1. WEATHER CONDITIONS 1.1. South-West Monsoon-2020: Major Agriculture in A.P depends on South-West Monsoon. The South-West monsoon hit Kerala on 1st June, 2020 as per IMD report. The South West monsoon entered Andhra Pradesh on 7th June in some parts of Rayalaseema and covered entire state by 12.06.2020. The SW Monsoon has been withdrawn from Andhra Pradesh by 27.10.2020 and from entire country by 28.10.2020. (Rainfall in mm)

NORTH EAST MONSOON: North East Monsoon has commenced over parts of extreme Southern peninsula by 28.10.2020. The average rainfall received from 1.10.2020 to 30.12.2020 is recorded as 370.3 mm as against the Normal as on date 295.8 mm showing Excess 25.2 per cent. Dry weather prevailed over Coastal AP and Rayalaseema.
Overall, the average rainfall received in Andhra Pradesh from 01.06.2020 to 30.12.2020 is recorded as 1075.1 mm as against the Normal as on date of 851.8 mm showing by Excess 26.2 percent.

The district wise rainfall from 1.6.2020 to 30.12.2020 is presented in Annexure-I. Status and deviation of Rainfall during the period from 1.6.2020 to 30.12.2020 is presented below:

4. AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS AND CROP CONDITION
Kharif crops like Paddy is at harvesting stage. Red gram is at flowering to pod formation and pod development stage. Cotton is at 2nd and 3rd picking stage. Sugarcane is at cane development to maturity and harvesting stage. Rabi: Rabi Sowings are under progress in the state. Bengalgram, Blackgram, Greengram are at sowings to vegetative stage. Jowar, Bajra, Maize and ragi are at sowings to vegetative stage. Rajma and Niger crops are at harvesting stage. Transplantation of paddy is under progress in NSRC at Guntur and Prakasam districts and under Somasila in Nellore district. Raising of paddy nurseries and transplantations are under progress in Godavari Delta region. Due to “Nivar” Cyclone, Kharif standing and Rabi cropped area damaged more than 33% under different crops is 4.59 Lakh ha with production loss of 8.57 LMTs worth of 1948.08 Crores monetory loss. Seed distribution at 80% subsidy is under progress in “Nivar” cyclone affected districts. The Input subsidy amount of Rs. 601 Crores were disbursed to “Nivar” cyclone affected farmers in the state. 4.1 PEST AND DISEASES The pests & diseases on Rabi and Kharif standing crops have been reported below. Rabi 2020-21
The total area sown in the State is 11.62 lakh ha. (51%) as against the normal area of 22.75 lakh ha., and normal as on date is 16.07 lakh ha. (72%).
