XXX 1,294 Ethnolinguistic Unengaged* Unreached People Groups (sorted by Country) I. What is this list? The list on the pages that follow is made up of those ethnolinguistic people groups where there are *no KNOWN full-time workers reported at the time of this printing. All research information is changing rapidly. We recognize that there may be groups that have not been included in this list. We have not included "Christian Adherents" groups though some of these groups may need to be re-evangelized. Groups from cultural and nominal Christian backgrounds are included on the CPPI index found at www.peoplegroups.org. Additional data, profiles, and resources are also available at www.joshuaproject.net. II. This list focuses on ethnolinguistic UNENGAGED, Unreached People Groups. We acknowledge that there are many unreached people groups that still need many more workers for the harvest. The purpose of this list is to focus on those groups which have no KNOWN workers engaging in full-time evangelism and church planting. III. We value your updated information. If you know of any information that needs to be updated on this list, please e-mail us at [email protected]. We are tracking the number of known believers, the number of churches, the number of full-time workers, and other related information. IV. Where did this information come from? The list of groups is a subset of information provided by the International Mission Board, Joshua Project, and the Center the Study of Global Christianity. The number of workers, churches planted, and estimated believers we reflect in our information come from over 1,500 churches and organizations involved in the Finishing The Task (FTT) network. The FTT network is based on the Matthew 24:14 passage that the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached to all "nations" and the Matthew 28 command of our Lord to, “make disciples of all nations.” FTT believes the first step to being obedient to that command is to encourage full-time workers to go to every group. Progress on previously Unengaged People Groups as of January 2016 Many mission organizations and churches have prioritized the sending of workers to previously Unengaged People Groups. The Finishing The Task Network reports the following since November, 2005. 2,058 Groups engaged 23,254 Full-time vocational workers sent by 348 engaging ministries 68,085 Bi-vocational and part-time workers 100,811 Churches planted 2,619,604 Reported believers Many more workers are needed for these groups, but we praise God for His blessings thus far.     Women’s Empowerment at the Frontline of Adaptation Emerging issues, adaptive practices, and priorities in Nepal ICIMOD Working Paper 2014/3 1 About ICIMOD The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, ICIMOD, is a regional knowledge development and learning centre serving the eight regional member countries of the Hindu Kush Himalayas – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan – and based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Globalization and climate change have an increasing influence on the stability of fragile mountain ecosystems and the livelihoods of mountain people.     Online Appendix for Harald Hammarstr¨om& Mark Donohue (2014) Some Principles of the Use of Macro-Areas Language Dynamics & Change Harald Hammarstr¨om& Mark Donohue The following document lists the languages of the world and their as- signment to the macro-areas described in the main body of the paper as well as the WALS macro-area for languages featured in the WALS 2005 edi- tion. 7160 languages are included, which represent all languages for which we had coordinates available1. Every language is given with its ISO-639-3 code (if it has one) for proper identification. The mapping between WALS languages and ISO-codes was done by using the mapping downloadable from the 2011 online WALS edition2 (because a number of errors in the mapping were corrected for the 2011 edition). 38 WALS languages are not given an ISO-code in the 2011 mapping, 36 of these have been assigned their appropri- ate iso-code based on the sources the WALS lists for the respective language. This was not possible for Tasmanian (WALS-code: tsm) because the WALS mixes data from very different Tasmanian languages and for Kualan (WALS- code: kua) because no source is given. 17 WALS-languages were assigned ISO-codes which have subsequently been retired { these have been assigned their appropriate updated ISO-code. In many cases, a WALS-language is mapped to several ISO-codes. As this has no bearing for the assignment to macro-areas, multiple mappings have been retained. 1There are another couple of hundred languages which are attested but for which our database currently lacks coordinates.

Hebert Bergen University College, Norway Abstract This article reports on an applied ethnomusicological and historical study that guided the development of a new music curriculum for schools in Guyana, a multi- ethnic and postcolonial nation in Latin America. We establish our rationale with an introduction to Guyana and the status quo of its school music education, then embark on examining the socio-historical background: from Indigenous Peoples and the European settlement of colonial Guyana, to the arrival of Africans as slaves, and indentured servants from Portugal, China and East India. The diverse heritage of post-colonial Guyana, including distinctive creolization, is reviewed as a prelude to discussion of local music traditions and their representation in schools.

Northeast India comprises the states of Arunāchal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghālaya, Mizoram, Nāgāland, Sikkim and Tripura. It is connected to the rest of India through a narrow corridor of the state of West Bengal. It shares borders with the countries of Nepal, China, Bhutan, Myanmar (Burma) and Bangladesh. The mostly hilly and mountainous region is home to many hill tribes, with their own distinct languages and culture.
