TCCS Code Standards At TCCS students are expected to attend school appropriately groomed and dressed. We also embrace our identity as a Christian school, and how we dress impacts our witness for Christ to the world. While fashion changes, moderation and should still drive our decisions about dress. The is established to clarify standards of appearance, to encourage modesty, and to provide a distraction free orderly learning environment. Any attire that are not conducive to an educational setting or are contrary to the goals of TCCS are not permitted.

GENERAL ● Clothing that creates a distraction by being too short, tight, skimpy, bizarre, exposes , cleavage, or midriff is unacceptable. ● Clothing that advertises alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or other inappropriate or suggestive ideas are prohibited. ● Extreme or coloring are not allowed for girls or boys. That is, hair color that is not natural is not allowed at school. ● Staff reserves the right to have students remove hats/hoods/headphones for any reasonable cause. ● State law requires that shoes be worn at all times and be appropriate in the event of an evacuation.

TOPS ● All tops worn on females must fully cover any . ● Shirts will be long enough to cover the midriff area at all times. ● Neckline will not reveal cleavage. ● Tops are not to be worn off the shoulder. ● Sleeveless tops/ must have a 2” thick strap or greater.

BOTTOMS ● Short length must be a minimum of mid thigh. ● Skirt length is to be just above the knee. ● Skirt lengths shorter than above the knee must have opaque tights or long leggings underneath. ● Leggings and pants must be worn with tops that are mid-thigh in the front and back at all times. ● Pants with rips or holes exposing skin above mid thigh are not permitted ● Sweatpants and athletic shorts are not to be worn outside of PE class

PE CLOTHING ● Students provide their own clothing for PE and will change into appropriate clothing for PE. ● Students must wear t-shirts and shorts or athletic pants. ● Non marking tennis shoes are to be worn while in the gymnasium.

VIOLATIONS ● When students are out of compliance with this policy, the administration will determine if the student may remain in classes or be held out until appropriate attire is found. Repeated violations may result in in-school or out-of-school suspension. Parent/Guardian will be contacted as needed.
