Created by RusVinyl LLC page 1 RusVinyl – Summary of Social Issues February 2008 Introduction This Summary of Social Issues is a public document in English and in Russian and is available for viewing at the www.solvinpvc.com web-site, www.sibur.ru and shortly at www.rusvinyl.ru, which is currently under construction. It has been prepared by RusVinyl LLC to present the findings of a review of the social issues relating to the RusVinyl Project for stakeholders. Project Description The objective of the Project is the construction of a 330 thousand t/y Integrated Vinyls Plant near Kstovo in the Nizhniy Novgorod region. The Project is supported by the Regional Authorities and will be located within an existing designated Industrial Zone. For the purpose of construction JV “RusVinyl” LLC was created by “SIBUR Holding” JSC and SolVin (JV of Solvay & BASF). The advanced technology of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) production from the Solvay Company has been selected for the project. A series of plants constructed using the same technologies are successfully operating in Western Europe. Integrated Vinyls Plant will produce PVC (suspension and emulsion), as well as caustic soda (sodium hydrate). The ethylene and kitchen salt will be used as main raw material by the Plant. The ethylene will be supplied from the Petrochemical Plant based in Kstovo, and the kitchen salt from the Astrakhan, Donetsk and Solikamsk region. In accordance with the General Plot Plan, the process buildings and facilities will include VCM (vinyl chloride monomer), EDC (dichloroethane), kitchen salt and caustic soda storages, chlorine compressor, Electrolysis unit, Cracking unit, Oxychlorination unit, EDC polymerization unit, PVC drying, process effluent treatment installation also a part of site is dedicated for parking of freight vehicles and passenger cars, rain water. -

E-mail: [email protected] Abstract: 29 species of lichens, 3 non-lichenized calicioid fungi and 3 lichenicolous fungi are reported for the first time from the Kostroma Region. Among them, 15 species are new for the Central Federal District, including Myrionora albidula – a rare species with widely scattered locations, previously known only from the Southern Urals Mts in European Russia. The most important discoveries are confined to old-growth coniferous Picea sp. and Abies sibirica forests in the Kologriv Forest Nature Reserve. Two species (Leptogium burnetiae and Menegazzia terebrata) are included in the Red Data Book of Russian Federation. The distribution, ecology, taxonomic characters and conservation status of rare species and of those new for the Central Federal District are provided. Romanov News Новости Романовых By Ludmila & Paul Kulikovsky №138 September 2019 New Bust to Emperor Alexander III at St. Nicholas Church in Polyarny City A monument to Emperor Alexander III was solemnly opened and consecrated in Polyarny city On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Polyarny, a solemn opening ceremony of the bust of Emperor Alexander III took place on the territory of St. Nicholas Church. Polyarny is a city in the Murmansk region, located on the shores of the Catherine’s harbour of the Kola Bay of the Barents Sea, about 30 km from Murmansk. The city is home to the Northern Fleet and as such is a closed city. The port was laid down in the summer of 1899 and named Alexandrovsk in honour of Emperor Alexander III. In 1931 it was renamed Polyarny., Parishioners of the church of St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker and Rector Archpriest Sergei Mishchenko, initiated and sponsored the bronze bust of the great Russian Emperor Alexander III. The monument was made with donations from parishioners and in February 2019 was delivered from the workshop of Simferopol to Polyarny. The opening and consecration ceremony was conducted by Bishop Tarasiy of the North Sea and Umba. The St. Nicholas Church, with the bust of Emperor Alexander III standing under the bell tower. Stories from Crimea In 2019, there were two extraordinaire reasons to visit Crimea and Yalta in particular - the 100 years anniversary of several members of the Imperial Romanov family, including Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna, leaving Russia from Yalta - and 125 years since the repose of Emperor Alexander III in Livadia. -
