• a staffed and well-lit concourse • better passenger comfort and security • live bus departure displays • retail space, including a newsagent • accessible toilets, baby change and Changing Places* facilities • improved pedestrian links to the town centre • secure, covered cycle parking.

It supports the economic growth of the town and helps people to get to and from their places of work as well as Wigan’s great shops, markets, restaurants and bars in a modern, safe and welcoming environment.

Funding for the Wigan Bus Station development has been supported by Central Government through the Local Growth Deal Programme.
