TINIE TEMPAH SE UNE AL CARTEL DEL FESTIVAL DE MÚSICA MTV PRESENTS GIBRALTAR CALLING
El inimitable Tinie Tempah, que saltó a la fama mundial en 2010 con su single de debut, Pass out, que llegó al número uno de las listas de éxitos, es el último artista que se suma al cartel del próximo festival de música MTV Presents Gibraltar Calling, que se celebrará en el Victoria Stadium el fin de semana del 2 al 3 de septiembre de 2017.
Tras ese primer éxito, Tempah consiguió más éxitos enormes, incluido su segundo número uno en las listas con el sello Stateside, su Written in the stars, así como Frisky, Miami 2 Ibiza, Invincible y Wonderman, todos ellos incluidos en su primer disco, Disc‐Overy, que fue directo al número uno de las listas.
Tras el disco, Tempah recibió numerosos galardones, incluidos el de Mejor Actuación Novel (Best Breakthrough Act) y el de Mejor Single en los Brit Awards; el de Mejor Debutante en los premios MOBO y un premio Ivor Novello a la Mejor Canción Contemporánea, que contribuyeron a crear su estatus como una de los artistas más importantes de su generación.
Además del famoso “choca los cinco” nada menos que con el Príncipe Guillermo en los premios BAFTA de 2014, Tempah también ha actuado en eventos de primer nivel, entre los que se encuentran la ceremonia de clausura de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres, todos los festivales importantes desde Coachella a Glastonbury, y ha sido telonero de artistas como Jay‐ Z, Usher y Rihanna. Su última gira de conciertos en el Reino Unido incluyó un triunfante regreso a casa en el O2 Arena de Londres.

hacer un homenaje a todos los géneros musicales que escuché mientras crecía y que me hicieron soñar con ser rapero”, explica Tempah. “Lo bueno de ser de Londres es que escuchas diferentes estilos de música y estás expuesto a muchísimas cosas. Quería hacer un disco que hiciera sentir nostalgia de todos esos grandes sonidos británicos de distintos géneros, ya sea garage, grime, hip‐hop o R&B.

TINIE TEMPAH TO JOIN THE STAR-STUDDED LINE UP AT MTV PRESENTS GIBRALTAR CALLING MUSIC FESTIVAL
The inimitable Tinie Tempah who shot to world prominence in 2010 when his debut single ‘Pass Out’ hit #1 is the latest artiste to be announced for the upcoming MTV Presents Gibraltar Calling Music Festival to be held at Victoria Stadium over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd September 2017.
Many more huge crossover hits followed for Tinie in the shape of his second #1 and Stateside breakthrough track ‘Written in the Stars’, as well as ‘Frisky’, ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’, ‘Invincible’ and ‘Wonderman’ – all of which featured on his debut album ‘Disc-Overy’ which went straight to #1.
Numerous awards followed, including Best Breakthrough Act and Best Single at the BRITs; Best Newcomer at the MOBOs and an Ivor Novello for Best Contemporary Song – all of which underlined his status as one of the most important artists of his generation.
As well as famously high-fivin’ none other than Prince William at 2014’s BAFTAs, Tinie’s highest profile live shows have included the closing ceremony of the London Olympics; every major festival from Coachella to Glastonbury; as well as supporting the likes of Jay-Z, Usher and Rihanna. His most recent UK arena tour included a triumphant homecoming show at London’s O2 Arena.
Tinie has spent the majority of last year writing and producing new material in his home studio. The result is ‘YOUTH’ – released in January of this year. “I wanted to give a nod to all of the genres of music I heard growing up that made me want to be a rapper,” explains Tinie. “The good thing about being from London is that you hear so many different styles of music, and are exposed to so many different
