On June 13, 1691 Domingo Teran and Father Damian Massanet pitched camp alongside of a group of friendly Payaya Indians at the San Antonio River’s headwaters. It was on the day of Saint Anthony of Padua and they named the spot San Antonio de Padua. Three hundred and thirteen years later Texas Grain & Feed Association holds its 116th Annual Meeting in the namesake’s city. What Lessons will you take from the River?

DAY 1 - Wednesday, April 9th -TGFA has learned that San Antonio is a strategic spot for a great Annual Meeting. There is no better way to begin the 116th than with a golf tournament, sporting clays and a K-State Combustible Dust Workshop in both English and Spanish – make sure to send your employees. Finish off Wednesday with the Opening Reception at the Hotel. EXPO Exhibitors will set-up on Wednesday afternoon.

As chain restaurants and establishments have begun to flourish, now taking up about a third of commercial space, talk has begun at City Hall about limiting their existence on the River Walk and keeping a distinctively local flair.
