Ceci est donc un concentré sur quelques fonctionnalités relues et corrigées. QuickTime est un ensemble de modules logiciels et d’applications qui constitue une plateforme multimédiaQuickTime est développé par Apple depuis 1991 et a été le premier système multimédia pour l’informatique. QuickTime a été développé sur Mac et ensuite au fur et à mesure des différentes versions l’ensemble des outils et fonctionnalités ont été porté sur la plateforme Windows. Aujourd’hui il existe 3 grandes plateformes multimédias disponibles pour MacOS et Windows : RealVideo et RealAudio (Real Networks) : RV Windows Media (Microsoft) : WM QuickTime (Apple) : QT QuickTime est la moins répandue des plateformes mais est particulièrement bien placée dans le monde Mac et chez les créateurs de multimédia qui l'utilisent pour créer les médias de bases qui seront ensuite diffusés en WM ou RV. ARCHITECTURE QuickTime est intimement lié au système. La partie visible (QuickTime Player notamment) n’est que la partie émergée de l’iceberg. En permanence, quantité de vos logiciels font appel à QuickTime pour lire, afficher ou enregistrer des images, du son et des films. Ainsi iTunes, iMovie, iPhoto ou même SimpleText s'appuient sur QuickTime. QuickTime a été conçu pour gérer tout contenu multimédia et pour s’enrichir. La base d’un fichier QuickTime est la piste. Un film vidéo (une bande annonce par exemple) est composé d’au moins 2 pistes : une piste vidéo (images) et une piste audio (son). Chaque piste est stockée dans un format propre le plus souvent compressé, on appelle ce format un codec (COmpresseur/DECompresseur). Le tout est enregistré dans un format (format QuickTime natif : .mov). Exemple de pistes gérées : Vidéo, ce sont une succession d’images à une vitesse donnée (ex : 25 images/seconde) Audio, un flux sonore numérisé Film, cette piste contient des informations (texte) sur le film lui-même (comme le titre, le copyright, le créateur, la date de parution…) Musique, piste au standard MIDI Texte, des éléments de textes synchronisés (sous-titre notamment) Et bien d’autres encore L’architecture modulaire et la gestion des contenus par piste permet à QuickTime d’intégrer à chaque génération de nouvelles fonctionnalités, de gérer de nouveaux médias et d’apporter plus de codec pour compresser de décompresser les flux Audio et Vidéo. FONCTIONNALITES QuickTime permet aux applications Mac de manipuler des éléments multimédias (vidéos, images, sons, animation…) par le biais de modules (ou extensions). QuickTime inclus aussi 3 logiciels de bases : QuickTime Player : c’est le logiciel pour jouer ou manipuler les élements multimédias (films) aussi bien depuis votre disque dur en local, qu'au travers un résau au sur internet Picture Viewer : le logiciel dédié à la visualisation des images fixes (photos). QuickTime browser plug-in : modules pour le navigateur internet afin d’exploiter QuickTime pour les éléments multimédias des sites web (Internet Explorer, Netscape...). QuickTime c’est aussi un format de fichier (extension ".mov") qui encapsule des flux audio/vidéo. Il existe aussi (chez Apple) des logiciels plus spécialisés qui ne sont pas inclus dans le package de base mais qui s'appuient fortement sur l'architecture QuickTime : QuickTime Pro, une extension du logiciel QT Player permettant à l’utilisateur d’éditer les fichiers multimédias (extraire, découper et sauvegarder sous d’autres formats) QuickTime Streaming Server, une plateforme logicielle multi-plateforme permettant la diffusion de contenu QuickTime sur internet en direct par un serveur. Technologie gratuite et dont les sources sont publics. QuickTime Broadcaster, lié à QuickTime Streaming Server; permet la diffusion de flux vidéo/audio en direct iMovie, montage de film DV à partir de caméra numérique grand public iTunes, écoute de musique (jugebox) iDVD, création de DVD grand public iPhoto, base de données de photos grand public avec votre appareil numérique iChat, dialogue en direct via internet (audio et vidéo) GarageBand, création musicale grand public Final Cut Express, montage DV professionnel Final Cut Pro, montage vidéo professionnel tout formats (DV, HD, SD, etc) DVD Studio Pro, création de DVD professionnel Shake, effets spéciaux vidéo professionnel Motion, effets spéciaux vidéo temps réel SoundTrack, montage audio de boucle Logic Express, création audio professionnel LIRE DES FILMS AVEC QUICKTIME PLAYER QuickTime Player est un logiciel installé avec QuickTime et qui permet de lire des films vidéo, écouter de la musique et accéder à des films ou télévision sur internet. Il existe une version "Pro" de ce logiciel qui permet en outre d'éditer, de convertir des films; très utile pour les créateurs de multimédias. Lorsqu'un film est ouvert avec QuickTime Player, vous disposez d'une fenêtre (film) : pour une musique L'inferface est composée en haut d'une zone pour l'affichage du film, d'une barre de lecture indiquant la durée et la position de lecture