performers to reproduce the discourses of IHMS in order to secure their participation in the culture, further contributing to the erasure of BIWoC performers. However, feminist CDA also reveals transformative potential within these texts to de-centre IHMS as the default subject position and shows white women’s agency and resiliency as performers.

MaYaN Biography 2016 Dutch Symphonic Death Metallers MaYaN have released their second full length album 'Antagonise' in 2014 through Nuclear Blast. The lies and propaganda from governments all over the world, the spying, a so called 'war on terror', the insinuated 'freedom' we get just to keep us under control… This translated through Mark's sharp view and the band's characteristic style of symphonic progressive (death) metal for maximum expression results in the perfect and most powerful and confronting album possible to date. With their first release 'Quarterpast' (2011) MaYaN got instant recognition in the media as has proven by the excellent reviews, in-depth interviews with many provoking questions about the band‘s point of view and raving reactions of fans throughout the world.
