visually accurate recreation of a Bruce Springsteen & The E St. Band show. Matt Ryan, from the World Famous "Legends in Concert" cast, began playing the Springsteen character in 2000, in Legends "full scale" Las Vegas show. JULY 13th - Night in Venice – Ocean City’s 65th annual Night in Venice will begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, and follow a route along the bay from the Longport Bridge to Avenue. The theme this year is “Celebrate: 65 Years of Night in Venice.” The parade will feature special appearances by rock ‘n’ roll legend Chubby Checker, Kate Flannery from NBC’s “The Office” and Broadway/TV star Caissie Levy. A fireworks display will follow the parade at dusk. Free shuttle transportation will be available and grandstands will be set up at street ends along the route. Caissie Levy is currently starring as Elsa in the stage production of “Frozen.” She also has performed on Broadway in “Les Miserables,” “Wicked,” “Hairspray” and “Rent.” She headlined Carnegie Hall with the NY Pops and backed up Rod Stewart during his Las Vegas residency. JULY 16th - Children’s Theatre Series: Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical presented by the Ocean City Theatre Company. Based on the beloved Caldecott Honor-winning picture book, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical is filled with adventure, song and dancing laundry and an instant children's classic! This grass-roots family event has grown to be one of the largest on the East Coast. The event attracts some of the biggest names in surfing such as Bethany Hamilton, Brad Gerlach, the Gudauskas brothers and Rob Machado. Local pros join in on the fun. The show encompasses virtually every genre and style of musical theatre from the classic songs of Jerome Kern, Lerner and Loewe and to today’s Broadway blockbusters such as Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, Spamalot, and Spring Awakening.
