Fr. Michael Graham, 52, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He earned a BSS with majors in philosophy and psychology in 1975 from Cornell College. He earned an MA in American Studies in 1977 and an MA in 1978 in psychology from the University of Michigan. In 1983, he earned his Ph.D., also at the University of Michigan, in American Studies.

Fr. Graham’s strategic plan for the University places a renewed emphasis on the learning experience of the student. Part of his plan calls for the creation of the James E. Hoff, S.J. Academic Quadrangle (artist’s rendering above), a multi-part project that will provide an enhanced educational experience and better career preparation for all students.

Dawn Rogers Athletic Director Dawn Rogers, in her second year as Athletic Director, is the first woman to hold the position at Xavier University. Rogers was the senior associate athletic director at Xavier since 1998.

In her previous role at Xavier, Rogers has served as administrator for seven of Xavier’s athletic programs. She also tracked student-athlete initial eligibility, coordinated financial aid and housing, was the admissions liaison and oversaw the department’s compliance program. In addition, Rogers worked closely with the student-athlete advisory council (SAAC) and the CHAMPS/Life Skills program.

Rogers spent nine years as assistant athletic director at the University of Akron and was director of promotions at Temple University from 1988-1989. She spent one year before that as corporate and group sales coordinator at the University of Cincinnati.

Rogers earned a master’s degree in sports management in 1987 from the University of Massachusetts. She received her bachelor’s degree in physical education and business from Ithaca College in 1986. Rogers, 40, and her husband, Rob, have two children, Owen, 9, and Hazel, 6.