dans la séquence; d'un barre-graphe pour le son. Au dessous à gauche le curseur de réglage du volume sonore; au centre les boutons de lecture, pause, avance et retour ; à droite un bouton pour afficher le flux QuickTime de Apple : informations en ligne sur des contenus multimédias a caractère commerciaux. Lors de la lecture d'un flux en direct sur internet, la durée n'étant pas limitée, la barre de lecture/temps n'indique plus toujours la durée. Pour commencer à utiliser QT Player il vous faut disposer de séquences à lire, au choix : séquence sur son Mac (disques, cd, zip...) séquence sur internet flux en direct sur internet (radio, télé) LECTURE AVANCEE, INFOS ET REGLAGES La tête de lecture Pour la lecture vous pouvez déplacer manuellement le curseur de tête de lecture dans le bandeau pour vous placer à n'importe endroit pour commencer la lecture. Lorsque le film n'est pas lecture, les flèches gauche et droite du clavier permettent d'avancer image par image. Fenêtre Informations Le commande "Menu Fenêtre -> Afficher les infos" (POMME+I) vous permet d'afficher une fenêtre "Info" qui affichera le titre complet, le copyright et quelques autres infos lorsque celles-ci sont disponibles. Vous pouvez aussi connaître les dimensions exactes, la compressions utilisée, le nombre d'images par secondes, la taille du flux, sa durée, son débit et diverses informations techniques : avec le triangle "plus d'info...". Boutons Réglages Une série de réglages vous permettent ajuster des paramètres vidéos et audio. La commande "Menu Séquence + Afficher les commande Vidéos" (POMME+K) permet d'afficher en surimpression sur le film un curseur qui vous permettra d'ajuste la teinte, le contraste et la luminosité du film. La commande "Menu Séquence + Afficher les commandes Audio" permet d'afficher dans la barre de lecture des curseurs pour ajuster la balance, les aigus et les graves de la piste audio. SIGNETS La fenêtre des signets vous permet de mémoriser des séquences de votre choix.Ouvrir la fenêtre à signets Utilisez la commande "Menu Signets + Afficher les Signets". Ajouter un signet Pour ajouter un signet, il suffit lorsque la séquence est ouverte d'utiliser la commande "Menu Signets + Ajouter à signets" (POMME+D). Vous pouvez aussi glisser directement une séquence depuis le finder dans une des cases vides du tiroir.Organiser ses signets Vous pouvez aussi ranger vos signets en les glissant d'une case à l'autre ou en utilisant la commande "organiser les signets" du menu "Signets". Vous pouvez aussi glisser un signet du tiroir vers le bureau ou une fenêtre du Finder, le signet devient alors un fichier QuickTime qui est un raccourci vers la séquence (internet ou local). Cette dernière solution s'avère plus pratique si l'on veut conserver beaucoup de signets vers des séquences. IMPORTER AVEC QUICKTIME PRO QuickTime Player Pro vous permet d'ouvrir ou d'importer différents types de médias pour réaliser des montages ou pour convertir au format QuickTime des séquences d'autres sources. La fonction "Ouvrir" permet d'accéder aux séquences QuickTime (.mov) ainsi qu'au format natif reconnus par QuickTime (mpg, mp3, avi, 3gpp, mp4, dv...) Pour les autres médias il convient d'utiliser la fonction import qui permet de convertir un média en une séquence QuickTime (.mov). Ouverture Le menu "Fichier" donne accès aux fonctions d'ouverture de base : Ouvrir la séquence... pour ouvrir une séquence native QuickTime (.mov) Ouvrir une suite d'images pour convertir une série d'images fixe en une séquence (voir paragraphe suivant) Ouvrir l'URL pour ouvrir une séquence sur le réseau intranet ou internet en entrant directement l'URL (du type <http://www.tv-radio.com/162/pepperplayer/radios/franceinter.mov>) sans utiliser de navigateur internet La fonction d'ouverture de séquence vous permettra par exemple d'ouvrir un fichier sonore (mp3, aiff...) avec lequel vous pourrez effectuer la sonorisation d'un montage avec les fonctions d'édition. IMPORTER UNE SUITE D’IMAGES La fonction ouvrir une suite d'image, vous permet d'importer une série d'images pour constituer une séquence. Par ce biais vous pouvez assembler rapidement des images (capturée avec un appareil photo par exemple) pour construire un film d'animation ou un diaporama. Vos images doivent respecter certaines contraintes : être toutes dans un même dossier être toutes du même type et nommés suivant le schéma xxxxnn.yyy ou nn est le numéro de chaque image, par exemple : "image01.pct", "image02.pct"... Pour importer cette série, sélectionnez "Ouvrir une suite d'images" depuis le menu fichier, puis sélectionner la première. QuickTime vous présente alors le dialogue ci-contre pour sélectionner la vitesse d'affichage de ces images. Cliquez sur OK, votre séquence est prête, vous pouvez la jouer. Il s'agit d'un séquence dépendante (donc lié aux images sources), il conviendra de l'exporter dans un formet natif QuickTime pour l'exploiter ou la diffuser sur un autre ordinateur.
