Flash Memory Camcorders – Records video directly to a flash memory card, the same flash memory card often used by digital cameras. Hard-Drive Camcorders – Records video directly to the camera’s hard drive. The name Blu-ray Disc refers to the "blue laser" used to read the disc, which allows for five times more storage than on a DVD.
