Enfield Harriers News Page 3 SA Sports Star of the Year Congratulations to Brooke Billett who has been nominated for the 2006 South Australia Sports Start of the Year. ―A gold-medal performance at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne last year thrust Brooke Krueger-Billett into the international spotlight. The junior primary teacher from Dernancourt Primary School won a gold medal in the hammer-throw event. In front of 80,000 people, the champion athlete broke a Games record with a throw of 67.9m. She beat a field of 12, including Manchester gold-medallist Lorraine Shaw of England to win the event.‖ The SA Sports Star of the year will be announced on Friday, February 23 at the SA wine centre. Last year the books were very popular and raised over $552 for Enfield Harriers. What is the Entertainment Book?
